CrimeRe: I Thought God Has Forgiven Me - Man Who Kidnapped And Killed A Poly Student by prince13: 1:07pm On Oct 02, 2016
Indeed God may have forgiven you but you must definitely serve the punishment and pay for your crime.
Blackberrybabes:
On May 25, 2016, Ikenna Osuji, a student of the Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, Imo State, who was working as a taxi driver along to finance his studies, met his death in the hands of kidnappers when he drove into a land where 30-year-old Chinedu Azuazu was a security guard.

Saturday PUNCH learnt that Ikenna was fairly known to Azuazu because he used to drive prospective land buyers to the large expanse of land guarded by Azuazu in his cab. But May 25 was the last day the young man would ever be seen alive. He drove into the land again that day and was never seen again.

When Azuazu was nabbed on September 12, 2016 by operatives of the Inspector-General of Police Response Team, details of the gruesome end Ikenna met in the hands of his captors emerged.

Azuazu, a father of one living at Omouku area Port Harcourt, Rivers State, said he was employed to guard the land in question, which belonged to the Alakahia community close to the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital.

He said, “The man who employed us never paid us. He would rather take us to a bar and buy us drinks and then give us small money, like N3,000. It was too small for me. When my wife became pregnant and I needed money to prepare for our coming child, he refused to assist me.
“I saw my chance to make money when Ikenna came to our site on May 25. My colleague, Joshua, and I decided to kidnap him. We believed he was from a rich family and thought that was why he normally brought people to buy land at the site.

“When we sighted him, we threatened to shoot him with our double-barrelled gun. We then kidnapped and took him deep into the forest. While we kept him there, we called his relatives with his phone and demanded a N5m ransom.
“Ikenna’s brother told us that he did not have up to that amount. We reduced the ransom to N2m and threatened to kill him if they did not pay. While we were waiting on the family to pay us the ransom, Ikenna spent 14 days in our custody.
“On the 15th day, I left him in Joshua’s custody to go and buy some food. When I returned I found him lying motionless on the ground. I asked Joshua what happened and he told me that when I was away, Ikenna attempted to escape and he almost overpowered him before he found a stick and hit him in the head.”
Azuazu said he checked Ikenna’s pulse and realised that he was still breathing but faintly.

According to him, there was nothing he could do to help the young man and had to leave him on the ground till he breathed his last.He said after few hours, he went to check Ikenna’s pulse again and noticed that he had died.

The suspect said, “I called his brother, who had been communicating with us about the ransom and he said he could only afford N120,000. I asked him to take it to the Teaching Hospital Road and drop it at a certain spot.
“He did as I instructed and I went there to take the money. We took part of the money to the Rumuola Market and bought a bedsheet, which we took to the forest to wrap Ikenna’s body. We stuffed it in the boot of his car and took it to a farm in Umunkwa Igbodo in Etche Local Government of Rivers State, where we dumped it.
“We later sold the car, a Nissan Primera, in Owerri, Imo State for N180,000. We shared the money and the ransom. I took N158,000 and gave Joshua N148,000. As soon as Joshua collected his share, he disappeared. I have not seen him since that day. I used part of my share to pay a loan I took for my wife’s delivery.”
A source said when police investigators visited Alakahia community, a chief, Hyacinth Akwukwauegbu, told them that a corpse was found on his farm and that it had been buried without reporting the discovery to the police.

Azuazu said after Joshua left, he also travelled to Lagos to search for a job but had to go back to Port Harcourt when no job was forthcoming.

The suspect said, “Few days before my arrest, I had a dream that my former boss, Ibe, was killed. I called to warn him but he asked if I had anything to do at the time. When I told him I had no job, he told me to come and see him. When I got to his house, the police arrested me and said I killed Ikenna. I did not know how they knew.
“I thought God had forgiven me. In July 2016, I went to a pastor and confessed what I did. He prayed for me and warned me against going back to crime. I have heeded his warning. After my arrest, I have also met Ikenna’s brother to ask for forgiveness.”
Ikenna’s elder brother, Peter, who was the one the kidnappers contacted, said he paid N1.2m as ransom as against the N120,000 Azuazu admitted to.According to him, Ikenna bought a car and used it as cab to support himself in school.

