Over time, that foamy/netty substance either gets clogged or breaks up in pieces. This results in different issues When clogged, the following occurs Engine hesitation (for example the car will struggle to climb a hilly road) Engine pinging on acceleration Bad fuel economy because the engine has to work harder to move the car since the exhaust cannot breathe Engine overheating When it breaks up into pieces, the following occurs Engine eats oil Engine damage(complete) bros, infact u deserve some rounds of beer for this piece..very educative...You just described what my Honda CRV 98 model is doing...except for the overheating, every other thing u mentioned here is happening to my car. I noticed that climbing a hill it sounds like if the engine is not getting enough power..when driving, the engine will jerk just like changing gear under a second and continue as if nothing happened..and the fuel economy?..hmmm, on the average i use like 20 litres under 2 days....i checked out the port u described here & noticed that mine has been cut & welded back...so how do i check if the catalyst is still there or has been removed?..secondly, can u give me an idea of the cost of a catalyst and converter for my car make * model?...God bless u real good bro! |

Cars are amazing technological feats that litter our roads round the world today. Every passing year witnesses the debut of a new model or some incredible modification on an existing model. But I’m not here to examine car models or talk about which is the newest innovation. I’m here to talk about the funny names Nigerians give these cars! It’s amazing how some cars that have become popular end up getting nicknames which are usually as a result of situations surrounding them or their looks. I took some time to gather as much as I could on the famous car models that were notorious for one thing or the other way back then and presently today. The Honda series are usually very notorious for getting names.... check it all out here....http://thekushchronicles..com/2010/08/funny-names-nigerians-give-cars.html |
I did the new one just before the suspension order came from NASS..however, it was easy..i gave them the old one & paid N10k...got it under 3days...i renewed for my wife, gave the old one paid n5k...got it under five days...in the case of the new one, data capture is done in the office u dont need to bring passport photos.. |
hi bros, sorry i just saw ur post now...Air Nigeria does not arrangen for visa...what we can do is to help u get accomodation from a hotel there, the hotel will now process ur visa online scanned to u...the visa will be issued on arrival... |
ChrisChino: i sold my 2003 toyota camry (big daddy) here on NL because everyone thinks it belongs to my dad. d person dat bought is still enjoying d car.Chris abeg, people keep telling me that the freelander is a problematic car...can u confirm pls? |
ba_aliyah: @ sirMethod u are right, some second hand are better than toks just as some toks are better than Chinese brand new. I bought a Civic second hand and never had any isseu. I have only changed two tyres and battery nothing else. It is better than my 9 months old 99 camry bought toks. There are good registered cars out there, with luck u can get one. Even toks is luck. I sold a perfect registered 01 Camry here last week, the lucky buyer knew he bought a good car.same here, i bought a registered 98 honda crv for my wife in october last year....drove it down from lagos to enugu without problems, very clean no major issues except the usual ball joint, camber which we all know is due state of our roads...the bottomline is, get it checked out with a good mechanic & also make enquiry for the owner so that u dont buy a stolen car...goodluck bro! |
Bawss1: ^ This site right?Yes, that's the list. I think ur question will be answered best in the coming weeks if the 9 man panel set up by the FG to audit all the airlines will carry out its job to the letter. |

mujila: The post strike audit of nigeria is a standard practice in civil aviation to ensure safety standards. The audit has been concluded and flights are resuming tomorrow. The audit was as result of the strike action emabrked by the local branch of NAAPE as aircrafts were grounded for more than 4 days. It has nothing to do with Dana crash or Nnorom's allegations.Bros u got it right...Nnorom defrauded the company and was asked to resign honourably..He chose the part of spreading malicious information to divert attention from his fraudulent activities as Former Finance director...Air Nigeria is safe with air worthy aircrafts..as a matter of fact Air Nigeria and Arik remain the only 2 airlines in Nigeria to pass the IOSA safety audit- this audit is onducted by IATA which has the basic function of regulatin airline operations worldwide. If u want, just check it out on IATA website or better still google IOSA airlines registry and look for any other airline in Nigeria apart from the two i mentioned.... |
Eziachi: I am a SOUTHERNER and if the truth is to be told, the man has never been beaten in all the elections he was involved, let alone squarely. You and I knew that apart from OBJ's first term, all other subsequent presidential elections makes Saddam Hussein's elections of those days looks clean/credible....My point exactly...well done bros..!!..I wish some pple on this post will reason like u... |
OBJ said PDP must win whether its do or die..u guys never raised dust like this..whats the difference?..Oshiomole said, if they steal ur votes kill them right there dont go to court...Has the heavens fallen?...I'm not a muslim but i believe in performance driven people not opportunistic ones...u guys say he's a Bigot, extremist, Bh leader etc...if truly he is will he allow his first daughter to marry an igbo man?....Will he appoint Prof Tam David West to hold the most sensitive ministry of petroleum?..He has never met the Prof before he a was appointed purely on merit...Its a pity that religion & ethnicity has really eaten deep into our fabric...it showed during the last elections..pple voted GEJ cos he's from our side not even looking at his credentials from where he worked last...i'm sure most of u here have in one way or the other benefitted from Buhari's PTF which remains today the only legacy of so many adhoc agencies set up by various govts...Dora Akunyili was even a product of the General,..she worked under the General in PTF... |
Police say na we free am ..Vigilante group say na lie na we free the guy...who we go believe?..anyway, i know say na settlement must happen & no dulling for police side...they must collect their title.. ![]() |
That's why we're different from the whites...someone who worked hard for his money will hardly spend a fortune on objects of fancy like rings...for our theiving politicians they can spend a billin naira on ring for their wife e no matter cos the money doesnt belong to them... |

