Gombs:Great answer! We are all under one grace, so far we are sharing this same victorious message of our lord Jesus(grace) |
Peritus:1. No, I don't. Why? Because the law of tithing has been abolished. It is an act(a sin) of ADULTERY to go back and marry a dead body(moses- law) where I have been identified as "married to Jesus(grace)" who is still alive. Rom 7: 1 Or do you not know, brothers - for I am speaking to those who know the law—that the law is binding on a person only as long as he lives? 2 For a married woman is BOUND BY LAW to her husband WHILE HE LIVES, but if her husband DIES she is RELEASED from the law of marriage. 3 Accordingly, she will be called an ADULTERSS if she lives with another man while her husband is alive. But if her husband DIES, she is FREE FROM THAT LAW, and if she marries another man she is NOT an adulteress. 4 LIKEWISE, my brothers, you also have DIED TO THE LAW through the body of Christ, so that you may belong to ANOTHER, to him who has been raised from the dead, in order that we may bear fruit for God. This topic of tithing is seen as a suicidal teaching to be taught with an UNBIASED mind. Now, God does not bless his people because they tithe, he blesses because HE WILLS. And to prove that he wills, he sent Jesus who came and abolished ALL the enmity that will make God not to bless his people. That's why in the OT, you see CONDITIONAL BLESSINGS; "IF thou shall hearken.....THEN, I will bless", but in the NT, you will ONLY see UNCONDITIONAL blessings; "I WILL...." . But, why the unconditional NT blessings? Because ALL enmity(sin) between man and God has been ABOLISHED together with the laws. Eph 2:15;"Having ABOLISHED in his flesh THE ENMITY(sin), even the LAW OF COMMANDMENTS CONTAINED IN ORDINANCES; for to make in himself of twain one new man, SO MAKING PEACE; If God will bless me because I keep the abolished law of tithing, then it means that I deserve his blessings. And that is false! NO ONE DESERVES IT! 2. I think that @Jiggaz has done a good Job on this question. Paul was talking about justification before God while james was talking about Justification before God. |
jiggaz:Today, you just shock me bro. I thought that I was the only one that has the revelation of what paul and james was saying there. Because I've been studying and meditating on that verse. I read that verse where paul and james talked about the case. So I was asking the lord what really happened there, because God is not allah, lol, who two opposite word can come out of his mouth. Just around the day the guy asked that question that the lord removed the veil of misunderstanding from my mind. As for the grace revolution, God is heavily using men, and it is SERIOUSLY growing in china and India. I see many chinese getting saved! Stay in grace! |
jiggaz:JIGGAZ THE GREAT!!!!!!!!!! YOU GOT THE REVELATION!!!!!!!!! Exactly my point! Paul was talking about righteousness before God, while James was talking about righteousness before men. In fact, before this week ends, God will give you a miracle that will sound like a lie to people. IJN, AMEEN! Stay in grace! |
Peritus:Thanks for asking. 1. If you read Exodus, deuteronomy very well, you will discover that the laws that were given was 10commandments + 630 do and don't(laws). There are many of them that are not just in order, but were never corrected in that matt 5. For example; among the 630 laws that Jesus corrected, you will see that there are laws that are against wearing clothes of different sorts and colours, eating fishes with scale, building of staircase, using balcony to build houses, the same law is against women wearing what pertaineth to man, plowing with ass and ox together, is also against allowing bastards to enter into the congregation of the lord. Some of them are just terrible to live by. That's why jesus abolished the whole law, because it couldn't justify anyone. Remember what james said, that if you keep all but fail one, you have failed the WHOLE law. Paul said in Gal 3:12, that law is NOT of faith(law is not of the spirit), and he went on to say that whosoever who wants the law should live by it COMPLETELY. And if you live by it but couldn't keep it all(10commandments and 630 laws), a curse is pronounced on you. God forbid! Read Gal 3:10 with many version to understand it in all ramifications. If Jesus was giving us a new law to keep, then he would have corrected all those laws I showed you up there. Because, maybe you don't support women who wear trouser, but you wear clothes of diverse sorts and colours, you eat fishes with scale and you see no sin in allowing a bastard into the house of God. That makes no difference between you and women who wear trouser, because both of you break the same law! That's why so many law preachers are just so