He said, “Anytime he was on break, he came to Port Harcourt to use his car as a taxi. I first noticed that sometime was wrong when I had not seen for some days and I got a call from one of my in-laws, who confirmed the same thing that he was missing.
“The day I got a call from his kidnappers, I was about to ask him where he had been because the call came from his line when they told me they had abducted him and I should pay or they would kill him. For the weeks they were in touch, they refused to allow me to speak with him.

“I had to sell one of my properties to raise N1m to add to the little cash I had. But they insisted that it had to be N5m and that if they killed Ikenna, his blood would be on my head. I was terrified and went everywhere in search of money.

“When I eventually got N1.2m, I called them and lied that I had N2m. They told me to take it to East-West Road and drop it there. They said if they saw any glimpse of a policeman, they would kill my brother. When I got to Alakahia Junction, and dropped the money as instructed, I called Ikenna’s line but it was switched off. I had to quickly report the mater to Chuba Police Division and the matter was later transferred to the Rivers State Police Command’s Anti-Kidnapping Department.”

Peter said after one month of seeing no trace of his brother, he started visiting prophets for help in desperation. The prophets told him his brother would be found alive. He later reported the case to the Inspector-General of Police Response Team, who commenced investigation and eventually tracked down the suspects.

Saturday PUNCH learnt that the police eventually arrested Ibe, who employed Ikenna’s killers as guards.

The corpse of the deceased was later exhumed and deposited in the mortuary.

The police have said investigation was still ongoing in the case.

nameerfhtennek:
It's more than 20minutes, I'm still unable to put words together to begin this story. I will try keep it simple and necessarily detailed so everyone will understand the true picture of what happened, why against my belief that writing personal experiences on social media is immature, I had to still write mine. Let's just say I'm not thinking right now, maybe I'm so upset but truth is, I need your advice.

I'm writing this thread seated at the back of a Hilux truck just outside our apartment. Yaa, that me in the picture. You see, today is EID and believe me I should be resting in the house since I'm not working today. Days like this only come by 6times in a whole year and more than anything, I would have loved resting than being out here.

It was yesterday evening, she called and said she her driver were headed to my office. She wanted to pick some stuffs around my office. Yaa, I forgot to say this is Saudi Arabia. If you know Saudi quite well, you will agree with me that a husband will definitely get exhausted running errands for his wife or the family. I was not in the mood for shopping but she wanted to shop. She got upset that I didn't want to accompany her shopping.

She did her shopping alone and returned few minutes before I closed from work. We headed home. Unknown to me, I forgot my internet router in my office because I was rushing to get home and continue with my FIFA 16.
Her internet service expired some days back so we were using mine.

While playing game, she walked into the seating room and demanded for my router. Mine, not hers. With her tone and facial expression demanding the router, I didn't respond because there was an indication that she was warming up for a quarrel. I wasn't just in the mood. The thing is, she is very skilled in extending her anger phases. That is one thing I can't understand till today. Believe me, it was not like this while we were dating. Sorry, I forgot to tell you I married my university girlfriend, she years my junior and the same department. Ya, I'm one of those guys that dated and planned for the future with their girls at the same time. God blessed that plan but at this point I don't understand everything that has been happening for the past one year plus since we got married. She repeatedly demanded that I handed over my router to her but I was quiet. Meanwhile, it occurred to me that I forgot the router in my office the minute she first asked about it. Truth is, I actually needed to use the internet that night for my online FIFA.

