This is a fantastic thread! Anyway, let me start by commending mathematical analysis of pro- subsidy removal and the views of anti- subsidy removal. NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT One thing that the government needs to provide answer is, why cant it prosecute these cartels? If EFCC and ICPC could wage war against inflation of contracts and the likes, why can't they investigate the excessess of these greedy importers. Does it mean some group are above the law in this nation? So government wants massess to suffer the effect of her failures due to some greedy, self-centred idiots called cartel/elites. How does government intend to alleviate the effect of this subsidy removal on masses( people who does not even have means of sharing ideas like us). Now, on subsidy removal: What is the guarrantee that aftermath removal, we will not remain even in worse economic woes? Mind you, as the government is planning removal, those cartels are doing permutation and combination on how to milk the nation dry. Even, who are these cartels? hmm, Politicians and government officials- simple. What has government done with loots recovered from some past leaders and what about the 1990 oil windfall that was left untreated. Well, I throw my weight behind subsidy removal. But the accrue money should be share with some part added to workers salary, some percentage to subsidise food and other parts for infrastructure developments. And, thereafter investigate the excessess of the so called cartels( they are humans and not spirits). |

I felt sorry for the woman! one of my closest relation did the same to his wife.Though, it happened before marrying his wife. But this case, the wife is so troublesome and won't like to see the husband relations. At the end, when she knew, she blamed herself. Truly speaking, in such situation, pressure from family do happen. Especially when the wife is not accommodating. Notwithstanding, the man should not have bowed to such pressure but whatabout the wife characters? You have forgotten that even some women bring in bastards to their homes. I will advice the wife to forgive the husband, and ask him what he really wants. She should allow him to speak his mind and thereafter she can plan what to do next. |
Very Very Good! in fact, excellent. It spanks my head when I see it on my beaudtiful wife whenever she undresses! |
What a topic! Quite a number of contributors here are one-sided. Really, you women are just one-sided. Alot of women think marriage is just having children, living a good life but never take in cognisance of excellent communication and careful studies of their husband. Definitely, the man in question has been having affair possibly before the 1st or 2nd child. Nothing stops a woman from asking her husband about sexual satisfaction or the way he wants it! Secondly, though, women are weaker vessels but at the same time needs to guide their utterances. Some wives even through their statements push their husbands to the wall. I hope she is not the nagging type too. Nevertheless, I strongly condenm the man act. Maybe he too has wrong orientation about marriage.I tell my wife the way I want it and she satisfies me. We discuss anything at our closet and even check ourselves physically. Anyway, after you deliver safely in Jesus name, have a thorough chat with him. Ask deep intimacy questions you never asked before. Preach to him how his affair may endanger your life, the children and the future of the family. Don't try to start showing you want to be alone with you children but instead show more love to him. He is your husband, you his physical weakness and strength, work on it. It is well with you. |
@ Poster, do as the Holy Spirit leads you! |
faakay:Let be sincere to ourselves, it will be obvious in the church that this brother is out of job if really he has not be doing anything since then (2009- till date). So, what is complicated about it. Except this brother in problem is very secretive and maybe, Even at that, No matter what, there still few people who can do something together on his behalf without making noise of it. I have done so many of such and I thank God for HIS blessings!. |
@Poster, Helping that brother does not stop you from paying your tithe. According to Malachi 3:10, it is commanded. Then out of the remainder, as you are led by the spirit, do something for him. Different people will always have different opinion about this matter. But if you are a true child of GOD with spirit of discernment, it will be clear to you on what to do. You can as well raise his issue among men's fellowship in your church or inform few brothers like you. I strongly believe they will do something. And for those willing to know the end of tithes paid, politically or "out of common sense" you can ask but is not always adviseable. But if you pay your tithe/ofvow out of sincerity of your heart( without any question of end result but with scriptural belief), you will be rewarded. I give you a real life instance. Before I relocated, there is this brother in my church(usher) who is also among people collating offerings/tithes. This brother used to steal tithes/offerings that he got married, bought a car behold, when trouble starts, his car engine got knocked, wife having miscarriages that people were even raising prayer points on his behalf. Revelation came that he has to confess his sins and repent. Meanwhile out all the monies stolen, there is one 100k paid by someone who prayed for fruit of the womb, promotion and prosperity. The man that paid his vow/tithe is enjoying wealth with his two children in a beautiful house. while the usher is languishing in agony. He is still in the problem up till now. I pray that the LORD have mercy for him. Nothing is hidden in the sight of GOD! So, my brother, pay your tithe, and help him as you are led in the spirit. And see what the LORD will do in your life! |
What advice would you give this my friend with offer of 1m naira per month job or full scholarship from masters to PhD level? |