ignorant of what they preach, because they are GUILTY of the same law they are preaching. However, to reconcile what Jesus said there, you have to settle it in you mind that Jesus was NOT giving us a new law to live by, which is even tougher than the former, whereas he said that his yoke is not heavy but light. If not so, then we have to make some correction in the 10 and 630 laws that was given, in regard to what Jesus in and live by ALL. It will be very terrible! Because, it can NEVER still justify you. That's why we are no more justify by law keeping but by his blood. Jesus said that, so as to correct moses, and as well frustrate the jews, who are too blinded with the law and to turn their eyes to the need of Jesus dying for their sins. That's why he made it tougher for them and even told them that except their righteousness exceed that of the scribes and the pharisee they cannot enter the kingdom. This is an indirect fight on their right living(righteousness). The only righteousness that can exceed that of the pharisee is the righteousness of Jesus himself, which is imputed on any man that BELIEVES in him, with no works. And as well when you look at the verse 18 of that chapter you will see that it was TEMPORAL. Matt 5:18;"I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not even the smallest detail of God's law will disappear UNTIL IT'S PURPOSE IS ACCOMPLISHED." This is a verse so many pastors have misinterpreted so much. That verse simply means that at the point the purpose of God's law is accomplished(fulfilled), then the law can be abolished. Very simple! What was the purpose of God's law? To justify us and make us righteous before God. But still couldn't help! So has it been accomplished? Yes, of course! That's the reason of our faith in him and not in law keeping. The purpose of God's law was accomplished at the cross! Now therefore, we are not justified or made righteous by works of the law(right living), we are made righteous by his blood, that's his righteousness. Rom 5:1;"Therefore, being justified by faith(in his blood) we have peace with God through our lord Jesus christ" We don't have peace with God because we live rightly or keep the law, rather we have peace with God because we have been eternally justified by faith through his blood. Rom 5:9;"Much more then, being now JUSTIFED BY HIS BLOOD, we shall be saved from wrath through him" We shall not be saved from wrath because of our works of the law(right living), but because we have been justified by his blood. THE FUNDAMENTAL: our salvation is NOT based on law or personal effort, but based on the perfect finished work of christ and it is all about GRACE. 2. In the second question, you sounded like a person who doesn't know what is being meant by grace. You DON'T claim grace, you BELIEVE in grace. Grace is NOT a concept you claim, grace is a PERSON you BELIEVE IN. Grace is Jesus christ and everything Jesus stands for. John 1;"in the beginning was the word, and the word was with God and the word was God" verse 14;"And the word was made flesh, and dwelt among us,(and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the father,) FULL OF GRACE AND TRUTH." You CANNOT separate jesus from grace! I have talked about the case of matt 5. But even if we trespass against those laws at times, but still believe in him who JUSTIFIES the UNGODLY, we are still justified by faith. Rom 4:5;"But to him that worketh not, but BELIEVES on him that JUSTIFIES the UNGODLY, HIS FAITH IS COUNTED FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS" Keeping God's law does not give us right standing with God, instead it gives us right standing with men and makes us look righteous BEFORE MEN and not before God, because God knows that you don't keep ALL. And if you rely on it, to look righteous before God you will be accursed. If you expect God to accept you because of the things you do rightly, he has many reasons to reject you because in that your self righteous state you are still looking imperfect. Phil 3:9;"and to have a relationship with him. This means that I DIDN'T receive God’s approval by obeying HIS laws. THE OPPOSITE IS TRUE! I have God’s approval THROUGH FAITH IN CHRIST. This is the approval that comes from God and is BASIS OF FAITH" (GW) Phil 3:9 "And that I may [ACTUALLY] be found and known as in Him, not having any [self- achieved] righteousness that can be called my own, based on my obedience to the Law’s demands (ritualistic uprightness and supposed right standing with God thus acquired), but possessing that [genuine righteousness] which comes THROUGH FAITH IN CHRIST(the Anointed One), the [TRULY] right standing with God, which comes from God by [saving] FAITH." (AMPC) ALL WE NEED IS A SAVIOUR, GRACE!!! You asked about love. But the truth is that