@toyosiwemi
I meant SEVIS receipt, its was a typo error
The Application documents are three in number for male applicants DS 156,158 and 157(Male Applicants only)
As for the Original Birth Certificate from NPC, You will Need it if you want to take up a Part time Job while schooling or Go for OPT(for Engineering students) after graduation.

@Rachiwise
Your right was talking about DS-157,About The GRE its not a requirement for my programme and yes its a Masters Programme,The University only requested for TOEFEL, which i have already given them.
As regards the ABJ Hotels, Do you recommend anyone of the ones you posted above, and please bear in Mind, we are in a recession grin grin So I will need low budget but convenient one.Thanks, Best of Luck to your brother

@toyosiwemi
Proof that you will return means ties to your country,like Appointment/job offer letter,marriage certificate or landed properties.basically any thing to show that you will eventually come back to Nigeria after your programme.

@rachiwise
I went to the US Embassy in Keiv last week,They advised me to go back Nigeria and apply,so i guess i will be coming in July.But my problem is i dont know how to book for appiontments as i went through the US embassy cannot find were to book, Would be grateful if you can explain the process for me.

@ House did anyone pay his/her tuition fees?
TravelRe: Study Opportunities In Ukraine by prince84(op): 2:05pm On May 19, 2009
@cabage
Yes Most universities demand a return ticket valid for one year.You will be asked that at the embassy.
I think its to you own favor,you can easily return it on arrival.that is send it back to Turkish airlines.
As per the computer science its also not entirely taught in English language.
In TNEU the only programmes taught in Full English medium are International marking,Economics and Tourism.

The Computer science is not entirely in English.

@Dante4life or should i say Mike from Kharkov
I remeber you know very well, I remember exactly one year ago , you were calling me for invitations,i told you all and how we go about it and i guess if i was a theif i would have stolen or tried to swindle you.Four months ago precisely in Febuary you called me and told me that someone told you i took money from him as regards to invitations, explained it all to you and also told you that i was going to get him a new one for this session without any fees,when you found out that you were mistaken you apologised to me and i totally forgot about you.
And here you are again threatening me and all that, we all i can say is thank you very much,if you were man enough you should have picked up your phone when i was calling you last night.I have seen all you post on Nairaland and now i know exactly the type of person you are, if the said student thinks am a theif or something i think him or his dad or my contact person between them should be in the right position to say so.

When i gave out the invitation to this said student(Which he received) he knew that we were working against time and due to the late arrival of his confirmation number or rather the mix up of it caused him not to get visas.When his dad wanted to transfer the said fee i told him to send it to the university directly not to me,His father said it will be easier to send it to me because he already knows me.The university sent them a receipt of this said fee,And when he did not get his visa i took it upon myself to get a refund,they said it can only be possible at the end of the academic year and all this information i passed on to his dad,i also told him that i will take it upon myself to get him a new invitation letter and mail the just to pacify them for the time wasted.Universities in ukraine just started issuing invitations this week and the confirmations are from the first week of june and that when i intend sending him his new invitations.Dont say things you dont know i telling you this for the last time.

Well Like i said before i will give you no mind,you are just one of those people that needs my attention, you have my phone numbers,my contact address so i think you can come tome to handle the perceived grugdes yourself.

The last time you Insult me again,I may not like it.
@ ALL POSTERS
If you feel i have offended you in anyway at all please come forward to say it.I have personally given out over 78 invitations to Students and 73 of them got visas and are currently in Ukraine,Most of them are memebers of Nairaland,I think they are in the right position to say if i have wronged them or not.

@ Cbage
I dont think TNEU offers Environmental science courses for masters level, I would sugges that you call him again and get proper clarification from him or demand a new invitation from a university that does offer your choosen subject.
or as an alternative you can use that invitations to get visas and on arrival switch to a university that offers your programme.I will ask around and give you a list of universities that do offer your course.
TravelRe: Study Opportunities In Ukraine by prince84(op): 8:36pm On May 12, 2009
@Dante4life
If you have actually been reading my posts, I did not tell anyone to pay tuition fees to me and never told anyone to pay any fees to me.If according to you i actually did defraud anyone i think that person should be in a better position to called me names or say or paste anything He/she wants.
I have already advised cabage early on this forum not to part with any fees until she is in the university and i guess she has taken my advice.
I am sick and tired of people like you who jump into conclusions.Anyway i have learnt albeit late in life that you cannot think better than you, if you are a fraud you tend to think everyone one is and vice versa.

