McCarthy era
In 1950, Lehmer was one of 31 University of California faculty fired after refusing to sign a loyalty oath, a policy initiated by the Board of Regents of the State of California in 1950 during the Communist scare personified by Senator Joseph McCarthy. Lehmer took a post as Director of the National Bureau of Standards' Institute for Numerical Analysis (INA), working with the Standards Western Automatic Computer (SWAC). On October 17, 1952, the State Supreme Court proclaimed the oath unconstitutional, and Lehmer returned to Berkeley shortly thereafter.

The university management continues to spread this false news about this man even months after the man left the campus for them. But for what purpose? To what end?
This man has won many accolades, awards, prizes and contracts for the university and yet they failed to acknowledge and reward him for it.
If we continue to treat our scientists and intellectuals in this part of the world this way, then how do we move forward scientifically and economically.
Dr Boyo was in Physics Department, Faculty of Science, but quite a number of students Ce from the Faculty of Engineering to do their SIWES(IT) in his world-class laboratory.
It will be very difficult for Nigeria to advance scientifically and technologically if we continue to so treat our scientists and technologists.

What I'll say here is that you guys should just endeavour to open and read intently the book Dr Boyo himself posted its link here. And then more of the controversies and ills in the falsehood the Unilag authority has been trying hard to spread about this brilliant and very hardworking Nigerian scientist will be cleared.
As far as I'm concerned the Department of Physics, the Faculty of Science and the University of Lagos management are just being stu*pidly envious and antagonistic of this genius Nigerian scientist.

Any school approved by NUC will take you. I have a friend with third class zoology applied for PGD nutrition and dietitics and was given. she is almost tru with her masters now. Unaab will take u, futminna, Nsuk, name it, third class zoology is eligible for pgd biology related courses almost every where.

many universities will take u for pgd. Zoology is a wide field, so pick ur area of interest and chose a nice school. I had similar background got msc Environmental mgt and protection, currently prospective PhD student. proudly Unaabite. so cheer up, pursue ur dreams.

But, did you really get the reason for the question? It's the Third Class BSc and not the Zoology itself. The point is that which university will accept a Third Class in Zoology for a PGD in any of the areas of Zoology or any other Biology-related coutse?
