Wrong about Leicester.... they were the champions the previous season. In the season when they beat Sevilla Leicester was 12th in the EPL while Sevilla was 4th .... do not try to 419 the facts there .... grin
Are you ready to bet that Atletico Madrid will win La Liga this coming season?? Put your money where your mouth is ... let me collect free beer from you grin grin
The EPL has had different teams in the top 4, even Mr 4th place Wenger was disengaged from his spot last season. This is what makes the EPL exciting. With La Liga, it's the same story.... will Barca or Real Madrid win it this season?? ..... BORING!!

Lol. Lover of pomo you no dey tire??

Your argument is circular.
Leicester City (12th in EPL) beat Sevilla (4th in La Liga) in the last UCL .... so there you go tongue
La Liga is boring ... only two teams win it, that's why their TV ratings are not as high as EPL.
In fact, lets bet ..... Either Barca or Real Madrid will win La Liga again this year ...... BOOOOOOORING!
You cannot even guess who will win EPL
Go and sleep.

Leicester was the Epl champions when they won Sevilla. Flawed argument again!

As for your second claim, I can authoritatively tell you that the league title will be won by either Manchester City, Manchester United, or Chelsea this coming season. If any other team aside this 3 wins it, I will stop watching football.

Just like the Laliga will be won by either Barcelona, Real Madrid, or Atletico Madrid.

If you are expecting a reoccurrence of Leicester City fairytale, I will gladly remind you that such fairytale happens once in decades. And it has happened in virtually every league, not just the Epl.

Ciao.

Chelsea may have won 1 more game than Real but Real scored 106 vs Chelseas 85 goals because Real was thrashing their poor opposition in the bottom half .... even CR7 had time to be sipping tea when they were up 4-0, 5-0 .... grin
No balance in La Liga

Bros, Real Madrid score lots of goals because they are unarguably the best team in the world.

Their performance outside Laliga should abrogate your doubts. In the past 4 years, they have won 3 Champions League trophies. Scoring mouth watering goals past the best European teams like Bayern Munich, Juventus, Atletico Madrid, et al.

Check their Champions League performance table for confirmation.

Imagine a team scoring 4 goals past a team of Juventus' calibre in Champions League final?

Same way Barcelona humiliated Manchester United in the Champions League final at their own backyard in Wembley. I can never forget that day.

Same way Atletico Madrid disgraced Chelsea in the Uefa Super Cup final.

Same way Sevilla humbled Liverpool in the 2016 Europa League final.

Same way an 11th placed Laliga team, Atletico Bilbao outclassed Manchester United in their last-16 tie in the 2012 Europa League.
The gap in quality didn't start today bro, it have "tayed." Lol

So tell me, if Real Madrid can score 4 past teams like Bayern and Juventus in the Champions League, who then is Arsenal, Chelsea, Mancity, Man United, Bournemouth, Westbrom, Sunderland, Westham, Stoke City, Everton, Watford, and all other mediocre Epl teams?

Mind you, fews hours ago, they battered the best team in Epl: Manchester United. They were lucky, it could have been 4 or more. Zidane had to show some respect by taking away Bale and Isco for little boys Asensio and Varquez in the 65th minute. Lol

Your argument is flawed, and your case dismissed.

Goodnight!

the dominance of spanish clubs over english clubs rests with arsenal and man city and maybe united, but as for chelsea and liverpool ur statistics maybe wrong, talking about league quality even the president of la liga at d beginning of last season is that they want to be like EPL in terms of quality, find out. Talking about dominance in europe that of laliga started in d 2000's so if they were not dominating since d inception of UCL, then someday d dominance will cease to exist, so don't use european success to glorify la liga its in no way near the EPL.

That's the problem about arguments. Both arguers will never want to give in even when the facts are staring at their face.

That's why I don't like to engage in such arguments. It's futile.

Let's face the truth: There is nothing I will type or say, there is no fact I will present, that will make you shove your believes and say "Hey man, I give up. You are right; my convictions are flawed, and yours are correct. I believe in yours now."

Only 1% of the human population can sincerely say the above. Lol.

So let's stop arguing. It's a waste of energy and time.

But the truth still remains that Laliga is incomparable to the Epl. The statistics says so, not me.

Head to head, European trophies, World best players, Uefa best 11, Quality of football, anything you can think of, apart from money and TV deals, Laliga is far ahead.

Gracias, Hasta lavista!

Please correct me if I'm wrong.
In the last decade i can only remember 4 teams winning the premier league.
Man u
Chelsea
man city
Leicester city

la liga last decade
Barcelona
Real Madrid
Athletico Madrid

Lol. Don't mind all these Epl apologists my brother. The problem is they don't check stats. Smh

When you hear them say words like: In Epl anybody can win the league, you will think that literally, every Epl team has won the Epl title. Lol. Most times they just say those things out of excitement and sheer ignorance of facts.