it is not everytime that a believer shows love. And that's natural! What about peter who cut off someone's ear when jesus was about to be arrested? Of course, you know that the kind of anger that can make someone to cut off someone's ear, can as well make the person to MURDER. Was that a sign of love? what about the same peter who was eating with the gentiles together with Paul and when he saw the jews coming he withdrew(hypocrisy) from the gentiles so that he won't be identified with the gentiles. Was that a sign of love? Absolutely not! Does that mean that he doesn't know God because he didn't show the love? You know, that was a sin of hypocrisy, does it mean that he is of the devil according to john who said that whosoever commit is of the devil? No! At that point he was still justified. Our justification is dependent on christ by faith, ALONE. The messages of John is the easiest message to misunderstand in the bible, because john sounded as if he was talking about sinlessness, and that is contradictory to when he said that if we say we have no sin in us, we make God a lair. But if you have the finish work of christ as the foundation of your faith, you will not misunderstand it. I will talk about it in a separate post, together with our questions you asked. |
MizyB:Hey, I am sorry for delaying. I just saw it this night. Yeah, you really asked a good question! Lol You asked; how grace can actually STOP you from sinning. Grace means an unmerited favour of God. It is not worked for, rather, it is a GIFT. First of all, the reason why the grace of God was offered to us was because no one has the ability to live a sinless perfect life. NO ONE! Grace was given because we are naturally, morally POWERLESS to stop sinning and as well condemned eternally. No matter, how any preacher who preaches that the heretic gospel of sinless perfection looks like, let it be settled in your heart that he is guilty of what he is preaching. Even moses, samson, david, paul and even peter, who blew it a BIG time, they were NOT sinless perfect. Sinless perfection(works) is NOT a requirement for eternal life, rather FAITH IN GOD'S RIGHTEOUSNESS is the ONLY requirement for eternal life. Nothing else! I know that you have heard people who have told you to live a sinless perfect life to go to heaven. This is the greatest LIE of all times against the gospel of Jesus. But, the gospel truth BEFORE GOD AND MAN, is that those preachers were NEVER, is NOT and can NEVER be sinless perfect. Don't be deceived! The gospel of Jesus(grace) is not a call to duty, is not a call to change the wrong and always deceive yourself as mr right, is not a call to do this and keep away from this. It is a GOOD NEWS to BELIEVE that Jesus never suffered at the cross in vain. A GOOD NEWS TO BELIEVE that Jesus has suffered the punishment of your eternal sins so that you can have PEACE with God. A GOOD NEWS, that Jesus died and went to hell for 3days for your eternal sins, so that NOT EVEN SIN can take you there. Only if you can believe the work he did in your place. It was you that suppose to die and go to hell but he did it WILLINGLY for you. If you are expecting sinless perfection by works, then you will not find that, but will only end up condemning yourself, living in a deadly SIN-CONSCIOUSNESS, uncertainty of your salvation, constant prayer of forgiveness and worst of all FEAR OF HELL. Oh, you even said that you are being compelled about hell. You see that? Now, before I go in details what grace is all about, I will like to give you a picture of what it looks like. And that boils down to our sinful nature and what happened at the cross. When we were left to die and take the PUNISHMENT for our Past, present and future sins(ETERNAL SINS), which is eternal death in hell, Jesus decided to come. And guess what he did? I imagine him quoting rom 6:23; that the WAGES of our past, present and future sin is death but the FREE GIFT of God is ETERNAL LIFE. He now said; "okay I am going to pay for ALL the wages of your ETERNAL SINS, so that you can have access to the FREE GIFT of God, not withstanding sin". He said; "though you MERIT to REAP eternal death, but this time around, the law of sow and reap is not going to function again, because all the bad you have sowed, sowing and will ever sow, is what I am about to reap, so that I can give you eternal righteousness, eternal justification, eternal redemption, eternal holiness. Finally, he took our death and WILFULLY laid it on himself, and gave us his life. This is what is called GRACE. How dare you say you merit such love? Of course, you wouldn't say that, because it is really an UNMERITED favour. Rom 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were YET SINNERS(lairs, murderers, fornicators, idolators) , christ died