Starting a family is not something you should do simply because you feel like doing it or because the society see it as something you should do.

You should only start a family when you know you have the required tools (sticking with the financial aspect).

Imagine a couple who earns 100k combined monthly and then decide to start a family because they want to start in little ways. 3 kids along the line and with other responsibilities; how are they gonna cope with enrolling those kids in good schools, providing them with the necessary materials such that the kids can compete with their peers?

From all the comments I've read so far, you seem to make sense.. Marriage is not a man thing, its a man and woman, both must contribute in all ways to the future of the kids. I assure you a family that both of them makes 100k jointly will do better than a family where the man earns 250k and the woman contributes little or nothing
.. The ladies we have today are just so unproductive and do not prepare themselves to be a perfect "help meet"...

Why say I want a man who has a car, house,30 billion in his account?? Why not say, I want a man that we will have a car, have a mansion, have 30billion in our account? It should be "we" not just "He" alone