In my earlier post i apologized to about two of my students who couldn't make it because there confirmation was not sent on time,i am still in regular contact with there parents and no tuition fees was sent to me,i am not a rector of university.
Next time You want to write stuffs,way your options before you do.If you still think i have done you or your so called friends harm you can paste any information you think you have,and if you are wrong;you owe me an apology

@cabage
Like i told you earlier please donot part with any fees until you are in the university.

@doggybaggy
Ivano frankiv National medical university is a good medical university,as for flights i dont really know the current fares.But you can check turkish airlines they are about the cheapest.

What programme are you supposed to study?DO NOT PAY ANY FEES UNTIL YOU GET TO THE UNIVERSITY.Or better still Let me know when you receive your Ivs and tell me the university,Give me your full name and date of supposed arrival i will contact your university and they will pick you up themselves.

I don't think you will find Robotics in English in Ukraine.It is a highly specialised field and can only be found in Russian Medium.

In as much as i cannot vouch for these so called blacklisted Agents in Ukraine,Star education Consultants i Know the owner of this agency,His Name is Yousaf Khan from Pakistan.He has brought a lot of Nigeria students to Ukraine.If you are straight and sincere with him, he will be straight and sincere with you.

Like most people have observed we have a lot of fraudulent people in this world now, But if you have started dealing with him, I would suggest that you give him the benefit of doubt.He is Not as bad as they say he is,But Like i said if you have any problems let me know.

If you have any problems let me know.But I do not think you will have any.By the way have you gotten the Invitation letters??
TravelRe: Study Opportunities In Ukraine by prince84(op): 5:43pm On Apr 28, 2009
@ cabage:
I would first advice that you try and buy all your books(Text books) before you arrival, its a little difficult to get English books here, even if you do find they will be more expensive.
secondly about clothing's: Ukraine a has very cold winter my advice, buy a lot of jeans(they are also expensive here, and don't take too much of your native clothes because you will hardly wear them.Come with at least three sweaters.For T shirts and normal shirts you can buy here.Also stuffs for your hair,get a lot of them, because you may not find them here and even if you do they will be expensive.

The rest of what you need you can find here, about the food, you don't need to come with any, but if you are the type that finds it hard to adapt fast, then you can come with some of your local foodstuffs that you can compliment with the ones here until you adapt.But in general you don't need to worry,take it one day at a time and you will be just fine.

@anez247
I would not have replied your post if you did not ask for my personal opinion
Lets start with the Main Issue that you brought up

RACISM:Ukraine is located in eastern Europe and as common with most eastern European countries they all have a problem with racism,Some of the people in this part of the world are Xenophobic in nature mostly due to there upbringing,culture or political state.
Fact:Racism is not common to Ukraine alone
Fact:There are racist in all over the world be it in Ukraine,Poland,Britain,Germany,Spain,USA,France or Italy.There are racist everywhere.
Fact:Most people take this racism stuff out of proportion,sometimes Racism is Used as excuse for failure and lack of self believe.

The Ukrainian people are on there own part trying to come to terms with the influx of foreign students to there country, acts of racism are now few and far between, but with time it will die a natural death.So lets stop all this talk of Racism am really tired of commenting on it.

Ukraine weather
From your post you said the weather is Harsh
What an Irony, The closest Neighbors Ukraine have are: Poland,Russia,Romania,Belarus and the Czech Republic.They all share same weather systems, Infact the coldest region of Ukraine is the western part(Lviv,Ternopil,Ivano Frankiv) the distance between Poland and these two is 2 hours by Bus,1.30 hrs by taxi and 45 minutes from by airplane.so i guess if Ukraine weather is harsh, Poland and Romania are equally harsh.

All Eastern European Countries have the same Educational system, There is nothing like EU certificates its either Bologna system or Erasmus system of education.THEY DO NOT PUT IN YOUR CERTIFICATES "EU CERTIFICATES" If you graduate from University college,London, Your certificates will bear University College London,If you Graduate from University of Warsaw, your certificates will bear University of Warsaw,if you graduate from Kyiv National University, your certificates will bear same.I don't Get you at all

If any International students have legitimate reasons to travel to other European countries, they are granted visas if they meet the requirements.

I am feed up with people bad mouthing others because they think they are better or something, I did Bachelor here,My masters also.I got a GA placement in a US University, if the standards of education was/is as bad as your saying i will not get accepted to go for my second graduate programme plus a GA position.or would i?I have traveled to kaiserlautern,Marseilles,Moscow,and your beloved Warsaw all from this Ukraine.In the first week of August i will off to the USA, Like i said i don't get you really,

If you want to sell your business please by all means do so, don't criticize or bad mouth what you don't know.I never for once in anyone of my post say that Ukraine is heaven,Its just a cheap and convenient alternative to those who want to study and can afford to pay huge tuition fees.