After several times of asking for the router and no response from me, she took the TV remote and switched off the TV. She walked straight to the kitchen and hid the remote. I approached her in the kitchen and told her I was not ready for any kinda quarrel. We have had enough for the past one year of getting married. I then told her I forgot the router in my office, I didn't have it. I guess she didn't believe me, she never did. She told me to leave her alone. I returned back to the seating room with my heart beating fast. I knew she wanted a serious quarrel that night. After some minutes, I returned to the kitchen and requested for the remote. Then I figured out she hid it in her pant. Pretending I was passing by, I swiftly went for the remote from under her short gown and grabbed it. She didn't expect I knew where she hid it. She followed me behind and ceased the game console, second indication she wanted me to react. I do have a problem with my temper just like every human, male or female. I have also learnt to deal with it by walking away at times I feel I was going to lose it. The same reason I'm outside at this time, 9:55 pm Saudi time. She knows I have fought hard to tame my temper issues but most times, she makes deliberate efforts to have me overreact to her nags and rants.

I watched her hide the console in her pant yet again. I shuddered in obvious fear because I knew what the woman wanted, a fight. Unable to deal with it,the intimidation and the shame, I went for the console and squeezed it out from her hand while she was trying to hold it tight. That was when the trouble then started. She wanted a buffer to help her spill everything she had nursed in her mind. "You are a violent person!! You can kill, idiot!! You were not shown love by your parents, that is why you will squeeze your wife's hand to collect the console. They allowed you to grow up in the street without parental guidance and love." Then it came....pwaaaaaaah!!! She spat on my face!!!!! God knows, I have never been spat at before, not by my parents, not by my siblings, not by anybody. " I agree I was not shown love by my parents but your Dad is a coward for running away from your mother without being there for you guys when he needed to play his roles as a father. That explains the reason you are like this", I said and walked back to the seating room.

I managed to play a few games which I lost mostly and then slept off around past 5am this morning. Around 3pm, I woke up and went to the office. Not like I had work but I needed to clear my head away from the house. If only there was alcohol in Saudi, I would have been somewhere in a hotel drinking away the shame. When I returned home by past 7pm, hungry and tired. I needed to continue my game but I could no longer find the game console and the TV remote. I asked for it and she ignored me. I managed to eat and then left the house to this truck.

You see, I love my wife more than anything, more than anyone. She is one person in the whole world I could go any length for. I love her, that was why I forgave her when she broke up with me after I left Nigeria for Saudi Arabia. She broke up with me few months after I came to Saudi and started dating another guy twice her age. She says she never expected I would come back to her after she left me but I did. I did because I saw a future with her, a future I imagined, believed in and worked towards its reality. Today we have gotten to a level where most people out there would want to be, our colleagues envy is because they believe we are privileged and blessed but what they don't know is that in the truth, I have no peace. This marriage has become my legacy and my curse.

I want to send her back to Nigeria in few days time and I hope I'm not making a mistake!!! Spitting on my face, nah nah....am so fed up!!!!

THIS IS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE NEWS NAAA

NEHLIVE:
Daniel Odofin, who is based in Ibadan shared these photos of a female officer of the Nigeria Police Force identified as Maryam, controlling traffic under the rain.

"We are quick to point it out when our police do something wrong," Odofin wrote. Today I saw a police woman in the rain, drenched and still doing her duty. Actively doing her job, despite the rain. Not running for shelter even though no one would blame her if she did. This is the kind of person that lifts the image of the Nigerian Police Force.
Her name is Maryam, I didn't get her last name properly or her rank. Her devotion to duty made the difference in a place synonymous with traffic gridlock on a day that isn't comfortable. She doesn't have the kind of salary or allowance that our public officials boast of but she gives meaning to the title "Civil Servant". Help us make Maryam Opep famous, help us show others what devotion to duty is."

InvestmentRe: OANDO PLC Stock Price Is At 3 Year High - Time To BUY? by prince13: 9:53am On Jan 06, 2014
THE RIGTH TIME TO BUY THE STOCK IS NOW,EVERYBODY KNOWS THAT THAT STOCK IS STILL VERY MUCH UNDERPRICED,OANDO IS STILL NOT IN WHERE IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE PRICE WISE GOING BY THE GREAT POTENTIALS AND FUNDAMENTALS INHERENT IN THAT COMPANY,FOR STOCK TRAGERS AND INVESTORS,IF YOU HAVE NOT SEIZED THE OPPORTUNITY THAT LIES IN THE STOCK OF OANDO I BET YOU,IT IS STILL NOT LATE OTHERWISE YOU WILL REGRET IT LATER.
yinka2011: Oando stock price is rising sharp. what do you think, is this the time to buy oando stocks?