This is the best thread on Nairaland. It reminds me so many things. Nigeria has gone far. I think we should just remember our roots and come together. Hausa,Ibo and Yoruba we are ONE. Most people engaging in this evil acts, I mean the youth have no knowledge of the history. With this thread, I believe most guys born before this period will have change of mind and will henceforth promote the unity of this loving country called Nigeria. Thanks and kudos to the contributors of these beautiful pics. With these pics, I can narrate vividly the history of this country to my children. And, if I lay hand on one of my 1970s pics, I will gladly post it too. Cheers. |
Pls send price and pics of ix35 to johnson19100@yahoo.com. Very much interested! |
If we remember, Some armunitions were imported into this country prior election. I believe those guys involve will have a clue of this mess. Also, the Boko Haram stuff must have been hijacked by some unsrupulous politicians. let read between the lines Boko Haram history 2002: Founded 2009: Hundreds killed when Maiduguri police stations stormed 2009: Boko Haram leader Mohammed Yusuf captured by army, handed to police, later found dead Sept: 2010: Freed hundreds of prisoners from Maiduguri jail December 2010: Bombed Jos, killing 80 people and blamed for New Year's Eve attack on Abuja barracks 2010-2011: Dozens killed in Maiduguri shootings May 2011: Bombed several states after president's inauguration June 2011: Police HQ bombed June 2011: 25 people killed in attack on bar Why did they storm in 2009? it has political undertone. Some selfish faceless politicians within Borno are involved. They were using the real Boko Haram people Then, 2010 they started using bombs, Why using bomb during/after Jonathan inauguration. It is simply that it has been hijacked by some past northerner national leaders. These ones are now very few real Boko Haram members with High number of paid and brain washed muslims Even for them to mention that there members are in government/military/police all agencies. It means some of our well-known past northerns leaders are involve. And it confirms the below; These ones are now very few real Boko Haram members with High number of paid and brain washed muslims please guys read between the lines. |
Thank God they are caught. Their so many of them in the banking industry today. They have all your information and act dubiously on them. It is advisable not to keep huge amount in banks these days. If you have millions, invest them and leave just something to keep you going in the account. For company account, always do quick checks regularly. |
I weep for Africa. So many crazy crooks and thieves in the helms of affairs. Mubarak refusing to yield to people desire, Gbabo holding tight to power as if it is his birthright. Malawi lawmakers bans public farting (crazy), Nigerian lawmakers earning undisclosed salaries(people suffering). Just name the president, all are doing something to enrich themselves. |
Outrightly irrelevant ! Nothing for them to do. If you find out, they will be like their Nigerian counterparts allocating billions for themselves and forgeting their calls. Africans, we have a long way to go! |
Mubarak just finished addressing the nation. He will not step down now until this year election. People are clamouring for his immediate exit. May God save us from selfish African leaders! |
The presidential candidate of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), General Muhamadu Buhari, may have started enjoying underground support from the Northern Political Leaders Forum (NPLF) headed by Mallam Adamu Ciroma, at a high level for promotion of his presidential aspiration, Sunday Tribune can authoritatively report. The reported deep rapport between Buhari and the NPLF leaders has been the reason Ciroma and others have been refraining from making public statements of late, most especially since the consensus option they had prepared as a joker for the return of power to the North proved unworkable. The consensus candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, had lost the PDP presidential primary to President Goodluck Jonathan some few weeks ago, whereas, the outcome of the primary which reportedly jolted the northern elders also gingered them into action to design another option. Some members of CPC in separate chats with Sunday Tribune revealed that Ciroma had inputs in the emergence of some governorship and senatorial candidates for CPC, just as other members of the forum are said to be making useful contributions to the progress of the party in the North. Although Buhari and the NPLF leaders were yet to sit on a round table to iron out some political issues to be agreed on before the April general election, indications are rife that such a meeting would take place, most likely after INEC had released the names of candidates for different elective positions in Nigeria. Those who spoke on the new development told Sunday Tribune that it was the northern elders who suggested that Buhari should not foreclosed the option of re-opening negotiations with the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) so that the two parties will work out a formula for taking over power in April. Although the northern consensus candidate, Atiku, is currently out of Nigeria on self imposed convalescence, he is said to have been kept abreast of the moves by the northern elders and the prospect of meeting Buhari at the nick of time ahead of the April polls. A key member of the CPC, Mr Osita Okechukwu, in a chat confirmed the unfolding political scenarios, stating that the CPC’s rapport with the northern leaders was expected on the basis that the North never towed with its resolve to regain the office of president in April. Meanwhile, the CPC is also not leaving any stone unturned in wooing as many leaders as possible from the South West in support of the presidential aspiration of General Buhari as the party has returned to the drawing board to design a programme to this effect. Party members informed Sunday Tribune that the plan by CPC to make in-road into the South West is pegged along a possible understanding it may eventually strike with the ACN, and on the other hand the level of goodwill that Buhari’s running mate, Pastor Tunde Bakare could muster in the geo-political zone.
