@chux, no problem. I am also a newbie in plantain farming. what i have is 4months experience. There are lots of plantain thread in nairaland and others. Try to read them up. There are many established plantain farmers in the agricsection. You can ask any question you have on agric section and get answers .Others will also learn from the answers. No one is an island of knowledge. But the only thing i will tell u for now is that e recommended spacing for plantain is 2m by 2.5m . Dont listen to anyone telling you to go for less. It is to sell more suckers. (am not refering to baba moringa here ooo). .
If the spacing is more than that, it is also good but u will spend more resources maintaing the farm.

Plz note that my current farm is small. This is to practise and get used to it and the challenges b4 going full scale.

On weed.control, after buying my sprayer, i went to the ppl dt sell herbicides for advice. i wanted to by cyberforce or paraeforce but they adviced me to buy force up cos i had lemon grass in d farm. They said paraeforce is quick action but the result doest last. Force up takes over a week to start working . it dries off the weeds but d weeds will still be in the farm, dried. I couldnot apply manure on the plants cos the weeds were still there , though dried. I ended up using manual labour in the farm.

i saw this on friday around upper iweka in Anambra. The two young boys produce local ovens. I was told its used to dry meat. What can dry meat should be able to dry fish.
It uses gas as fuel.one is 45k, the other is 55k