for us. The punishment of the eternal sins of a world without end, which christ suffered can NEVER be of any effect to people who think that they can HYPOCRITICALLY STRIVE TO LOOK sinless perfect before men, rather christ died for us, HELPLESS and POWERLESS SINNERS, when we were not even trying to look righteous. We were absolute sinners, when he died! Now, why are we sinners? We are NOT sinners because we commit sin. We are sinners because of what adam DID TO US ETERNALLY. Very terrible! Before you EVER committed your first sin, you were ALREADY a sinner. YOU WERE ETERNALLY BORN A SINNER, BECAUSE IT WAS IMPUTED ON YOU WITH NO WORKS FOR THE SAKE OF WHAT ADAM DID. Why, but I have not sinned at that time? Yes, that's exactly the problem. Rom 5:12;" Therefore, just as sin came into the world THROUGH ONE MAN, and death through sin, and so death spread to ALL men because ALL SINNED". That is to say, that sin entered through one man, Adam, and it was imputed unto all men WITH NO WORKS. When we were sinners, we were so WRETCHED, GUILTY, CAPTIVATED, and SO POWERLESS to deliver ourselves. Imagine that we had a salvation bank account and in our account we were not having zero rather, we were having "minus", OWING. Now, in that position, we were fornicators, criminals, lairs, idolators and so on, who COULDN'T help themselves. God through his son, Jesus, decided to save humanity, by taking our ETERNAL PUNISHMENT. You know that when someone is being kidnapped and is about to be liberated, usually a RANSOM must be rendered before the kidnapped can be liberated. We were kidnapped by the devil, and for God to save us, he has to offer a RANSOM. And the ransom must be a man because it was a man, adam, that lost everything, who will take on himself the ETERNAL PUNISHMENT of others. At this point, God searched among the people but couldn't find one without sin, who could carry out this mission, because, we ALL were in the same bondage, nobody had the power to deliver himself let alone delivering others. So God decided to come by himself in the likeness of man, in the person of Jesus. But how sure are we that Jesus is really God? Isaiah 9:6"For to us a Child shall be born, to us a Son shall be given; And the government shall be upon His shoulder, And His name shall be called Wonderful Counsellor, MIGHTY GOD, EVERLATING FATHER, Prince of Peace." Jesus didn't pay for our sins, he, himself, IS THE PAYMENT FOR SIN. Glory!!!! When he came, he saw that ALL MEN were already condemned to death because of sin, he decided to take our place. At times, when preachers tell people about the message of the cross, they normally stop at the last paragraph. But, what happen there was not JUST what I wrote there. To make you understand grace more, I have to break down the death of jesus here. Note: the wages of sin is not ordinary death, rather death in hell(spiritual) We were NOT forgiven because we were sorry for our sinful nature, or because we decided to be TRYING to live well or because of our prayer of forgiveness, these things does NOT WASH your sins away. We were forgiven because somebody decided to take the punishment of our eternal sins. If a criminal is tried in a law court, proven guilty and condemned to death sentence. No matter how the criminal cries, begs, ask for forgiveness, it doesn't change the case. One thing that is certain is that JUSTICE must be done to the CRIME committed. The ONLY solution that can make the criminal to be forgiven, is that somebody WILLINGLY offered himself, to take up the punishment of the criminal, by being sentenced to death IN PLACE of the criminal. That's what happened in our case, but Jesus shed his blood for the forgiveness of our sins. Stay in grace |
DoctorAlien:That's same thing with what I said; that sin is a trespass against some set of rules and standard. Transgression is ONLY considered when there is law. Now, I have given verses to prove that Jesus abolished the law. That's why paul said that sin is not imputed on a man when there is no law! Rom 5:13;"13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is NOT IMPUTED when there is no law." Anybody who believes in jesus, his eternal sins shall be forgiven and justified by the death of christ. His sins shall God remember no more because it is not be imputed on him. |
macof:Thank you, bye and have a nice day! |
OLAADEGBU:he had to go to hell, so as to finish payment for sin. I have said before that the payment for sin is eternal death in hell. But being that Jesus is a God, a supreme eternal being, he had to take it all compressed in 3 days. If not that, then he didn't pay for sin! |
OLAADEGBU:Yes, of course. That's the real payment(punishment) for sin. It was an eternal death COMPRESSED in 3days. That's the reason why we receive eternal salvation, eternal justification, eternal redemption, eternal righteousness from what happened in just 3days. |