nsiadi: Even though Enugu isnt an oil producing state the pace of development , since Chime came on board, is v laudableGbam!!!..u've just spoken it the way it is...all these states have more fed allocation than enugu even some have twice enugu allocation monthly...Sullivan has really tried..wish he could stay beyond 2015.. |
megxo: u'r talking bout roads, y did he leave d road linking Abia state in such "sowie" state................bros,i suppose ur talking about enugu phc expressway.. thats a federal road. |
Sullivan Chime's scorecard Roads- Urban & Rural- virtually all the streets are tarred! Security Health- ESUT Parklane- Women & Children Hosp under construction Commerce- Shoprite, Game etc now live in Enugu Industry- NB, Coca Cola all operate under a hostile free environment with their respective communities Education- IMT to be upgraded to degree awarding inst. ...and so many more... |
No one can take it away from Sullivan Chime of Enugu State..our very own silent achiever........When u visit Uyo, it looks like Iran of old with Akpabio billboards proclaiming dividends as if he's doing them a favour..every where u see the man praising himself or psycophants praising him with pictures of abandoned, commissioned & yet to be commissioned projects...Amaechi's problem is that he hardly completes any of his projects..too many at a time & his concept of ''Rivers people, Rivers money''has not really helped cos u find indigenous contractors hardly able to execute a decent job..I Have worked in all these places for quite a while & i can tell u what i know bout these state govs......Chime has transformed Enugu & note, with very little available resources compared to Akwa Ibom and Rivers....i'm not an indigene of Enugu State neither am i a member of the PDP but i tell u, its good to encourage performance when u see one. the good thing about this guy is that he hardly talks of his achievements..i heard he always tells them let my works speak for me & i really agree with him...Chime it is!! |
Aijara: i need help vry vry badly regarding this fuel consumption, i drive a 98/99 honda CRV jeep,d check engine light is always n ever on, i used full tank for two days, that how worse it can be. plz plz plz i need help.Bros, i have same car but in my case the check engine light is not on..i use full tank for like 5-6days in town. I have taken it for scan but they cant seem to locate where the OBD is..i've changed the Air flow meter and the air filter..it has reduced consumption to a level but i still think something is wrong. Some say i should not touch the injectors to avoid trial & error so what i do is to use injector cleaner whenever i fill up my tank.any other useful suggestion from NL's for me & my friend Aijaralj will be welcomed..thanks all. |
thugangel: hello naira landers, i'm looking for holiday spots in africa that do not require visa from naija and weather is beautiful in december, i'm getting upset with all the countries i've been looking up, they all seem to require a visa if u are nigerian and live in nigeria! The following countries are visa-free for Nigerian passport holders are: Benin, Burkina Faso, CapeVerde, Cameroon, Chad, Côted'Ivoire, Ghana Gambia, Guinea, GuineaBissau, Liberia, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Togo, Barbados, Dominica, Grenada, Haiti, Montserrat, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Turks and Caicos Islands, Iran, Maldives, Singapore, Cook Islands, Fiji, Micronesia, Nauru, Niue, Palau, Samoa, Tuvalu and Vanuatu. The period of days for you can stay varies from country to country and then you would have to obtain a visa. Many other countries issue visas on arrival. Do inquire from their websites or embassies for more clarification. I will suggest in no particular order..Seychelles, Banjul, Sao Tome (visa on arrival). |
naijaspeak: Have you travelled down to Sao Tome from Nigeria lately? What is the airfare for one way and return ticket ( round trip) I am in Warri can I buy ticket in port harcourt or calabar and then travel from either port harcourt or calabar without my coming to lagos or abuja. Where is the take off point and flight schedule? What travel document do I need? Is international passport or ecowas passport enough for the trip? Do I still need other papers or document?Helo bros, i just saw ur post. Yes u can buy our tickets in Port-Harcourt(UBA Olu Obasanjo opp honda place) or from any Travel agent since you are in Warri..for the airfare, we operate graduated fares meaning that fares increase as your proposed travel date draws near..so u get low fares if you book ahead..check our website www.myairnigeria.com for more details on Sao Tome..Sao Tome visa is about 23 USD..as for opportunities, i wouldnt know all i know is that the country is expensive and thrives on tourism |
u can also try diamond plaza hotel in GRA...nice quiet place just behind Christ de king church (former Fr Mbaka adoration ministries)a room is about 3,800 and very fine with big beds... |
