Politics › Re: Hardship: Sanwo-olu Slashes Transport Fare In Lagos, Food To Be Sold At Discount by Pristine664: 8:40pm On Feb 22, 2024 |
Faiththatworks: God bless Governor Sanwo-olu for listening to some of our advice on Nairaland. Some days ago I made a passionate plea to the governor to re-introduce the subsidy on the BRT buses, and today he announced a return of the subsidy on the fare. I have always said forums like Nairaland should be the go to website for Government officials to assuage the temperature of the masses. We must always keeping giving Government our own ideas and opinions on how to navigate this very very difficult times in Nigeria. I applaud every Nigerian who still believes it will get better in This country,I must reiterate I take no offense at those who have made up their mind that things will never get better. It's of no use trying to convince people like that to make any useful suggestions at this very trying period, better to leave them to gloat at their whatever victory they believe they have as the country goes through this hardship. As for the food market,I hope the governor is able to implement the idea of people not purchasing more than 25000 naira worth of food at the market, there are many many devilish people who will seek to buy up all the produce and resell at their stores. I will implore the governor make sure the food is branded in a way that the logo of the state is displayed prominently on the package and anyone caught selling it outside the market should be arrested. I'm sure this hard phase of our National life will come to an end very soon. Still selling Land in Ibeju-lekki close to Dangote Refinery, check my signature for more details. God bless Nigeria........... God bless you. |

Lol speculation is the reason why BTC is what it is today. If more persons believe that a particular asset will go up, chances are it will continue to go up because "people of means" will continue to buy the dip.
No end in sight for the free fall of Naira. |

sweetjohn: I once said this when Tinubu newly stole the presidency. I said 1. people will be dieing on the street in SW and north out of hunger 2. A time will come when people will look for all those who participated in enthroning this criminal into the presidency to kill. These people are, INEC CHAIRMAN, the presidential petition and supreme court judges, MC Oluomo and his gang, Asari Tokunbo, Wale Soyinka and other actors who helped this criminal into Aso Rock. 3. People will beg the SE to beg PO to be the president. Nigeria savior is in SE. God has already design it that the SE will liberate Nigeria from Corruption, hardship insecurity and make their economy grow. So all this run around will never and can never save Nigeria. Nigeria survival is in the hand of SEasterner. This is fact. And that day will never come. 😂 |

aybabz101: If a yoruba man writes this, he is tribalistic....but if you guys do, u are all saints...
The the 65% of yorubas that voted for Tinubu are tribalistc but the 90% of Igbos that voted peter obi are saints......
But you guys should be happy with what is happening now? i thought u want out of the country and these happenings is a great precursor to ensure that without even lifting a hand....
I dont think on tribal ends but what you guys are peddling is very annoying... the lies and the extent you guys can go just to ridicule the yoruba race is alarming!....even the above video shows that this is not SW but still.....
Recent happening has shown me that you lots are the most tribalistic among all the tribes in the country.....what you know how to do is to accuse others but you guys are worse than the worst of others.. Na una get time to reason their blackmail about who is tribalistic and who is not. Everything is competition to our SE brethren and that is why the election result pained them so much. I will rather support Tinubu against their fraudulent Messiah if another election is held today who wan die make e die. |

McLizbae: You are sharp. Politics is a game of personal interests. Tinubu seem to be careful not to give too much power to Ganduje. He is already the party chair, he will be alot more powerful if he controls/pocket Kano too. I belive Tinubu run the same power control on Wike. You are smart |

jabor4Naija: If this man wasn't declared winner, the riot that would have happened in Kano would take years to restore. Like what sowore said they gave him his victory cos they feared of the consequences of what might happen If Supreme Court had rule in favour of Atiku or Obi, you people would have been saying your "all eyes on the judiciary" posters was what did the magic. |

nnachukz: He had no choice, the country was already highly tensed that anything could have triggered a terrible protest. That judgement was a trap. He just avoided an impending uncontrollable wahala for his government. APC didn't help matters by sharing celebration asobi even before the judgement making it clear that there is a predetermined judgement coming up. Lol nothing, absolutely nothing will happen if Supreme Court rule against NNPP Those that understand basic politics know that the decision of the supreme court is more political than all the nonsense narratives you guys are peddling. |

ogashman: I remember when I was a kid I admired adults and adult life because then things were better. I always fantasize about it and could not wait to get to that stage and enjoy my life. Then with a job of 50k u re a big boy. Those earning 100k were really balling.
Now, finally getting to that stage, buhari and tinubu inflated the prices of goods and services by over 500% in just 8 years.
Even a 150k salary, u still would not be able to sustain yourself for a month.
God will punish people who brought those two calamities and are supporting their impoverishing policies. The same curse and punishment goes to you if you ever supported any rogue in Nigerian elections. |

