Hi All ,

Has anyone successfully gotten USA visa after being refused in 2019/20 during the popular "you do not qualify at this time" period? Especially those who had their kids in the US.
Thinking of reapplying, but need to be sure things have improved at the embassy.
Please advice, reapply or not to apply from recent trends....

@Kukuru, let me respond on behalf of the poster, Lions conference is an in person conference open to members all over the world, its a social organization that helps makes the world a better place, so yes the poster will be attending in person.

Canada is very much aware of this conference, and will be issuing visas to qualified members... What i am trying to say in summary is that, not all posters seeking for answers on this forum ask stupid questions... Not everyone will post their full reasons for seeking a visa to canada, we should try to be open minded when giving response to post. No one is a visa officer here, hence no one should be judging anyother person's intent or purpose or travel.

Let us all try to give best advice or walk away.

What's the purpose of the visit? Can't you do the meeting online? Why must you be in Canada to participate in the meeting?
These are part of the questions you need to address.

Please which one is Biometrics validation letter? Is it different from biometrics instruction letter? And at what point do you receive this?

No you have nothing to worry about, after your wedding, you can put in your application for spousal visa, showing all the necessary documents required. Go to the spousal visa post on Nairaland and study the requirements step by step. I dont think you need to apply for visitors visa anymore.

Hi All. I just got refused this October for a UK tourist visa for 6months. I am a first time applicant and I didn’t do a thorough ground work before application. I am self employed with a CAC for limited liability company registered in 2019.
I used my business account only without using a savings account.
I was refused on the grounds that I didn’t provide evidence that I am in receipt of a regular income from my business.
I want to start paying myself a salary of 500k monthly into a savings account so I can reapply in March(complete 6 months).
I also am getting married in December to a person already in the UK on Tier 2 visa.
My issues are
1) In my application, I didn’t mention my fiancé at all and only stated that I wanted to visit the UK for vacation only and used a hotel booking. Will my subsequent marriage to him, only 2months after my refusal be a red flag for them and cause them to doubt the marriage even if I submit my marriage certificate and pictures?
2) if he has to apply for spousal visa for me, will my refusal be an issue?
3) I am also a skilled worker. If I decide to apply for a job in the UK and get a company to sponsor my application for a tier 2 visa, will my refusal be a problem?

TLS collection mail finally dropped today, meaning visa was granted because no refusal mail.

Holy Moly!! 2 months!!! Ha please when u go and pick up tomorrow, just help me beg them to release my passport. My trip is next week fa!

Meanwhile thx for the update, I think we should all come back with our updates once we receive our passports.

Helllppppp oooooooo, today makes it 5weeks since i applied for visiting visa. I have called, sent mail and still no tls mail for pick up. Tracking still at DMC abi wetin dem dey call am. I submitted and did biometrics since 20th of september. Please anyone experienced this, or in same situation? Their response to my call and mail is that a decision has been made, but they dont know when i will get my passport, abeg which kain thing be this. Can someone help huh

? Meanwhile, im not a 1st time applicant or traveller, i have been visiting UK from my mother's womb. Im tired of not knowing what is goingon...Can anyone help??

Ask someone living in the Uk to help you place the call. I did that and I was told a decision has been made on my application, and I should wait till i receive a mail from TLS to pick up. I asked when exactly I should be expecting the mail, but the person said they do not have an idea.. so we wait!

Someone mentioned that the delay in processing application is being caused by the Afganistan refugee resettlement, dont know if its true.

Dear USMissionNGA,

I submitted my visa application through drop box on the 17th of April. For 2 weeks after the submission I was able to track the status of my passport through the application dashboard.
Each time I log in to check the status now, it says , NO status for this Passport.
I am only able to track though the ceac website, which states passport received since the 18th of April.
My question is what is the exact processing time for the last set of drop box visas.
This is because I'm scheduled to travel in August and I have another visa Interview schedule for June at another embassy.
Can I know the estimated wait time for passport pick up , this will enable me make a decision between waiting or asking for the passport.
