Let me educate you are a bit. Let Saudi sponsor your Avenger the oil price won't rise up because, for some years now our oil production has dropped in Nigeria. For your info, the oil price won't rise for now till last quarter of this year because, Iran now increased it oil production and sells her oil very cheap. If Iran oil is cheaper and contain less sulfur compared to Saudi's oil. Do you think a buyer would go for Saudi's oil?

Hide your face in shame, if you follow my articles in nairaland you would know that I was pleading with your PMB to stop the bogus promises because Iran would have her sanction lifted and in turn mess oil market the more.... Oga the main problem of oil prices is the output which is in excess to the available demand.

Isis in Iraqi and Syria now in lybia makes the output to go on excess which in turn ruin the global price of the product....

Since you are well educated in that aspect.... Why did OPEC policy on reviving the price based on cutting output in production?

Politics / Re: Why We Won't Protest Against The Fuel Price Hike - PIC by princejayboss: 7:55pm On May 14, 2016
4Play:

There is an obvious flaw in your argument but to get to it, APC fans will have to admit something they have always mendaciously denied - that the size of the economy has grown substantially since 1999 such that foreign reserves of $30bn and oil prices of $40 are not sufficient to maintain our present standard of living.

In 1999, the minimum wage was about 550 to 800 Naira. At today's income levels, Nigerians consume far more (much of it imported) that foreign reserves of $30bn are now insufficient to maintain present consumption levels. This is also a major indictment of our PDP governments. If you wanted to know why GEJ's era failed to produce savings from the high oil prices, look no further than recurrent expenditure (the public sector wage bill and its attendant effect on aggregate consumption).

Wages should increase in line with productivity growth, but by more than tripling wages (the minimum wage went from N5000 to N18,000), it meant government needed oil prices to remain at +$100 p/b to pay workers. The big increase in wages meant that consumption increased and with that our import bill. Because these wage increases were not driven by productivity growth but by government fiat to gain cheap popularity, they were unsustainable once the government and the economy's main source of income and forex, oil, collapsed.

Where I differ from most is that I do not attribute blame for these policy mis-steps to just the political class. It's Nigerians' penchant for supporting populist and economically illiterate policies that puts us in these dire situations. Yar'Adua & GEJ increased public sector wages because such financially suicidal policy goes down well with Nigerians. When people today laugh at Osun, we should remember that its fiscal troubles are not because Aregbesola was extraordinarily corrupt, it's because he was trying to gain/maintain popularity by spending on infrastructure at a financially unsustainable rate. To illustrate how financial imprudence is popular with Nigerians, recall that APC's official policy according to Lai Mohammed when oil prices were high was that the excess crude account and other saving measures like the SWF ought to be abolished. You see, the political class are drawn from the ranks of Nigerians and as long as Nigerians support moronic policies, changing the ruling party won't make much of a difference in the long run.

You are dope..... This is just the problem

By blaming the present administration for the issues you listed and saying the government should have have handled the issues this or that way means we are facing issues that we shouldn't be facing, but we are because 16 years of PDP did not possition the country properly to deal with the challenges we are dealing with.

Did 16 years of PDP and looting and stealing $20 billion plus power money get us out of darkness? No

Did 16 years of PDP and wholesale and institutionalized corruption and incompetence deliver infrastructures to better our existence ? No.

Did 16 years of PDP and wholesale and wholesale and institutionalized corruption and incompetence improve our federal accounts with the funds they looted and shared? No.

Did 16 years of PDP and wholesale and institutionalized corruption and incompetence deliver1 single refinery to help us out of the ever present fuel shortages? No.

Did 16 years of PDP and wholesale and institutionalized corruption and incompetence maintain and keep running our 4 refineries to prevent shortages. No.

What did GEJ and his administration to his service chiefs who looted $15 billion while our men and women in uniform die on the battlefield? He promoted and gave them National awards.

We are still gwtting bombarded daily with new revelations about this and that billions looted and diverted here and their so what's your.point exactly.? That that rotten and decayed looting and stealing government did a great job and we are in this mess because of this less than a year administration.?

Nigerians did the right thing by getting rid of Jona and his looting and stealing gang because it stopped the national bleading, it stopped the daylight looting and stealing.

The office of the NSA is no longer looting and sharing our money.

Our funds is no longer funding dubious spiritual prayers or paying for Metuh style presidential assingments.

Our meager foreign reserve is ni longer for corrupt, pointless and silly activities like importing toothpicks and other rubhish.

Stealing is now coruption.

Looters for the 1st time are on trial and set to go to jail.

The 2nd Niger bridge is finally getting built with direct FG money on the table to fund it with after 16 years of PDP lies, gimmicks, deceptions, incompetence and bogus tolling arrangements.

Lagos Ibadan express is now getting full and final attention.

Lagos Abuja rail is on track.

Lagos calabar rail sytem and the largest public works project in Africa is set to commence with money and federal will on the table.

Our looted funds stashed abroad is heading back to Nigeria to serve put needs.

Boko Haram is no longer invisible to our galant troops.

Our image on the global stage is shining again.

Petrol shortages is about to be over forever because we consume 33.6m liters per day, but ordinary Dangote refinery will pump out 55.2 million liters per day with left over to export.

Of course we have challenges, but we've gained so much in less than a year and better days are ahead.

We know the problem with many of you, but fact remains that GEJ is gone for good, stealing is now corruption and we have major job creating projects, pooicies and programs coming up, our economy is geting repositioned to serve us better.

You are the most confused fellow I have seen, in the western world like here, you comment simply puts you in the part of mental evaluation.

16years PDP? And could do nothing.... Lol, while the present APC is made up of 60% PDP office holder, look its just a party PDP but the real individuals still have their same blood running through them, that same blood that gave them life when they were messing the nation up.... Now this same are the people you trust your future with.... Then you are a big f0ol.

