Pls house what is the fair price for WAPCO |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Princkez: 11:01am On Jul 04, 2020 |
Tvegas: The best price depends on your target, i think the first question should be what is your target.
I target stocks that can pay me between 12% to 18% dividend per annum, so I can continue to buy zenith till around N20 to meet my yield target.
If capital appreciation is your goal, study a one year high and low of the stock, study its fundamental , study its 5 years trend. Then you can pick stocks that are closer to the year low. For example if you target 50% return in 1 year, you may pick GTB at N21 and plan to sell at N32. It may get there ,it may not. thanks |

Mcy56: About UACN unbundling: This post is for the benefits of those who doesnt understand what the argument was about.
My understanding: 1. UACN is splitting into three after unbundling - UACN, UPDC and UPDC-Reit. 2. Each entity to deal directly with their shareholders after unbundling. 3. UACN controls 93.9% of stake in UPDC and around 61% in UPDC-REIT. 4. UACN shares remains. 5. 93.9% stake of UACN in UPDC to be pro-rated and shared in ratio 1:6 to UACN shareholders. 6. Over 61% UACN stake in REIT to be pro-rated and shared in ratio 2:1 to UACN shareholders. 7. At the end of unbundling, 2 company's shares in addition to UACN (making 3 stocks) will appear in your portfolio.....if you have the 3 already, the units in UPDC and REIT will increase.
@Onegentleguy, Uchetoba and talk2me2 have done all the talking and calculations, you may refer to their posts on the subject.
Invariably, this unbundling will end up paying off..... to the patient ones especially. We pray everything goes according to the plan.
After unbundling, UACN would have separated from its loss making arm while UPDC would strive to restrategise to deliver value to shareholders.....this started with their successful conclusion of the right issue. Individual is now free to make his/her own choice. I'm only scared of one thing.....THE QUALIFICATION DATE |

yMcy56: Investors are trying to buy support generally.....not willing to bid higher. More reason you can see huge bids at support across board. If it goes down a bit, they shift the bids backwards again....... uncertainty situation kind of. I believe their q2 will be good ...Let's see as it goes, just buying in tranches |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Princkez: 12:29pm On Jun 19, 2020 |
yMcy56: My other account is still banned. Had to switch to this to answer you.
Since you're looking at long term, then I'll say buy in tranches at your convenient junctions. Fbnh is still trading at range.
If you see the table, the bulk of the bids are at 5 or below......sell pressure may send it to that region while buy pressure may not allow the price get there. Mr. Market, outlook of things (positive or negative), approaching end of Q2, economic situations, unforeseen circumstance will play major roles here. The direction (either up or down) is still not clear......this is my opinion. thanks dear |