Dec 27 (Lagos) - Share of Oando Plc closed at a new one year high today of N 19.97 per unit at the Nigerian Stock Exchange in Lagos. The stock hit these levels on almost volume of 6.9 million units which is less than half the volume as its a daily average 90 day volume. OANDO was higher by 5.11% today adding to gains of this week.

The last time this stock saw these levels was on April 12 2012 when it declined from N 21 per unit to N 19 per unit. Shareholders of this company has long suffered and only now they seem to be recovering a little bit. That is specially true for long term investors of this company who have seen their stock continuously decline from N 120 levels in April 2010. The value destruction in this stock over the past 3 years has been huge.

There is a new momentum in this stock backed by the anticipation of the completion of the Connoco Phillips acquisition deal which is expected by the end of January 2014. This deal could create the biggest Nigerian owned oil company that is fully diversified in the oil and gas sector.

There is also optimism from the Oando Marketing subsidiary which has signed a deal with a German bank to provide capital to micro finance banks in the country to lend to low income householders to enable them to buy Oando's N 800 LPG cooking gas cylinder and shift millions of householders away from cooking on kerosene fuel.

There is also big optimism the gas to power sector that OANDO operates in. The company already owns a gas fired power plant in Lagos with a huge pipeline across the state. Company is also completing a huge pipeline in the eastern part of the country. The Oando Energy Resources could emerge a power company in future as there is plenty gas supply in Nigeria that can be used to provide electricity to people of the country. While some argue that cost of gas power is significantly higher compared to traditional sources, it is also a fact that the traditional sources of power have failed to consumers for so long.

While all this seems good for the company, many analysts continue to doubt all the progress that the company is saying that it is making. Maybe the dilution that occurred during the rights issue is playing on the minds of some of those analysts. It may also be the reason different analysts in the country have opposing views of the stock of this company.

Analysts at FBN Capital In Ikoyi have a price target of N 19.80 for OANDO.

Analysts at Vetiva Research in Victoria Island maintain at outperform rating and a price target of N 19.24 per unit for OANDO.

Analyst at Asset and Resource Management Limited (ARM) in Ikoyi have a 'sell' rating on the stock with a price target of N 16.05 per unit for OANDO.

So investors have a lot to consider before the decide to buy into this or watch from the sidelines. It is a decision that has to be made carefully as where this is going is anybody's call.

POVERTY AND IGNORANCE:
sexylogan: I have had discussions with several of my female acquaintances and work colleagues over the issue of the "Responsibilities" of a boyfriend in a relationship and to my dismay, almost all had the same beliefs. Most of them believed that their boyfriends wer the ones saddled with the responsibilities of

-paying for their new hair-do

-buying them new fones

-sending them airtime regularly

-giving them monetry allowances

-buying them clothes and shoes....etc

The list is endless.

Most even argued that if he (their bf) wants them to look good, he must be ready to spend.

In my mind i was like "WTF!" isnt that their father's responsibilty?

The only exceptions i came across were some of the ladies who were raised abroad and a few who were born in upper class families.

Those ones have a very different mentality. They believed that it was after getting a gud education and subsequently a gud job wud they be able to take care of themselves and buy watever they need.

The scenario got me thinking...

Is Poverty to blame for the general attitude of our naija babes or are they just Greedy?

RomanceRe: "Ways Of Keeping Men Connected In Relationships" by prince13: 1:38pm On Nov 29, 2013
MY WIFE SHOULD READ THIS.
Flaubert Ajiero: Are you short of ideas on how to make a man want to stay with YOU?

Seeing women go after men and beg them to stay is really terrifying.

For most women finding a man isn't the issue, rather what's more important, is how to completely make a man love you and stay with you forever... That's more challenging isn't it?

So from a male perspective, I'm going to suggest few ideas on how to make your man want to stay with you and only you.