One problem with our youth is that we allow sentiment to control our emotions, you made one application to a specific problem and got a failed results, yet you do it over and over again hoping to get a correct result while the application is wrack.

Last year, I was in Nigeria during election and I saw buhari holding an electronic train and making bogus promises that Nigeria will be like heavens, I laughed and told him to follow suite the policies in electricity sector and the train project that GEJ started, I made it open that Nigeria cannot have steady power supply at least in the next 12years..... The entire Nairaland came for my head, I gave them reasons for that as someone who knows more than buhari in that aspect.

Fast forward 12months later, the reality is here, GEJ was week and slow but he had better policies, I was with my family on a visit to former minister for power the day resigned just because of Dangote, while you are here praising dongote, you think its the right thing that he is monopolizing the nation.

Today, a lawyer is the minister for power.... Yet you praise buhari.... What happens to industrial physicist, elect engineers and so on and yet we expect 100% turn around in power sector.... What do Fashola know about power grid?

Lets stop all this nonsense and realize that PMB has nothing to offer, we have more educated and innovative individual than any other in Africa but we still allow the old men to control our future.

Forget the media stuff, I visit Nigeria every three months, I have been to the 2nd Niger bridge site and its not a hoax.... It's real, the problem is that our leaders never learn from foreign trips, they will see good things but they close their eyes to them

If we really want to see our dear nation move forward, we have to be sincere and push the old men out of the way..... If not Nigeria Will turn Venezuela in few months

Many don't believe the conspiracy against the Igbos. This is a very clear case. If they can do this for just a mere book launch, now imagine what's going on behind the scene with respect to commerce, business, transportation(airport, ports), industry, agriculture, finance, e.t.c. There is a well engineered plan in this country to literally straggle the Igbos to the point of asphyxiation and evidently death. The irony is the Igbos have endured these monstrosities for decades, and are even gladly willing to let go if they are allowed to be on their own, yet the perpetrators of this apparent evil continue to intensify their resolve without malice, wittingly determined, and yet wonder why the agitation for IPOB has reached a critical mass...a point of inevitability!

I 'm under no illusion that the book is set to expose a great deal on the series of deception routinely shoved down our throat by successive Nigerian governments. What's is even more appalling perhaps exceedingly sophomoric at its assault is that the Nigerian government religiously claim to champion One Nigeria, however shockingly Nigerian pupils, young men and women are never taught the fundamental history of this country...The Civil War, a war that pillaged a century-long wealth building block of the Igbos, and incinerated over 3 millions of them and neighboring clans. Yet there is no monument or stone to commemorate their lives in the interest of our so much cherished ONE NIGERIA. A One Nigeria built on the blood of 3 million people who gallantly fought to defend their fatherland and resource...the video below is incredibly telling! What one sees in the video below is a show of an uncanny bravery by the Igbos, Ibibios, Efik and neighboring clans to defend their land with their blood. I HAVE NEVER SEEN SUCH BRAVERY BEFORE!

I close with these quotes: When a man is willing to give his life for a cause, that cause is authentic and cannot be bought as seen in the video below! Nigeria has date with the truth...The Axe forgets but the Tree remembers!

Every Igbo, Ibibio, Efik must watch this video

Am so touched with your write up, it struck me so hard because on wednesday last week , i was returing from Canada, i was suppose to have a meeting in Mexico on thursday, upon my landing at the airport , my lawyer told me that my meeting has been cancelled , I asked why, she said its a public holiday for the remembrance of those who died in the war of puebla, she told me that she love to visit the monument and we drove down to this cool quiet location towards Santa Fe, a lot of people had flowers.... I went from one block to the other I saw names written on this wars.... I saw a child of around 11years old weeping heavily then I realized how they have regretted this war but in our own case in Nigeria we show hatred upon hatred .... The igbo tribe have not been treated cool, the nation was built upon their blood though I still blame us the igbos for all this nonsense..... I watched an interview of a northern Oligarch dated back to 1958..... I weeped.

I wonder anybody in the igbo race who can do half of what ojukwu did, he had the chance and the choice to enjoy his father's wealth who happens to be the richest man in Africa but he did took the choice of liberating his people..... But shame to all igbo senators, their flesh needs to be feed to animals.

Funny enough the youth were been robbed of the true history, while wrack history was feed to us.... Today our tradition has been infected that every young kid has the gut to put on a red Nze cap on every given occasion.... Until we stand up and Decide either to survive or to die without a fight.... That's what you get when a government acts before deliberating on a matter, in arm struggle or hostile region you don't force a mini god that commit lesser evil but can control bigger evil cos when you do so the big evil will step in and np one to control it.... It's all about power struggle.... Tomopolo was a mini god and he was able to keep things going while committing lesser evil, PMB out of his lack of understanding of 21st century arms deal wanted tompolo's head, he created vacuum for power tuzzle among those who fear him.

This is what I have learnt in my years of service to various world defense ministries.... Don't fight lesser evil.... Don't fight Gadaffi, leave Asad in power, why push hussen out of power, the result have been opposite of perfection.....

Tompolo through the amnesty program is today a legit internationally known security consultant. It's not in his overall best interest to be associated with the Avengers who are currently making their bones just as tompolo prior the amnesty deal.

I see some interests desperately trying to rope Tompolo into this mess to negate all the legit international success tompolo made under the last regime.

One strategic mistake buhari advisors did was brazenly going after tompolo and creating a huge power vacuum which the avengers are milking perfectly.

If there be any diplomacy in buhari, he should as a matter of urgency make contact with government Tompolo cos that gentleman is key in solving this delta issue.

You got a working brain than most here who don't understand arms struggle....