Jeromejnr:Why will you have time, when moses has filled your day? Please, enlighten me! I stepped out of point? Pointing me back to the point is not a crime, so do it! |
Gombs:The spiritual death, he was talking about means death in hell, that is, Jesus going to hell. The consequences of our sins is not physical death, it is eternal death in hell(spiritual). And if you say that Jesus never went to hell, putting aside the fact that the bible proves that he really went to hell, then it means that Jesus NEVER paid for the sins of mankind. There has to be a legal justice on the punishment of the we, sinners. And for that to take place he has to do it on behalf of EVERY MAN. The eternal sins of a world without end was laid upon him, proven guilty, and judged to be condemned to death. The judgement of sin is eternal death in hell. Though, the death lasted for 3days, but the effect of his death, was ETERNITY COMPRESSED IN TIME(3 days) "Eternity TIME PAST, eternity before him; ALL COMPRESSED IN TIME(3days)." |
MizyB:Yea sis, it might not look good that way, but I have to do it for some reasons. If you have argued with some atheists on NL, you will know that this thread will be turned into something else, if I had started arguing with him on the reasons to believe in God. That would really derail this thread, and I wouldn't like that, because I am here on a specific mission, which is to let people understand the gospel of grace the more in a clearer way. If you don't like it, I am sorry. But, that's the best thing for now. Thank you. |
See how funny you sound! If poverty is God's plan for you, then why are your parents doing business to afford every vital thing you need? Are they doing business to escape the mind of God for them? If Poverty comes from God, why don't you stop going to your business centre, why not sit down at home?. Or are you trying to run away from God's plan(poverty) for your life? That's how one foolish christian, just like the foolish galatians who paul wrote a letter to in Gal 3, said that God can use sickness to punish a believer, whose eternal sins has been punished on christ. What a heresy! The first time a heard that, I said whaaat? I used a question to question out his foolishness out of him! And of course, you may possibly be having such foolish understanding if you really can write an OP like this. I asked him(you can also answer), if God is really using SYPHILIS(as an example) to punish you, why not STAY AT HOME AND ENJOY THE PUNISHMENT? WHY WOULD YOU EVER GO TO THE HOSPITAL TO TAKE MEDICATIONS WITH THE INTENTION OF STOPPING GOD'S PUNISHMENT ON YOU? ARE YOU NOW FIGHTING GOD BY TRYING TO ESCAPE HIS PUNISHMENT? Oh ye foolish christians(galatians of the modern days),who has bewitched you! |
. |
johnydon22:Wise fool! I pray that you will be very wise like this on your death bed! At least, when you are back you will tell me what you saw. Hope you will see something at the beyond? Or is it only dark you will see? Or you don't know what beyond will look like? |
lordoseji:You don't have to disturb yourself about that! Just believe, that Jesus blood was wasted miserably at the cross so that yours don't have to be wasted miserably. JUST BELIEVE! It is not about 3days fasting, it is all about Jesus and what he did at the cross. JUST BELIEVE AND YOU SHALL BE SAVED! |
pennytration:Okay, bye! Have a nice day! |
I have open a new thread for any question on grace. https://www.nairaland.com/3077636/grace-preacher-answer-all-questions |
Ask me any question that makes you doubt the gospel of grace, abolishment of the law, righteousness, holiness and ANYTHING pertaining to christian life. I am here to help you, No insult please! PLEASE, ATHEISTS STAY AWAY! |
Joagbaje:You are now talking about conscience as a moral principle of the law! Please, quote any scripture to back it up! Don't use fake imaginations to judge the bible! What ever you make call law; all the bible says is that it is abolished. And I gave you biblical proofs, so if you can't give biblical proofs, then your points may be flawed. You have any problem with that? Remember paul said, if he the law didn't say thou shall not covet, he wouldn't have know what lust is. And he went on to say that in the law lies the knowledge and power of sin. Read it in Rom 7 Sin means trespass over a set of rules and standard. |
