Answer: 1Month Question: Is she working or self-employed? Answer: Self-employed Question: Any Dependant? Answer: Yes, the dependant name was given which shows in her bank statement sending to him monthly. Question: She is married? Answer: Yes but her husband is late now(Widow) which also submitted the Death Cert. Please Guru in the house what does this call mean? Positive or Negative? |
Hello house, I bring good news. My mum and brother just got their visit visa valid for 6 months . My mum is retired and self-employed, this will be her 2nd time visiting the UK. While my brother has 2 years work experience in IT but no travel history and first time applying for any visa. I put a budget of 3K for 2-weeks stay for both of them (fully sponsored by me). Timeline (Standard): TLS Lagos VI 20th June: Submitted online application (document self-upload) 26th June: Biometrics 18th July: Call from UKVI (asked if I was inviting anyone and how long they are staying, if I am fully sponsoring and how much, my brother's job title and company he works for, my immigration status in the UK and my job title...I think that was all) 19th July: Received email stating 'Application Concluded' 23rd July: Passport ready for pickup Picked up passports same day with both visas approved These are the documents we submitted with their application: Mine: 1. Invitation Letter for both of them (electronic copy with a scanned picture of my signature) 2. Copy of BRP and my passport data page 3. Tenancy agreement (scanned copy with signatures) 4. 6-months payslip (e-copy) 5. 6-months bank statement salary account (downloaded from my online account with no bank stamp) Mum: 1. Cover letter - highlighted my mum's sources of income, she collects pension and is also self-employed. I also highlighted how much she has currently in her savings) 2. Copy of previous UK visa 3. Company CAC certificate 4. Pension Letter 5. C of O of residential house 6. Land C of O 7. 6-months bank statement (the one that her pension and income from her business comes into) 8. Excel table explaining deposits into her account, with 4 columns - Date, Amount, Sender and Purpose of transfer (we highlighted any inflow greater than 50K) Brother: 1. Cover letter - highlighted his job, how much he earns and how much he currently has in his savings) 2. HR Letter of introduction 3. Work Offer Letter 4. Work ID card 5. 6-months payslips 6. 6-months bank statement (both salary and savings accounts) 7. Excel table explaining deposits into his account, with 4 columns - Date, Amount, Sender and Purpose of transfer(we highlighted any inflow greater than 50K) *I was a bit worried about the fact that we didn't include tenancy agreement for my brother because he shares a flat with his colleague and his name is not on the agreement but thank God that it didn't seem to matter. We didn't include tax cards either. Thanks to everyone who contributes here, especially to giselle237 & MadameW for taking the time to answer my questions. God bless you all! Hi Please can I have the template of the cover letter for your Mum and excel tablet explaining deposit. I will really appreciate your response. 1 Like |

readynow:Yes I've done my NI interview and GP registration, i was able to do the NI interview because i printed the email between me and the home office and my hubby also wrote introduction letter,I could not do my provisional licence because of my BRP. I received my BRP today, I was given 2 years instead of two and half years. How much did they charge you for NHS subcharge? |

readynow:Yeah I used the gov.uk/ BRP. I told them to deliver it to my home address, I got an email from BRP Department on the 15th of Nov saying my BRP will be delivered 3-5 working days. Hopefully I will get it before Friday by Gods grace. My hubby was able to my Sons own from the post office. But you can still go ahead with other stuffs like NI interview, GP registration etc. |
Hello everyone Thanks to all the gurus in the house, I really appreciate all support and encouragement. God bless you all. Now quick Lesson for anyone still waiting. I and my son was granted on the 20th of Sep 2018. We got our passport on 19th of Oct, just 24hrs for visa to expire, so we travelled on the 20th of Oct 2018 been the last day on the visa, luckily we were able to get Virgin Atlantic which was just 6hrs flight. Please and please, I will advice anyone to buy your ticket yourself from Nigeria. When I we got the airport, we were told they need to see the debit card that was used to buy the ticket, told them my husband bought the ticket from UK, they said we will not be allow to travel without seeing the card, I called my husband and he called virgin ticket in London heathrow and they asked him to bring the card to heathrow, he quickly drove down because we've got 1:30mins left, getting the airport he was told he needs to buy another ticket, by then , we've got 30mins left, so end up buying another ticket and they said previous money will be refunded. Thank God I and son are in uk now. 2 Likes |
Hi All! My spouse has been asked to bring his passport and that of our baby to the office in Lagos for the visa, after the success of his administrative review. Please does he have to take the baby to Lagos as well or he goes alone with both passports. because we don’t live in Lagos. @Bestbian and anyone please help answer.[/quote That you guys take your passports to the application centre or British embassy? If it is application centre, no need taking your baby with you. There UKVIS should send you the list of what to take to the application centre, if is it application. |
