Femsyn: NOUN does not owe it as a duty to give hard copy study material. I repeat, NOUN is not mandated to give hard copy materials. If u've got some, lucky u! You are expected to download study materials from the website. Follow @NOUNlibrary on twitter for official responses to ur questions and stop relying on students, like Ferdimako for uninformed answers
This is a student/student forum and not staff or management/student. Any question that is asked by a student needs answer from a fellow student like Ferdimako. I'll prefer you leave us alone. Was it not the officials like you that told us to come and collect materials for registered courses. sigh.

Kazrem: Good morning pals, please I registered for my courses this morning and after selecting the courses that i want and clicked on add courses, the next page that popped up didn't have where to click on "Register Courses".
I guess u don't need to click on another button called "Register Courses". You will only see all the registered courses listed under Registered Courses in your portal.

Obinoscopy: Hi guys,

Happy Sunday.

I noticed that there are several groups within NOUN that have threads, namely:

Thread for NOUN Law Students

Thread for NOUN MBA Students

Thread for NOUN Abuja Study Centre

This is a good development. I also wish to recommend that we create more threads for groups that have no thread. Such group includes:

Thread for NOUN Mathematics Student

Thread for NOUN Computer Students

Thread for NOUN Criminology Students

etc

Each NOUNite who's group doesn't have a thread can create one. After this is done, we can recommend the threads for frontpage to get more members. I believe this will help us as we get ready to begin our research/studies/TMA discussions on our various courses.

This particular thread will be for general discussions and enquiries while the other sub-threads will be solely for academic purposes. So guys what do you say?
Do you have ilearn account?

Okponee: Hallo pals! Pls kindly help me out on the following issues:
1. if Someone gets a PGD from NOUN, can he use it to do Master's degree course in any conventional University.

2. PGDE takes 3 semesters because of Project and teaching practice. Is it possible for one to register some second semester courses during 1st semester so that he can take the Project as one of the courses in 2nd term, in order to avoid 3rd term.

3. If I must do the Project and Teaching practice during 3rd term, will I still be required to pay any fees for that term?
Where did you get the 3 semesters for PGD information from? Noun use 2 semesters and no separate semester for project.
EducationRe: National Open University Of Nigeria (NOUN) Students by professorgome: 4:03pm On Jul 10, 2014
gambudu: They said i will spend roughly 98k for pgd and have spent 130k at the moment for both semester, and i know am still going to spend more.chaiiii this noun surely knows how to take peoples money
Is that so?
Did you calculate every spending details? Like printing, internet subscription, organized lectures, transportation etc.

Timijo: Is American English allowed in our schools? Or do we speak American English officially? Can you use I wanna, lemme, gonna while writing an essay in Nigeria? The truth is that American English is not allowed in Nigerian schools. What we use is British English, and that is why textbooks, newspapers, magazines, course books and any other books are all written with British English. We are also encouraged to speak Standard British English. If you listen to some of our local newscasters and movies stars, you will find out that they speak standard British English.
Thanks.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
EducationRe: National Open University Of Nigeria (NOUN) Students by professorgome: 11:18am On Jul 08, 2014
ferdimako: American English allows 'advice' to be used as a verb. So it is correct under non-british scenes. Another is 'practice' and others.
Thanks for your observation.

can above 30 and 2.2 still apply?
EducationRe: National Open University Of Nigeria (NOUN) Students by professorgome: 1:32pm On Jul 07, 2014
@Ferdimako and @Greenified: You are both correct. Some people entered school with experience or 'know how's' about the course they are pursuing. Others do not have any experience or 'know how's'. The former can learn without a facilitator but the later cannot. I think ferdimako fell into the first category.