Splinz:Sorry man, you seem to be very blind! You guys will always quote matt 5:17-18, without knowing what the verse means! Matt 5:17-18;"Matthew 5:17-18 Amplified Bible (AMP) “Do not think that I came to do away with or undo the Law [of Moses] or the [writings of the] Prophets; I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For I assure you and most solemnly say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke [of the pen] will pass from the Law UNTIL ALL THINGS ARE FULFILLED" What jesus was saying was that he will not abolish the law UNTIL all things are fulfilled. In other words, when all things are fulfilled, then the law can be abolished. Note: all things were fulfilled at the ressurection of Jesus. After his resurrection see what he told his disciples in Luke 24:44. Read below my 37 verses proving it: The law is an unbearable yoke. (Acts 15:10) The law reveals sin but cannot fix it. (Romans 3:20) If the law worked then faith would be irrelevant. (Romans 4:14) The law brings wrath upon those who follow it. (Romans 4:15) The purpose of the law was to increase sin. (Romans 5:20) Christians are not under the law. (Romans 6:14) Christians have been delivered from the law. (Romans 7:1-6) The law is good, perfect and holy but cannot help you be good, perfect or holy. (Romans 7:7-12) The law which promises life only brings death through sin. (Romans 7:10) The law makes you sinful beyond measure. (Romans 7:13) The law is weak. (Romans 8:2-3) The strength of sin is the law (1 Corinthians 15:56) The law is a ministry of death. (2 Corinthians 3:7) The law is a ministry of condemnation. (2 Corinthians 3:9) The law has no glory at all in comparison with the New Covenant. (2 Corinthians 3:10) The law is fading away. (2 Corinthians 3:11) Anywhere the law is preached it produces a mind-hardening and a heart-hardening veil. (2 Corinthians 3:14-15) The law justifies nobody. (Galatians 2:16) Christians are dead to the law. (Galatians 2:19) The law frustrates grace. (Galatians 2:21) To go back to the law after embracing faith is “stupid”.(Galatians 3:1) The law curses all who practice it and fail to do it perfectly. (Galatians 3:10) The law has nothing to do with faith. (Galatians 3:11-12) The law was a curse that Christ redeemed us from. (Galatians 3:13) The law functioned in God’s purpose as a temporary covenant from Moses till John the Baptist announced Christ. (Galatians 3:16 & 19, also see… Matthew 11:12-13, Luke 16:16) If the law worked God would have used it to save us. (Galatians 3:21) The law was our prison. (Galatians 3:23) The law makes you a slave like Hagar. (Galatians 4:24) Christ has abolished the law which was a wall of hostility (Ephesians 2:15) Paul considered everything the law gained him as “skybalon” which is Greek for “poop”. (Philippians 3:4- ![]() The law is only good if used in the right context. (1 Timothy 1: (see next verse for the context) It was made for the unrighteous but not for the righteous. (1 Timothy 1:9-10)The law is weak, useless and makes nothing perfect. (Hebrews 7:18-19) God has found fault with it and created a better covenant, enacted on better promises. (Hebrews 8:7- ![]() It is obsolete, growing old and ready to vanish. (Hebrews 8:13) It is only a shadow of good things to come and will never make someone perfect. (Hebrews 10:1) So, you should know that both of you are on the same track of heresy! |
Splinz:What is this clueless christian talking about ?Take this first; Ephesians 2:15 King James Version (KJV);"Having ABOLISHED in his flesh the enmity, even the LAW OF COMMANDMENTS(10 commandments) contained in ordinances(630 laws); for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;" |
Joagbaje:My friend, you are just a confused christian filled with modern church contradiction. You are trying to say that we are not under the law, but we have to keep them. Listen to yourself and know how confused you sound. Doesn't that look contradictory to you? We are not expected to obey those law for the PURPOSE of looking righteous before God. But if you try to keep them to look righteous before God, then God will make you accursed. Why? Because you don't have the capacity to keep all written in it. Gal 3:10 in many versions; "And all who DEPEND ON THE LAW[who are seeking to be justified by OBEDIENCE TO THE LAW(right living)of rituals] are under a CURSE and doomed to DISAPPOINTMENT and DESTRUCTION, for it is written in the Scriptures, Cursed (accursed, devoted to destruction, doomed to eternal punishment) be everyone who does not continue to abide (LIVE and REMAIN) by ALL the precepts and commands written in the Book of the Law and to practice them." (AMPC) "Anyone who TRIES TO PLEASE GOD BY OBEYING THE LAW(right living) IS UNDER A CURSE. The Scriptures say, “Everyone who doesn’t obey everything in the Law is under a curse.” (CEV) " But people WHO DEPEND ON FOLLOWING THE LAW TO MAKE THEM RIGHT(right living) ARE UNDER A CURSE. As the Scriptures say, “They must do everything that is written in the law. If they do not always obey, they are under a curse.” (ERV) "For all who RELY ON WORKS OF THE LAW(right living) ARE UNDER A CURSE; for it is written, “Cursed be everyone who does not abide by all things written in the Book of the Law, and do them.” (ESV) "Those who depend on OBEYING THE LAW(right living) LIVE UNDER A CURSE. For the scripture says, “Whoever does not always obey everything that is written in the book of the Law is under God's curse!”