1: Don't Try To Be More Funnier

This might sound crazy to you but truth is, it actually affects a man's ego. You don't have to restrict yourself before your man because you're encouraged to be fun and outgoing. But you don’t have to surpass him on that point. Let him be the comedian in the relationship which means that comedy is up to him. You get to chip in just every now and then... it keeps things new.

2: Hand Him His Own Freedom

Well, this definitely doesn't mean splitting up with him just so he can be free in his ways. He can be free while he is in a relationship with you. You just have to allow him to. That way, he will not feel as if you’re keeping him bound too tightly. Do not strangle him with only you alone. He also needs his friends or his family’s company as well. Let him breathe and give him space to spend time with his own undertakings. Let him miss you!

3: Remain Fit and Sexy

A healthy and good-looking body shows that you care enough about yourself and you respect your body as well. You do this and that and apply that extra effort because you want to look as physically attractive, alluring and as sexy as you can. He will admire you and get more attached to you for it. You will make him aroused by you every time you see each other and his ego will be undeniably stroked by being seen with you.

4: Be a Good Cook

Hey, slow down. You don’t have to strive hard just to be the best cook in town. You just need to know a thing and be decently good at it. The only way to a man’s heart is through his stomach” is also imperative as to what really turns on a man’s interest in you. If he likes eating a specially prepared type of food or has something in his favorite’s list, learn to cook it the way he wants it. It’s not that stressful to research the ingredients and procedures, right?

5: Be Happy

Take note of this because this is very essential in a relationship. One effective way to make your man happily stay with you is for you to also be happy. No good man wants to be with someone miserable and boring. When you smile, remember that it is contagious, so smile often and maintain that happy aura. Men love seeing women express and show their great love and appreciation with them. They always want to feel valuable and important. Effort may go a long way towards that destination and may require a lot of work, but if you persevere enough in doing these things, then he will also eventually put the effort in and make you even happier in return.

WHAT IS THE NAME OF THAT YOUR VILLAGE SELF?
PurpleHouse: It was holiday again, and i was just 14Years old! Dad had droped us the previous day with granny for some hard knocks for being sturborn and too playful at school! It was a market day in the village! As we all know, the village has a day set aside for selling stuffs gotten from the weeks of farm labour and hard work! A day to eat well and make some money. On this day, no one is supposed to go to the river or farm, but not me, haaa, i was a bad a****s kiddo! Bad boy from town with a fancy Bike, every village girl's delight! I tool my lil bro and we headed to the river to get some urgent water as the house was virtualy empty! Granny had no knowledge. We walk and got toward the river path, no more houses around here, we were about entering the bushy path when a thought of wisdom crossed my mind! I stopped, and pulled my lil bro back, the road was still very clean, no foot steps on the ground. No drops of water or signs to show that people had passed through heading to the river! I decided to sit down there and wait for till someone came along, so we could go together! Not long after that, a young boy and girl of about my age was heading towards us and walked past us, we got up and followed them instantly! But on getting to tje river, wow, the river was as silent as a graveyard! Dry! But something was strange? There were drum beats and chantings of many things comin up from under the river! Drum beats like the ones u hear when folks are serving their gods, low tempo, but very persuasive, it makes u nod your head like u like the beats and the sound! I was scared! Very scared! Didn't know what was going on, and equally tryina figure out where the beats were coming from! It was indeed under the river! The other guys seem not too bothered, they just fetched their water, took some swimming, and was about heading home! I asked them what was happenin, but they simply replied "Have you forgotten that today is a Market day?" it was there that it downed on me that there was a general meeting going on! But why we could hear the drums and other stuffs was what surpprised me! Aren't they supposed to be spiritual beings? We grabbed our galons and head home as soon and as fast as we could! Believe me, that was the day i feared GOD!
.......................................................................
-----------------------------------------
NB: not very long after my mum's incident, the chief priest of the village cried around the village that the gods of the land are complaining that they don't enjoy their quality time, their privacy. That they are being disturbed by people coming to the river at night, when they were supposed to have their break!
Believe this or not! It's ur own palava, but it all happened live and not in Nollywood! Mum told me all she went through, but when i experienced mine, i feared God, the Sea, and All thats in it!