If You can study in Uk or USA, Please if you can please find an alternative,the bottom line is to be educated.

NB
THIS IS THE LAST TIME I WILL DEFEND THE UKRAINE EDUCATION SYSTEM,I HAVE SAID ENOUGH.IF MY POST HAVE BENEFITED YOU IN ANYWAY WELL THANK GOD,IF IT OFFENDED YOU WELL AM SORRY FOR YOU

For incoming students if you have any problems call or E-mail me

congratulations on the I-20, you can pay through this link https://www.fmjfee.com/index.html.you dont need anyone's help just follow the instructions on the site,SEVIS FEES is USD 200.
You will need to feel in your sevis number,its on the top right hand corner of your I-20,and also your universities registration number its also indicated on the I-20.

For the required amount in the bank account, you will enough money to cover at least your first year fees and upkeep,and also a little more.
As per financial aid its a little difficult,but your can get on campus employment this can aid your finances a little.

as per paying for the sevis fees from nigeria, i dont reall know about that as i paid mine via visacard fro here.
I wish you all the best

@femilangy
If you have all your necessary documents, go and apply immediately to the university of your choice from the list i gave you, and send all you supporting documents same week through FedEx or UPS and also pay your application fee, my smart money will be that you will make the 2009 fall session since deadline is the 10,may 2009 for fall application.if you are fast and smart and have supporting documents sent on time you can get a decision with 2 weeks.
Dont give up

You definitely need to send a bank statement or at least a certified letter of financial support.Most universities require this especially for graduate programmes.

But there are cheaper universities in the US, with Graduate programmes of 9 to 12 months.you just have to be patient while searching.
i will recommend the following universities to you
Pittsburgh state university,Kansas
North Kentucky University
Alabama A&M
Wichita state University
These universities are quiet affordable especially,there graduate programmes and admission procedures are more relaxed.
All the best!!

Just wished alot of Nigerians can have the opportunity to travel out for just a week and see how things are done properly.

To the Polish Embassy shame on you

3.When answering questions look the consular straight and the eyes,give direct answers and do not fidget unnecessarily.
4.If you don't know an answer to a question, just say so, do not act or look desperate, look self assured and always keep a smile on your face.

Do not forget any of these documents
1.I-20 forms
2.offer letter
3.SEVIS I-901 forms and receipt of payment

@cabage
Traveling to Ukraine when your pregnant will be a little bit stressful for you,since you do not speak Ukrainian language in the hospitals they speak only Ukrainian language, it will be quiet stressful and also it will be more difficult if your staying in the hostel.
My advice is for you to have the baby before you come, but if you have friends who can assist you and if you can pay for a flat and your able to understand the language at least the basics before your delivery date then i think you can cope.

@ all posters, We are not saying Ukraine is the New heaven or something like that, we are just trying to help people who want good education at an affordable cost, things are quiet difficult here, but from my own experience, if an individual decides on something in life he/she should not only think of the negatives, but also of the positives.nothing good comes easy.The situation in Ukraine is a little difficult now especially with this current global melt down, but like we always said nothing good comes easy

@Past And Future student:Especially for those students from last session who had problems obtaining visas due to late confirmation of Invitation letters, we promise to make it right this time at our own expense and we are also apologizing for the inconveniences it may have cost.To the New students for the August/September 2009 session we advice you to start your process early.tell the people helping you with your invitations to try and get them on time so you will not do things in a hurry.
And for anyone who has any question regarding this incoming session, he/she should write to us at krapka84@yahoo.com or call us on +380634465222

wish all new students good luck and success in your endeavors, the winter is here now sp please wear warm clothing's and shoes not forgeting the gloves and hat, Ukraine is really cold.

For those who are still desiring, i would say follow your heart.

Jobs/VacanciesHow To Get Jobs In Nigeria After Studying Abroad by prince84(op): 10:43am On Dec 05, 2008
Dear Nairalanders

Alot of nigerian students that have studied abroad and have graduated in the bsc and msc programmes are still stuck in the countries that they studied in,alot of do menial jobs not befitting the programmes they studied a lot also take up addition programmes as a means of enlongating there residence permit.It will be very nice if anyone on this forum who has gotten an international job or has ideas on how to stop this trend posts his/her experience/method or whatever so as to aid or guide fellow Nigerians looking for jobs after graduation.

If you have any information,links,dates of job fairs or any general idea please try and contribute.it will be a shame if we all leave Nigeria to study(No disrespect to those who studied in Nigeria) and cant get jobs or don't know how to get jobs after graduating.

please lets take this very serious, if i get any information i will post them