(GNT) "All those who EXPECT THE LAW TO SAVE THEM FROM THE PUNISHMENT OF SIN(right living) WILL BE PUNISHED. Because it is written, “Everyone who does not keep on doing all the things written in the Book of the Law will be punished.”(NLV) "But those who DEPEND ON THE LAW to make them right WITH GOD are under his curse, for the Scriptures say, “Cursed is everyone who does not observe and obey all the commands that are written in God’s Book of the Law.” (NLT) Normally, it is people who don't know anything about the Law and what it entails are people who live ignorantly by it and as well living under it's curse. I know that by now you will be claiming;"Yeah, but I keep all, it is even simple to keep!". Hmm, don't just risk your life, that's why Jesus is restoring paul-like grace preachers, to set people free from the law, sin consciousness, condemnation and fear. The main problem why we shouldn't keep it, is because we cannot keep ALL. Remember that james said, that if we keep all and fail one, we have failed the whole law. I will like to let you know what the law constitutes. The laws are made up of 10 commandments with 630 laws. The same law that says; women don't wear what pertaineth to man, is against wearing cloths of diverse sorts and colours, is against eating fishes with scale, is against building staircase, balcony and many of them! How dare you keep such laws! You build staircases, wear cloths of diverse sorts and colours, eat fishes with scales, but you(if woman) don't wear what pertaineth to a man, what is the difference ??You are the same with the person that fails all the laws, that's why we will be cursed if we live by them, because we cannot keep ALL of it. So, you better humbly stay away from it! Are you already living under curse? If you are keeping the law as a way to please God, look righteous before God, be right with god, then you are. It is very clea with those scriptures! Law is NOT of faith Gal 3:12; which, in other words means that there is no relationship between law and faith, which in other words it means that, faith and Law REPELS. I WILL HELP YOU WITH THE POST BELOW! The ONLY thing that should make a christian to live rightly is not, LAW salvation prayer or believing in christ's finished, neither it is fear of hell fire(worst of all) as many christians do, but the LOVE of God that is poured in our heart. But, despite the love in our heart and we do something wrong, we are NOT condemned but justified in christ, because the christ's work justifies us not only when we do bad but FOREVER(both bad and good). Finally, you asked if the law was abolished or fulfilled by jesus. But before I answer that(with 37 verses), I will give you a concise answer. The law was ABOLISHED at the cross and at the same time FULFILLED in us at the resurrection, only if we believe. Col 2:14; "Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances(law written by moses) that was against us, which was contrary to us, TOOK IT OUT OF THE WAY and NAILED(abolished) it at the cross." Rom 10:4 "For christ is the end of the law of righteousness to everyone that BELIEVETH(not believing and then, living according to the law) Rom 8:4; "That the (abolished)law of righteousness might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh but after the spirit" Please, I will like to explain that rom 8:4 very well to avoid you misinterpreting it. Walking after the flesh doesn't never meant sin, because we sin everytime due to our inability to keep the law, but thanks to Jesus that he JUSTIFIES US. Walking in flesh means being carnally minded, having the thought that our salvation that was given to you as a gift cannot be maintained by faith alone but by faith + right living which leads you to sin-concious, guilt-concious, trusting in your works of righteousness, living by law as to be seen righteous before God which finally give a product called FAILURE" Walking in spirit doesn't mean; right living or holier-than-thou, NO! But living in the consciousness of your righteousness being FOREVER FREELY justified by christ, being grace conscious and refusing to frustrate the grace of God by trusting on your right living as a way of maintain the Gift of God which is eternal life. But please, how do you think that your righteousness can maintain what it was so filthy that it couldn't earn? That verse is talking about the DEMAND of the law of righteousness, which is to make us righteous before