But it's been Man United all the way. The dominance was broken by Manchester City and Chelsea recently because of their Arab and Russian investors respectively.

I usually don't have the time to argue with most of them. But on few occasions I try to correct them and free them from their ignorance.

But you can't blame them, Nigeria is an English speaking country. So Nigerians are bound to have that affinity with the Epl. It's natural. It is the league they grew up to love. So they will always love it more than any other league.

I don't have a problem with that. My problem is: They should always say things they know off and dwell on FACTS not hearsay.

Sometimes I try to understand them, because our people say that "To a man, his mother is always a better cook than another woman."

But that shouldn't make them make falsified and unfounded statements about the Epl being BETTER than LaLiga.

That is utter balderdash!

Oh goodness gracious .... I stopped reading your thesis when I saw you going back that far in time.
The last decade has seen Real & Barca take over La Liga. That is why in the last 11 years these two teams have won the league 10 times. There's a reason why the EPL is the number one followed the league in the world despite not having the best teams in the world ..... BALANCE! It's the reason why they have the highest TV ratings. When Atletico Madrid won the league in 2014 they made less TV money from La Liga than the EPL team that got relegated (Cardiff city) grin
I know La Liga has adopted a fairer sharing of TV revenue sharing but till that manifests in more competitive games between top/bottom teams it remains to be seen.

Very good. I like people who argue with statistical consultations. Now I understand your point of argument is BALANCE OF TEAMS IN THE LEAGUE. I will treat that right away.

Let's refer to our beloved statistics once again. Lol

Last season, Chelsea strolled past virtually all Epl teams. Winning 30 Epl matches.
Where is the BALANCE my brother?

The almighty Real Madrid, the best team in the world, the slayer of English teams, in the unbalanced laliga, won 29. 1 fewer than Chelsea. Can Chelsea stand Real Madrid in any competitive game?

I thought maybe Real Madrid should have won every other team in Laliga. Since there is no BALANCE and no Competition.

iluvpomo:
I think it is the overall competition level ... top to bottom.
Every year in La Liga there are only two winners : Real and Barca. The EPL in contrast has better balance since the 'smaller' teams are able to retain players due to better revenue sharing within the EPL. I agree, the top teams in La Liga are dominant but overall La Liga has become boring/predictable due to that league fed dominance.

Lol. I always hear Epl fans say this (@bolded) and I just smile. Alright, Let me correct that impression tonight.

Since the inception of the Epl in 1992, 49 different teams have competed, only 6 teams have won the trophy.

Man United has totally dominated with 13Epl titles.

Chelsea have 5

Arsenal 3

Manchester City 2

Leicester 1

Blackburn 1.

For Laliga, since 1992 till date; 5 teams have won.

Barcelona and Real Madrid have dominated.

Barcelona have 12 Laliga titles

Real Madrid 8

ATM 2

Valencia 2

Deportivo Lacoruna 1

So bro, where is the so called COMPETITION and ANYBODY CAN WIN THE LEAGUE slogan? Shun and shove the impression that everybody and anybody can win the Epl, because it's a blatant lie. Stats don't lie.

Peruse on the aforementioned information, and next time before you argue, check your statistics. Don't just talk or type relying on hearsay.

And as for the popular saying that it's just Real Madrid and Barcelona, check head to head statistics. It's not even close.

Teams like Atletico Bilbao, Atletico Madrid, Sevilla, have proven too good for the so called big teams in Epl each time they met in European compititions. Ask Chelsea, Manutd, Mancity, Arsenal, or Liverpool. Every one of them don collect at one point or the other. Lol

In the last 19 European ties between English and Spanish clubs, it's 17-2 to Spain on head to head.

Since 2000, Spanish clubs have won 26 European trophies, English clubs have won 7.

La Liga has the better teams, the better players and the better football. Every football statistic, proves one thing: Laliga dominance.

The Premier League has more flawed teams, leading to football that is arguably more pulsating, and more money, leading to it becoming a monument to excess and greed.

It's probably a better business but not a better football league. Not at all.

Epl teams have been struggling to match the laliga in terms of quality of teams and players, that's why over the years, they have spent ridiculously over £1.5billion pounds in player signings. And still counting..... Yet they are still millions of miles behind.

So my fellow football lover, I want to understand your definition of 'BETTER & COMPETITIVE'. If it means inferior in virtually every way then, yes, the Premier League is better and more competitive. Otherwise you'd have to go with Laliga.

Gracias!

Foreign Affairs / Our Missle Test Was Targeted At US – North Korea by Princefrankie1(m): 12:34pm On Jul 30, 2017
The latest ICBM test was a “warning” targeted at the US for its efforts to slap new sanctions on Pyongyang and threatened a counter-strike if provoked militarily by Washington, according to North Korea.

North Korea conducted its second intercontinental ballistic missile test late Friday, with leader Kim Jong-Un boasting of his country’s ability to strike “all the US mainland”.

