Going through this year's admission has been tedious and Patience consuming.... The madness started from February 29, A Jamb exam where Jamb became a charity organization dashing out 40 marks to cover up for their errors, then mr, sorry Prof emeritus Dibu brought another craziness , the cancellation of traditional postutme screening amd short listing ,An event that paused so many dreams . Then all of a sudden Pa Adamu sent Dibu packing and brought in Prof Oloyede who became the executor of the Olevel + Jamb system of admission...... Let me not bore you with stories as we all know how it later played out with Ui. If you had 290 in jamb and c6 in your 5 basic subjects it not funny that you scored below 50% and your 290 is a waste.... Such is the experience you and I survived. You are a winner and I celebrate you for that.... Am honoured to have ever met people with such great resilience and commitment to purpose. For the months you spent reading, praying, fighting ,hoping and waiting for this day to come I say were never a waste. Congratulations, you win !!!!!! #premieruniversity #universityofIbadan

Like a play, Am about to say congrats to the soon to be UITES . I remembered how I was like you guys till the 1st of October when I saw my name in the merit list under the section of Mechanical Engineering.

I really felicitate with you guys for ur admission into the best university in Nigeria and one of the prides of African. The school that will breed you into being worthy in character and learning.

But the truth of the matter is that it doesn't end in getting admission cos ur journey in tedious and interminable reading got half signed which after ur clearance, it'll be fully signed.

Our Minister of Education brought the standard of education to its minimum level cos of the ridiculous regulation he proposed. It'll be so disheartening and painful when one gets expelled after his/her first year in UI. I need to be blunt to you guys, it's very easy here but the truth of the matter is that 'easy' as a word is relative cos it depends solely on the individual.

If a large percentage of those that passed through UI's deadly screening test fumbled in her exams, what more about those that didn't even write any exam It's obvious that some got their A's and 290's in ssce and jamb respectively through unscrupulous ways but the new game is that no matter how you made ur admission into the FIRST AND THE BEST , try to retain it.

I enjoin you guys to brace up for the challenges ahead cos I know that you guys are made of Super-brains

For those of you admitted into the best faculty in UI which is the FACULTY OF TECHNOLOGY,I personally say welcome but I'll fully welcome you guys officially after clearance. And please, for the new female techites[our baes though u guys are normally few in number], pray they allocate Awo or Idia hall to you guys so that u won't have to carry ur drawing boards for a long distance.... u guys will actually thank me later...

For the new Mechites, I felicitate you guys for your admission into the power engine of the faculty of technology.

See you guys next year and also pray that ASUU reconsiders her resolution.

Students in ui are only those who were admitted between 2011-2015 wen the ever indispensable postutme was introduced....

Those freshers admitted this year will certainly make ui to lose their ranking cos they'll be the worst set of students.

Pardon me Sir but you fumbled on ur way to saying the fact. The mistake UI made was a nationwide mistake which was inevitable in other Nigerian universities. This crappy screening was instigated by ur daft minister of education. UI was in a tight situation and never wanted to go through that screening resulting to the delay of the screeningprocess. As being the first and the best, other universities look up to them and UI wouldn't like to fall prey to the snare cos it's the nation's leading university. Tell me any university that conducted her screening test

So ur point isn't up to par for a rigid argument cos other universities admitted same set of students whose jamb and waec result is questionable.

So shallow-minded. Am a uite, graduating with first class isn't as easy as u might have conjectured. Those guys are really stuffed and also extraordinary to achieve that feat. Tsunami and erosion is very real here, so whenever you see a UI first class graduate, adore him/her.

I was at my Dean's office today to sign the attestation aspect but her secretary sent me away because of that mistake saying the dean will query it. I explained to her that it is a general mistake but she won't listen. This is giving me concern because the deadline for submission is fast approaching. I called the total customer number but they ain't answering it. Please, help oooo.

I hope it's typo error

I just received my mail just some minutes ago. But the confusing part is that they attested correctly that am a mechanical engineering student of university of Ibadan but towards the concluding part of the form, where my HOD will sign, they now wrote that am a medicine and surgery student of university of calabar.

What will I do
