Well, it costs $50000 to have a knee replacement surgery (if that is what she means by knee surgery) in the USA and $20000-$50000 for cruciate ligament surgery

So, while we crticise her for going abroad....if we want our hospitals to be like the USA....we have to pay USA fees, not Nigerians fees.

Keep that in mind. Nothing good comes for free.

P.S...There are good orthopedic centers in Nigeria by the way

Labour unions exist primarily to protect their members but they unknowingly cause massive damage to the economy.

Look at the new minimum wage for instance. How many states could conveniently pay the 18,000 talk less of 30,000. We're the wage increase be enforced as it is in many countries, there'll be massive layoffs by both the private and public sector. This will sharply increase the unemployment rate.

Countries with powerful unions have higher levels of unemployment than those with weak unions.

Also, the economies of countries with weak unions tend to grow faster than countries with powerful unions.

Operating a company in Lagos is very expensive but in terms of security and peace of mind Lagos is predictably business friendly. Corporate decision makers will choose security and predictability above cost savings.

SS have ports just like Lagos but they are not business friendly due to insecurity and unpredictability, even though cheaper and cost sustainable than Lagos.

You keep an army of active militants that terrorize government and has history of kidnapping corporate workers and their managers....this is statement to corporate businesses to stay away.

So you cannot blame just the government for the economic stagnation in your zone, you must take self responsibility and accountability for your actions and its direct negative effect to drive away tax-paying businesses.
