Jandor would have won but emergence of peter obi in labour party and lagos landlord that force himself on nigeria jeopardize his chance in governorship election and if it was Jandor that was the candidate of labour party it would have been difficult for apc to use Chinedu strategy that they use against gbadebo to brainwash the illiterate voters in lagos against Jandor
As if is not APC that sent him there but they never saw labour party coming. Jandor is APC and APC is Jandor.

That's what they want you to believe. How many twins are born in the north compared to south, how many out of wedlock children do they have and how many healthy children do they have? Large land is not large population. South of is bigger than Nigeria, Chad and Nigeria but what is their population. There are more human beings in south than in the north. Thanks

PoliticsRe: Sanwo-olu Picks PVC, Charges Residents To Get Voter Cards by Progressiveby: 9:18am On Dec 14, 2022

Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has urged residents of voting age to pick up their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), from the various Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) offices in their localities.

Sanwo-Olu made the appeal on Monday when he stopped by at INEC office in the Sura area of Lagos Island Local Government Area to pick up his reprinted PVC.

He was accompanied by the Deputy Governor, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, and some of his cabinet members.

The governor, who is seeking re-election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), a few months ago redesignated his location and updated his details.

He had moved his polling unit from Ikoyi to Lagos Island, ahead of next year’s governorship election.

Sanwo-Olu reminded the people that it was only when they collect their PVCs that they would be able to exercise their franchise during the next year’s general elections.

”Today, INEC officially started the collection of PVCs and because I did a redesignation of my address of where I was and where I am now, I had to move my polling unit.

”I am here to demonstrate to all our citizens that I have complied. I have come to pick up my reprinted voter’s card and I want to enjoin everyone to use this opportunity to go out and pick their PVCs.

”I have collected mine and you can see that I am at the INEC office here, and it is peaceful. Within two minutes they sorted it out and I signed to collect my own. So my advice is for all of us that still have our PVCs uncollected to please come out and do the rightful thing.

”It is only with this that you can participate in next year’s election. I wish all of us the very best and as we go into this exercise, I hope that it is something that is worth it very seriously as another civic responsibility,” he said.

Sanwo-Olu said that he was confident that the residents would do the right thing by re-electing him during the governorship poll, based on his administration’s performance during the first term.

”We will win because we believe Lagosians will do the right thing. And it is also because we believe that we have earned it; we have worked very hard and will continue to do that.

”We will continue to do our very best to ensure that we earn the trust and the commitment of our people,” he said.

2elliot:
Thank you! You have written like the true son of your father and as a wise man from the east. I fully support your idea that the two regions be shared between the we the ijaws and the Igbos. That to me, is the easiest way to finding peace as long as this matter is concerned. But again, I expect that the concerned people in the two regions have the sole right to decide whose side they would go. But still, that must come after the real facts have been established, whether they are of the ijaws or Igbos, for the sake of history and posterity.
As an Ijaw man myself from one of the key clans, I find it awkward hating the Igbos; in fact, you guys have been our big brothers watching over us as far as this Nigeria project is concerned. I can only imagine the situation we would have found ourselves if you the igbos didn't exist in the equation. We would have been forgotten identities, subdued by both the monstrous religious and tribal beasts roaming the entire country. Even if no one would admit, I will. Even on the level of political affiliations, or to culture, we have more in common, than any other group of persons or association. And even till tomorrow, this relationship will remain static.
Sadly, the lack of commonsense and hatred pervading the ijaw people towards the Igbos are out of immaturity and as a result of brainwashing. But I do pray, that one day we can really form the needed allegiance to confronted our more common enemies.
God bless you my brother, igbos are not after anybody's land or state but we are after the unit of brothers. Ijaw and igbo are brothers.

That’s exactly my point. ASUU strikes are more complicated than limiting it to salary increment. That ASUU refused to call off the strike despite the increment is a good indication that Peter Obi lacked the basic understanding of what the problems were all about.

At national level, ASUU demands even gets more complicated. If Obi becomes president, I see ASUU going on strike for over a year. We must do everything to dodge this Obi bullet.
The most important thing is that he was able to resolve the issue permanently that is why if any other states ASUU goes on strike Anambra state will never go on strike again. That is leadership resolving issues. Go and verify Anambra student are in class now while the students in your school are at home. OBIdient

PoliticsRe: Tinubu: Until We Have A Good Credit System, We Can't Conquer Corruption by Progressiveby: 5:39pm On Jul 02, 2022
trutharena:
He claimed one of the reason for big corruption in the civil service is that the system is rigged against integrity because how do we expect a civil servant/Private workers earning like 100k to afford a house/car that is 8million by paying cash at once.

He said we can’t have a system that allow corruption while on the other hand have EFCC to curb the corruption.

He advised the best way to curb this is to set up mortgage system such that the people can pay in installment with FG working alongside the lenders to see that people can have access to such loans. With this, a civil servant don’t need to steal to afford cars and etc.

In Lagos, this is in practice with Lagos HOMS. The FG just need to back the banks with some security that can help them mitigate against defaulters that may arise.

To the Obituary people that invaded this thread, you’ve been asking for Tinubu stance on things like this, now he spoke brilliantly, you’re still bitter.

Whether you hit your head on stone or not, Tinubu will be your president in 2023.

Trust me, if Tinubu gets elected, he will build a long lasting mortgage structure in Nigeria that will outlive his government. This man understand how to build structure and he is a goal getter.
Why can't him go to Buhari and advice him to create such facility if truly he has the idea?

Yamiriflathead:
Igbos Should go back to the Southeast and collect their PVCs
yorubas are not struggling to collect PVCs in the southeast, neither are hausas. Yorubas have given these ibos too much leverage in the Southwest. If I were the governor, any body with a igbotic-like name won't be allowed to REGISTER for PVCs in Southwest. Since the days of awolowo it has always been ibos trespassing into yoruba political hemisphere and not the reverse. Yorubas need to have SENSE when it Koms to political mobilisations. Ahmadu bello once said, the ibos have no regard for their hosts and are always trying to dominate their hosts and rub it on their faces and its true. Hausas don't give ibos as much privilege as they are given in Yorubaland and ibos give hausas or yorubas zero political privileges in the Southeast, so henceforth it's to your tenth oh Israel.
To hell with diplomacy and liberalism
The tribe that got their name from Hausa is here making noise. Try any nonsense this time around and see things by yourself. ANU, when it comes to collecting of tax now you will not advise us to go to south east and pay the tax. Ewu gambia
