Politics › ‘End Of Banditry Is Near,’ NAF Inducts ATAK-129 Helicopter (Photos) by PressMyButton(op): 7:49am On Nov 19, 2024 |
The Minister of Defence, Badaru Abubakar, has expressed confidence that the end of Banditry is near, urging the troops to synergize with ground forces and other stakeholders to defeat the enemies of the country.
His confidence follows tremendous successes recorded in the last one week by the troops of the Nigerian Air Force in the Northwest Region where a lot of Bandits’ hideouts were dislodged.
The Minister, accompanied by the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hassan Bala Abubakar, was speaking on Monday when he commissioned two additional ATAK-129 Helicopters inducted into Operation Fansan Yamma Sector 2 at the Airport Wing, of the NAF, Katsina State.
He explained that the two additional helicopters have advantage over other fighter jets to ensure that no enemy can hide from justice and were deployed to defeat bandits and other criminal elements that undermine the peace, stability and prosperity of the Northwest Region. https://www.channelstv.com/2024/11/18/end-of-banditry-is-near-says-defence-minister-as-naf-inducts-atak-129-helicopters/

Kobojunkie: The World Bank report does not suggest support for all policies that have been suggested by the government in the last 17 months. So, I am not sure what you are going on about. And you have yet to prove that World Bank opinion differs. Pls get yourself informed first before jumping into an argument. |

Kukutente23: It is common sense
You can see tat the World Bank is giving a timeline of 10 to 15 years. Will Tinubu be in government in the next ten years? If according to WB, things still remain in this parlous state when Tinubu is handing over, he will be termed the worst president ever, and his successor will most certainly revert course in a bid to extricate himself from the calamity. So the IMF is correct and WB is just playing to the gallery The key word here is "sustain". Meaning that the President has laid the right foundation for economic growth which has to be sustained by successive governments, otherwise we fall back into the cesspool of economic quagmires. |

Rufai works with Arisetv and the media platform was aware of the predictions of the world bank regarding the President's economic reforms. If Rufai and his hordes believed in IMF report and would therefore take to trolling, pessimism and painting a gloomy picture, the Presidency, on the other hand, has the right to believe the report of the World Bank and to remain optimistic about the long term sustainable growth of the economy. To each their own.

Politics › Tinubu’s Tax Reforms: You’re Selfish — Former Kano Spokesman Slams Kwankwaso by PressMyButton(op): 2:35pm On Nov 18, 2024 |
Former spokesperson to Abdullahi Ganduje, Salisu Yakasai, also known as Dawisu, has said the former governor of the state, Rabiu Kwankwaso, is against President Bola Tinubu’s recent tax reform bills because they do not align with his interests. Dasiwu made this known on Monday in a statement on his X account. This comes as Kwankwaso, in his recent comments, said, ‘Lagos Axis’, which he described as Tinubu’s supporters, are on the move to colonise the North with his policies. Kwankwaso accused Tinubu of meddling in Kano State politics.
However, Dawisu said that Kwakwaso is crying fowl because Tinubu’s policy does not align with his personal interests.
According to him, in 2014, Kwankwaso and the ‘Lagos Axis’ aligned to have imposed Emir Sanusi Lamido Sanusi on Kano people to spite the former, President Goodluck Jonathan.
“It’s funny how we quickly forget history. In 2014, when Emir Ado Bayero died, this same “Lagos Axis” flew into Kano, met with you as the then Gov of Kano, and lobbied for SLS to be made the Emir against the wishes of the majority of Kanawa, just to spite Jonathan (SLS wasn’t even part of the 3 contenders nominated by the Kingmakers then). You agreed to it after “the Lagos Axis” promised to support your presidential ambitions in 2019. https://dailypost.ng/2024/11/18/tinubus-tax-reforms-youre-selfish-former-kano-spokesman-slams-kwankwaso/?

Ipob are trying to deflect from their criminal king. A drug lord that wasn't convicted, is that one a drug lord?. The two brothers were living with their elder sister, Ngozi Okonjo, while they were going around the neighborhood burglarizing and stealing people's properties. Ngozi must have been aware about the activities of her siblings. |

What do you make of this?. A family of a Professor whose kids were engaging in criminality abroad. Evaded jail and ran back home to cover up their tracks. They have been rewarded by the community who ignorantly reverence and worship them. The update is that they continued to abuse their position in entrenching fraudulent activities in the community. Some members of the community petitioned the DSS and Delta State Government over their criminality while investigation is currently ongoing. |

After initially failing to make his appearance on 12 August 1995, he finally showed up at the court on 14 July of this same year. He was initially charged with theft and conspiracy to commit the crime with his younger brother, Onyema. The first count charge indicated that Mr Okonjo stole “assorted computers and computer peripheral equipment, the property of Digital Equipment Corporation, having the value of $300 or greater” between 23 January 1995 and 24 March 1995 in Montgomery County, Maryland. According to the court document, the offence violated Article 27, Section 342 of the Annotated Code of Maryland and was against the peace, government, and dignity of the US state. He was released on bail on “personal recognisance” after paying a $2,500 bail bond. Then unemployed and single, Mr Okonjo resided with his elder sister, Ngozi Okonjo, at 7004 West Greenvale Parkway, Chary Chase, MD 20815, in the US.
