Nothing do you. They just need a means of identification from you, to identify you in case you’re shortlisted for the CBT test, physical screening, etc,.

For those of us that made the final list, and can read in-between the lines, let us thank God for this our CG again.
As in, the man really stepped on some “high-positioned” toes, in order to make this past recruitment as free and fair, as possible.

See the way they’re just mentioning new officers this, plenty places to fill that, revenue collection one-tin-one-tin, trade and exercise sumtin-sumtin... undecided

Dem no even sabi wetin to talk again sef. This last recruitment pained them ehn, they’re now trying to find ways to strong-arm him.

I know(and he knows too) that he’ll eventually have to succumb to pressure in this new recruitment, which was part of the reason Customs only released half of the numbers they initially advertised. But at least, he made sure that the first one was majorly based on merit.

I just scrolled through the options, and I think you should apply under Secretarial Studies.

When you get to Course of Study, fill:

BSc/BEd/(Whatever format your degree certificate starts with) Linguistics & Secretarial Studies.

But leave it as BSc/BEd/(Whatever format your degree certificate starts with) Linguistics in your CV.

Note that this is just to enable you pass the initial screening, which like someone already said above, is automated. So that you can be shortlisted for the CBT Test. After which, if you’re lucky to also be shortlisted for the physical screening, it’s what’s on your CV that you’ll be judged on.

Which simply means that, a human being(your examiner for the physical screening), knows that someone like you that read linguistics, can also do secretarial work. But the computer no dey reason like that. Once the computer doesn’t “see” secretarial studies in that column for Course of Study, it’s automatic disqualification.

So just do it like I wrote, and you’ll be fine. Good luck.

I would advise you to apply for the cadre that your LGA has not yet been chosen. If it has been chosen in both cadres, then apply for level 08. You’ll have nothing to lose by then.

Don’t worry, the site is real. If you go back to the beginning of this thread, you’ll see that people were concerned then too, that the recruitment portal might not be real. Then, when the reports of those that applied successfully started to filter in, they were reassured.

I think NCS opens new portals for their recruitments , because it will only be open for a short period of time. Which was what happened in 2019 too.
Once the application time is up, the portal will no longer go through.

Our training will commence next month(December), and it’s going to be for six months.

For level 8, it’s definitely going to be in Ikeja, and not Kano, like some people were speculating.

PS: It is just known that the training is going to be in December, but no sure date yet. Cos like we all know, our CG can code information well-well, till he’s ready to release it.

hmm.. less than 200 level 08 showed up for documentation today, and it wasn't that fast as I left there past 4 and close to 100 were still waiting on queue for the final phase.

If 100 or more 08 show up tomorrow, that will definitely affect the number of 06 to be documented if 08 is given preference ahead of 06 unless the officers decide to stay till night which I doubt because the comptroller that said they'll wait till night today initially asked them to let only 12 more in when 38 have completed the whole process before she changed he mind.

Not sure what might happen tomorrow, just doing my best to let you know what happened there

Priority will always be given to whatever level is highest at any given time, regardless of which day.

Which simply means that if level 8 goes tomorrow, Wednesday, Thursday, whatever day, he/she will be attended to.

But if level 3 decides to go tomorrow or Wednesday, they’ll still tell them to come back tomorrow.

The main reason is because of the large number of people that showed up today. I’m sure that from 2 weeks upwards, any level can show up on any day, and they’ll be attended to. Cos the people remaining would have reduced by then.

You must bring original certificate o. They said that anyone with statement of results should go back home, cos they’ve had enough time since 2019, to collect the original certificates.