MikeofKd: This period is the worst period be a Nigerian youth ,the government has completely crippled and humiliated us. The economy is very bad and even worse, things are getting out of hand every blessed day.
My problem with Nigerians are our spirit of adaptation , I can promise you dat if fuel sells for 5k per litre people would still buy after complaining heavily , cause thats all we do ,complain bitterly but everyone would at d end of the day find ways to adapt.
For how long are we going to continue this way for christ sake? Almost all the youth are into one fraudulent activity or the other these days and the most decent looking ladies have a very troublesome amount of body count these days as well.
How I wish we can all in our frustrations pay Tinubu a visit at Aso rock , atleast make we protest heavily reach him side cus im fed up honestly.
I'm a bachelor but im still managing like a student , bills upon bills and worst you dont even get to enjoy for these services you pay for at all.
You cant even find an understanding girlfriend anymore in this country. Omo make I stop here before I go craze , Nigeria matter fit make man craze . Well said bro. All current Nigerian politicians are terrible but one of the major reasons why we can't have a good protest is that some persons think a particular rogue from their region must be worshipped while we kill others so those of us that don't like the present administration decided to be mad with them. |

When will you guys understand that there will always be a reaction for every action? If you insult Yorubas online Yorubas will insult you online. If Fulani attack Yorubas physically Yorubas will attack them physically. Don't be surprised that this story about Ondo State is made up or exaggerated to justify the actions the Yorubas are planning to take against the Fulanis. |

reddingtonblack: If you read news well enough you would have realize by now, No tribe as criticized Tinubu more than the yorubas Even osun they claim he is home town didnt give him the required votes unlike OBi & Atiku
Tinubu recent visit to lagos for the holidays, it was heard on camera "ebi pa'waa" thats a yoruba language, So where is the tribalism
Tinubu lost Lagos and Osun, whereas Peter Obi won East and yet you feel the yorubas are the tribalist here Their hate against Yorubas has very little to do with politics. We would have been experiencing similar situation if Tinubu had lost. Go and check 2011 post election threads on NL. |

PeachtreeReside: It is obvious this lady does not go to the market to buy else she would not put this video out.
There are still Market women of all tribes in all Markets in Lagos.
Maybe she meant to say her patronisers of her trade are yet to come back....😉
We make it seem as if Lagos collapses during Christmas break which is a lie.
Lagos ke I was at Oyingbo 3days before Christmas and every produce marked present with their various sellers of all tribes. That lady was being sarcastic. She said she has meeting with Tinubu but she's hungry so Igbos should please return to Lagos so she can feed, mentioning their petty trades in the process. Make them leave sarcasm for that babe. |

chiagozien: Oga yoruba hate igbos.
No dey deceive yourself. I honestly believe the hate is justified. You can't constantly insult and show deep hate against someone and want love in return. Life doesn't work that way. Yorubas will be foolish to keep acting too nice. |

franchasofficia: I am sorry to say this; only when an Igbo man chosen by majority of Igbos becomes the President of Nigeria that these Fulani and Mulsim Jihadists madness will stop in Nigeria.
Fulanis and Muslim Jihadists know this and that is why they hate Igbos so much because only Igbos can cure their madness with greater madness.
When Ahmadu Bello thought he could bring Jihard in Nigeria and trample on Christians in the 1960s, young Igbo soldiers and some others taught him a greater lesson he will never forget wherever he is.
Fulani herdsmen terrorists and their Muslim Jihadists in Nigeria need the Israeli treatment of Hamas for them to allow peace reign in Nigeria.
Bola Tinubu and his Yoruba Service Chiefs doesn't have the guts and capacity to tame Fulani terrorists in Nigeria, things will only get worst, so Middlebelt people need to come together and form an ethnic militant to go after Fulani herdsmen terrorists wherever they are and not wait until they attack.
Attack them first let them continually be on defensive mood and live in fear then they will let peace reign Hahahaha the same Igbo leaders that couldn't tame insecurity in their tiny land to the extent of killing someone like Dr. Akunyili This boy should be a stand up comedian.