I asked her for the phone number attached to the teller that sent 800,000 naira last week and she did I thank her and went outside the banking hall.
I called the number and a female voice pops out of the speaker she asked who I was but I ignore her question and ask her if she made any deposit of money last week, but said NO.... ALERT! ALERT!....
2 minutes later she called and said her husband who is currently in USA sent money to his brother's account here in Nigeria before his journey last week and that the brother is also in USA with him according to her the brother (account owner) will be back to Nigeria in 1 week time, I also asked if she received any alert about the money with her number but she said she don't know why she stop receiving alert... ......... She was alerted too.
She asked if I was a banker but I said no, I asked her to send me her husband number but she hang the call.
5 minutes later a foreign number came in I assume it to be the depositor calling with USA number.
He asked who I was and how I got his wife phone number, I narrated how the money was sent to my account and how I got his wife's number. bla... Bla..... Bla
According to him, the teller is with him in USA, I returned to the bank and tell the lady all what had happened she was amazed at how my names as well as the account number is thesame except the difference of one number which is 7 in mine and 2 on his brothers own .
The manager arrived and ask the depositor to scan and send the copy of the teller for verification. It was concluded that the money was for him.
The manager thanks me and introduces me to the workers as well as the customers as a loyal and a good Patriotic Nigerian. According to the manager I made a good decision of reporting to the bank unlike other people who will withdraw and spent the money and later paid and charge for fraudulent.
In the other hand, the wife, her husband and the owner of the account thanks me then asked the manager to leave #20,000 while he transfer the remaining #780,000 to the other account, he promised to be calling me anytime.

What surprises me was how two guys from the banking hall curse me and my entire generation for returning a huge amount of money worth 800k. according to them, I should have withdraw the money and Run to outside country, I laughed and go my way.

I have no regrets what so ever
And if you were in my shoe, what will you do in this situation?

FoodRe: Housewife Caught Stealing Meat From Neighbour's Pot In Sapele by prince13: 4:11pm On Oct 18, 2013
this is a clear case of hunger resulting from poverty.
omanifrank: A housewife in Sapele, Delta State, identified as Oghenero (surname withheld), reportedly got her fingers burnt yesterday, when she allegedly attempted to steal a piece of meat from a neighbours soup pot.

It was reliably gathered that the woman, a mother of three, gained access to the soup after the neighbour who was preparing it left it on the fire unattended and went into her room to get her GSM phone which was ringing.

The light fingered housewife was said to have moved into the kitchen while the other woman was speaking with her caller but was caught by another neighbour who had been watching her movement from a distance.

Confirming the incident, the neighbour identified as Mrs Mouka Felicia, said the hot piece of meat fell from the thieving housewifes mouth after she was slapped by her brother-in-law and she allegedly confessed to have been carried away by the aroma emitting from the pot of soup.

Family sources said the latest incident is not the first as the woman has been involved in several cases of petty stealing for which her husband threatened to send her packing.

WHAT YOU ARE SAYING IS COMPLETE TRASH TRASH TRASH,BOKO HARAM BY THEIR ATTROCITIES ARE NOT HUMANS AND THEY DON'T DESERVE HUMAN RIGTHS,THOUSANDS OF FAMILIES HAS BEEN RENDERED HOPELESS,THOUSANDS OF CHILDREN HAS BEEN MADE ORPHANS BY THESE ANIMALS AND HERE YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT THEIR RIGTHS,YOU ARE PROBABLY A BENEFICIARY OF THEIR HEINOUS ACTS.
Donmams: As expected bigoted non-muslims are celebrating the unjustified killing of muslims. What excuse does the JTF have to kill anyone extrajudicially? What are the courts for? And because these animals supporting sheer wickedness have no conscience, including programmed hate of everything Islamic, cannot spot the injustice being perpetrated here. I can still remember Kabiru Sokoto is yet to be convicted. As a matter of fact no one has been convicted for being even remotely involved with Boko Haram. You fools simply can't see that the Gov't is using the BH problem to carry out a nefarious agenda.
