Politics / Re: Ipob Doing The Same Mistake Like Ojukwu did back then.... by privaldo: 11:49pm On Feb 09, 2021 |
darkwan: While I with you on the issue of their "noise making" cum propaganda, I will like to respond to some of your points from a geo-political point of view. Ghana is relatively stable and would not like to get themselves into any war right now, because such will bring a divide among them and alter the peace and stability they enjoy at the moment. They are more focused on growing their economy than anything else at the moment. Benin has a relatively small armed forces, so their impact won't be felt. Besides they are still under an indirect French control which will limit the activities they can carry out in the event of a war, because France is one of core nations calling for Nigeria's breakup due Nigeria trying to hinder their activities in their past West African colonies. A united and stronger Nigeria will bring the end to France interference in West Africa. The Deltans may align themselves to Nigeria, we have seen it play out during the civil war. The only exception to this however will the be Aniomas, who will be at a crossroad on who to support. The war may not bring the end to the South East alone as you may think but total anarchy in Nigeria, like in the case of Libya. A security report estimates that over 75 armed groups exist in Nigeria, this is two times more than the amount in Libya, and Mali combined. They will struggle to lord over the regions they find themselves in, and an over stretched Nigerian military will be able to little about this. Even if assistance from the West is called then we would have a Libya crisis because if France and Italy (who will be militarily aiding the Vatican's support for the South East) is supporting the South East, Britain and Turkey will tilt towards Nigeria. The U.S won't know who aide between France, and Britain which will make them act as observers. China will fight on Nigeria's side to make sure their investments survive and are paid back, this will make more Western pick sides to support. An already preying Iran will see the war as a perfect payback for the damages caused to Shiites and support the South East, and this will anger nations like Israel, UAE, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia, all these nations will support Nigeria except Israel that will be at the crossroads due to Iran's interference and their past support for the , so they will either act as an observer or covertly support one of the parties involved. To gain Irans support all the South East needs to do is to promise a safe landing for the Shiites in the South East. Russia will support Nigeria, as they have a long history backing them but on another side angle they may back the South East due to Turkey's support for Nigeria, they have been fighting proxy wars with Turkey for sometime now, you can Syria and the Ukraine deal with Turkey. Also, note that African countries facing threats of secession will support Nigeria to make a strong statement. South Africa will support the South East as they will look to destabilise Nigeria further to be the sole black power house in the world. I forgot about Algeria while talking of North African/Middle East countries. If Morocco supports Nigeria, Algeria will automatically support the South East because both countries have a Turkey/Russia relationship but an even stronger one bound by deep hatred. This is just an example of how Nigeria will be in the event of a war, Libya may even tell a better story. 3 Likes |

Golan007: Pele, I understand your pain trying to mask the crime committed by your kinsmen under the "Nigerians" tag, and failing at it. On a regular day, the Yorubas call the Edos and some part of Delta their cousins, unless your are a fair-weather cousin. Aside Isaiah Effiong, the rest are Omoluabis and there is nothing that can change the fact. |
Politics / Re: Why Niger Deltans Do Not Want To Be A Part Of Biafra -- Goodluck Jonathan by privaldo: 10:46pm On Feb 09, 2021 |
Abdul05: As funny as it sounds, the Niger Delta is closer to the South East than many of you imagine. They have the longest political/romantic relationship in the country. When Jonathan was president, most key members of his cabinet comprised of Igbos from his Chief of Army Staff to his Finance Minister. The South East and the Niger Delta are the only regions where the political leaders maintain strong and open relationships even though they are of different political parties. The South East and the Niger Delta are considered a single voting block due to their long standing political alliance by many political analyst. When Nnamdi started his clamours for an independent Biafra, Niger Deltan war lords like Asari were among the first to lend him their support. You may like it or not, but I think the SE and the Niger Delta are far closer than many of you realise. I don't see the need though to lump them into a sovereign Biafra due to the large of number of tribes within, they can both exist as allies like they have always been. Also, so many of you ranting about the Niger Delta hating the South East or vice verse are either Ignorant or children with little or no knowledge of political/socio-economical alliances. The good though is you consist of a very minute percent, and are also irrelevant to the political/socio-economic affairs within the both regions. Cc culwizthedeltan 7 Likes 1 Share |

HopeVictor: The bolded is trash, justice can be by a country with a functional judiciary of which Nigeria isn't one of such. Stop waiting on God or any other mystical being to serve justice. I have nothing to do with the protest, so make use of your senses when quoting me so you won't regret it. 138 Likes 13 Shares |

thebosstrevor1: You don't get me, do you? I meant if you open an account outside Nigeria maybe another West African country, and carry out your transaction seamlessly will the government stop you? For context, you would still maintain your Nigerian account just that you would transfer to your foreign account when you want to make a crypto transaction. 1 Like |

Some stakeholders are concerned that the banking public can decide to move their primary banking to a place like Benin Republic with the down side that Nigerian banks will lose capital base, lose credibility and they will still not hold anyone from foreign fiat transactions. I support this move, this will make the CBN understand that nobody has monopoly to madness. Please don't quote me and start advising me on how this will affect the economy. 9 Likes |
