CareerRe: Access Bank: The Highest Paying Bank In Nigeria? by profade1(m): 5:38pm On May 12, 2007
Well, a friend told me that the new pay structure is yet to be implemented and a hefty percentage is tied to performance of which one can never get a 100%.

and the stress level is terrible.

Blake has this habit of seriously disappointing when you don't expect it. We all know he's good , so what could the problem be?

But at least there are some juicy pairings coming up.

I atually like Seun. Like someone said his posts are refreshing and he does not mind going against the crowd.( even if I don't always agree with him)

But he tends to be abrupt in his posts sometimes as if life is either black or white. seun, please note that there are so many shades of gray in between ok?

But I guess you are a work in progress as eveidenced by you starting this thread.

Who goes out? Hmmm, let's see.

Logic says Eric.

Reason: Timi and Omawumi were very good ( second songs).

Temitayo and Jerrilyn have a voting mafia cartel behind them ( for now).

But when did logic ever apply to West African Idols?

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Will This Unexpected Bank Job Help My IT Career? by profade1(m): 7:03am On Apr 26, 2007
Look, just take the job. I know that oceanic bank pays well and you can easily make contacts to move on in life later on.

I know several people that have done that.

And the pay is good in the bank.

I should know. I am talking from experience. grin

BusinessRe: Where Have The Coins Gone? by profade1(m): 8:29pm On Apr 22, 2007
Banks have a lot of the stuff. Just walk in and ask them to change for you. Some banks are even trying to force people to collect them.

ComputersRe: What's Wrong With Starcomms Internet? by profade1(m): 12:50pm On Apr 22, 2007
Buddie,

Don't worry it's not peculiar to your link only. Sometime last November/December I was on a site chesshere.com playing chess when suddenly access was denied. Since then I have not been able to get in. I called their helplines and even went through 2 people I know who work there but was just given the run around. Eventually I was told they blocked access to some sites from their end even though they still deny it officially.

I guess thats how they speak our language.

Anyway if you find a solution to your problem, do let me know.
RomanceRe: My Boyfriend Has Hired A Private Detective To Investigate Me! by profade1(m): 1:31pm On Apr 18, 2007
First I would like to know if the guy is a Nigerian, even though it does not really affect my reply.

1. He might just be trying  to follow the adage: Attack is the best form of defence. From what I have observed about life, people that are suspicious of others ( excessively) fall into two categories: very sick ( mentally) or guilty of same.

2. Obviously, there is no trust on his part. Do you really want to get into marriage with such a person. You are not even married, and this is happening, I wonder what will happen when you guys are married; you will cease to exist.

My advice: Dump him.

You deserve better.

lawyerchap,

Nice to have you back.
Music/RadioRe: West African Idols: Season 1 (2007) by profade1(m): 6:56am On Apr 17, 2007
Idols is turning into a farce as far as I am concerned. For instance , the show is taped on a friday but the impression is given that it's live on sunday, so I am told. If so, then probably the eviction is not on monday.

If the above is true then how do we know that our votes really count?

As someone said, not to be a Jerrilyn basher but the fact still remains that Uche's performance in my opinion was better than Jerrilyn's. Her provocative outfit and mechanical booty- shaking- wanna- be not withstanding. And the girl can pretend!

At this rate who gets sent off next? Jodie, Timi, Omawumi or Eric?

Perhaps Jerrilyn's advantage is that she is the only non-nigerian left, but for me it's beginning to resemble Nigeria's political landscape.

I work in a bank. Operations. Guess you could say middle management. The pay is good but I am beginning to find it boring and motonous and it's starting to swallow up my life( taking too much time).

But for how long? I mean after a while we have to reward talent, or else the whole thing will become a joke. If she were the best then I wouldn't mind her winning.

Anyway let's see what happens sunday/monday.
Music/RadioRe: West African Idols: Season 1 (2007) by profade1(m): 7:20am On Apr 12, 2007
Don't forget Eric, he seemed to lack substance initially but somehow he's gaining a fan base especially among the ladies.

Watch him carefully when he performs he tends to appeal to them with smiles and gazes and by trying to make some sort of contact. ! And it's working. And the other girl who shakes, shivers and gyrates a lot on stage. Her voice never did wow me, but she seems to be getting better.

That said. Jerrilyn needs to go. I don't like her expression when she's not singing, she appeals to people's emotions by having this hangdog expression on her face, like a seriously maltreated househelp.

SportsRe: Tennis Is Interesting Again! by profade1(m): 7:26am On Apr 04, 2007
Hi viee,

As the article rightly pointed out no athlete will ever admit knowingly taking steroids. But come what may, things are really getting interesting.

I doubt if Federer will be so dominant this year, though he will still end up as number one. Was it just me or were there tears in his eyes after he lost to Canas at miami?

Poor guy, his aura of invincibility is cracking. I still like him anyway and hope he does well. I have a feeling Sharapova will need psychological counselling to function well for the rest of the season; all thanks to Serena.