Technical details of Friday’s launch suggested it was significantly more powerful than the first ICBM test on July 4, with a theoretical range long enough to reach the US east coast, according to experts.

The North’s first ICBM test set off global alarm over the nation’s weapons capabilities and a push by the US to impose more UN and bilateral sanctions, with the US Senate passing new bipartisan sanctions on Pyongyang on Friday.

But the US-led campaign only provided “further justification” for the North’s resolve to maintain its weapons programmes, Pyongyang’s foreign ministry said in a statement carried by the state-run KCNA.

“The… test-fire of ICBM … this time is meant to send a stern warning to the U.S. making senseless remarks, being lost to reason in the frantic sanctions and pressure campaign against the DPRK,” it said, using an acronym for the North’s official name.

The statement came hours after US President Donald Trump warned that he would not allow China — the impoverished North’s sole major ally and economic lifeline — to “do nothing” about North Korea.

Trump, who is at loggerheads with Beijing over how to handle Kim’s regime, has repeatedly urged China to rein in its neighbour, but China insists dialogue is the only practical way forward.

The US also on Sunday had two powerful strategic bombers fly over the Korean peninsula for a joint drill with Japanese and South Korean forces, in a pointed show of force against the North.

But Pyongyang’s foreign ministry urged the US to “wake up from the foolish dream of doing any harm to the DPRK.”
“If the Yankees… dares brandish the nuclear stick on this land again …the DPRK will clearly teach them manners with the nuclear strategic force,” it said.

There remains doubts whether the North can miniaturise a nuclear weapon to fit a missile nose cone, or if it has mastered the technology needed for the projectile to survive re-entry into the atmosphere.
But since Kim came to power in 2011, there has been a series of technical advances, including three nuclear tests and a string of missile launches.

In all, six sets of UN sanctions have been imposed on North Korea since it first tested an atomic device in 2006, but two resolutions adopted last year significantly toughened the sanctions regime.

Nairalanders, wetin una think? Take a look at the asss, Check your d*ck size and know if you fall within the range of guys she is referring to. Lol

Mind you, what she refers to as 'tiny' In her own view, is any d*ck below 20cm which is approximately 7.9 inches.

Vera Sidika is a Kenyan model who is famous for her incredible body forms. She gained her popularity after she appeared in P-Units video ‘You Guy’ that was banned in some TV stations for explicit content.

Sidika is very active Instagram user, she has over 165,000 followers. The model is proud of her body and likes to post seminude photos to entertain her fans.

In a recent interview, she was asked whether she prefers big d*cks to smaller ones, and she had this to say:

"Truth is I can never marry a nigga with a tiny d*ck. I can manage it for a few months if we date but never settling down with a kibamia,” she began in the long rant.

“Tiny d*cks are a struggle for big booty women. On doggy style, the microscopic banana will just be hanging on ass cheeks instead of getting in. If it succeeds to get in, it keeps sliding off coz ass cheeks too big for it,” she continued.

Well, Vera is here again, speaking her mind. And for folks this pisses off, she has one for them: “Yes I said it. Comman beat me.”

10. Jason Statham is one of the biggest action heroes on the planet on the big screen. Apparently, he likes being a real life action hero as well. While filming "The Expendables 3", the brakes on the truck he was driving failed and the truck went straight into the Black Sea. Statham calmly exited the vehicle while it was under water and swam to the surface. That’s an action hero!

9. In the movie Now You See Me, actress Isla Fischer was supposed to be pretending to be drowning in a tank of water. Unfortunately for her, she really was drowning! The crew apparently just thought she was an extremely good actress. Luckily for her, she was able to free herself from her bonds in time to escape, just like a real magician!

8. Charlize Theron has been known for doing a lot of her own stunts throughout her career. During the filming of the movie Aeon- Flux , Theron had a really nasty fall that caused her to land on her neck. The crew had to stop production for 8 weeks! Doctors weren’t sure if Charlize would ever gain full mobility again. Luckily for her and all of her fans she made a full recovery.

7. Like Jackie Chan, Sylvester Stallone is known for doing his own stunts, even now that he is pushing 70. So back when he was filming Rambo: First Blood as a young man, his passion for stunts was even greater. He decided that he was going to perform a jump from a cliff to a tree, without safety gear. He did three takes before he was satisfied, but cracked his ribs terribly in the process.

6. Police Story is a Jackie Chan classic. As most people know, Jackie Chan does almost all of his own stunts. While filming Police Story, Chan cracked his seventh and eighth vertebrae and dislocated his pelvis (which was previously thought impossible) while jumping from a roof to a metal pole and sliding down it. Now that is some serious dedication.

5. Margaret Hamilton’s performance as the Wicked Witch of the West is an iconic performance. You won’t find many people who don’t know of it. However, during the filming of The Wizard of Oz , Margaret’s makeup had a chemical reaction with some of the special effects fireworks that were used. The reaction caused her to receive second and third degree burns on her hands and face.