God, being fulfilled in us. That's why we are made righteous by faith and not keeping of the law. No! Because christ took our penalty for our failure to keep the law and now the righteousness that we were striving for, has been established and made perfect in christ ALREADY. And if paul was talking about living by the law then christ is in vain(the bible speaking), because up till now you still lack the ability to keep the 10 commandments and 630+ laws given in the old testament, even after the accepting the holyspirit. Note that the law is against wearing clothes of diverse colours, sorts or wool, building of staircase, using balcony to build house, eating fish with scales and many more. Then if by that, as you are defending the law, we all are on or express way to hell. So now when anyone believes in christ, the righteousness of Jesus is imputed on him by FAITH ONLY, any other way is an established righteousness. The righteousness of God(jesus) CANNOT be imputed on you by the way you live rightly, by faith(just believing the fact you are made righteous forever by him). (Hebrews 10:1) |
Edelweiss44:Do you know what's so STUPID about these atheists? When they fall into an accidental problem, the same person who doesn't believe in God, will start shouting; "OMG!". When they hear some robbery gun shots; these same atheist will be running around just like others, shouting "Oh my God, oh my God, what is happening?" And at times when I hear them shout it, I ask them; Which God are you calling "MY"? It looks so foolish! |

johnydon22:Confused human being!!!!! |
johnw74:The father, Jesus(word- john 1:14) and the holyspirit are ONE. I know that the case of trinity has been a confused case to so many people, but looking at it from all angles of the scriptures you will discover that it is very simple to understand. Now, to start with this, you have to know, that "The father", "Son" and "The holyspirit" are CONCEPTS OF REDEMPTION. They are not different personalities, they are one person REVEALING himself in these different ways, and the ONLY purpose for revealing himself in this way is for the purpose of man's redemption. If there was no need for redemption, there wouldn't be the MANIFESTATION of anything like Jesus or holspirit, but it doesn't mean that they started to exist at the time of their manifestation. No, they were GOD as ONE in the beginning. Now, I will used the below example to explain to you better. 1. I am God(just an example) 2. Before I created the world, I, God was a spirit, the Jesus and the holyspirit which you know now, were also a spirit with me, with no flesh, not visible, not restricted to a place(we were everywhere). We all existed THEN AS ONE SPIRIT. 3. At the time of creation, when I said "Come let us make man in our own image." I wasn't calling different persons, because the I, Jesus and the holyspirit you know now, were ONE spirit and not a human being and beside I haven't created anybody. I was calling my ENTIRE SPIRIT IN CONCENTRATION. 4 Before I created the world I never intended to take myself out of myself, in the person of the Jesus and the holy spirit you know. 5. Finally, the reason why I had to take myself out of myself(a spirit), was because of man's redemption. 6. I created man and gave man the dominion over the earth and it's inhabitants,(I gave all to them, not having any because I wanted them to take care of it all and not me taking care of the earth) but the devil deceived them, which made them to disobey me. And through them damnation came into humanity. 7. And because of that, nobody had what it will take to deliver others from damnation, because the person has to deliver himself first, before delivering others. 8. And for the person to deliver himself he has to pay for the wages of his OWN ETERNAL SiNS FIRST, which is ETERNAL DEATH IN HELL. No way! 9. Now, I coming by myself, was the only way to help my people. 9. And because of that, I decided to take my self out of MYSELF, by making an incarnate son of myself, which you now know as the person of Jesus. See john 1:1 and 14. 10. The incarnate son of myself which I made to be born with no sexual consent, and was as well made in a SINLESS nature, was PART of me but in flesh, that was just a way to help you(mankind) by laying on my flesh the ETERNTAL SINS of the whole world of ETERNITY, and taking it's ETERNAL punishment COMPRESSED IN 3 DAYS(time). Why? Because I am an ETERNAL BEING. 11 And when the incarnate son of myself was in flesh, I was still one with that incarnate son of myself, because without him I am INCOMPLETE, because he WAS IN ME as ONE until the need of man's REDEMPTION came, which in other words means, that without the incarnate son of myself(flesh), I am powerless to save man from their eternal damnation. Because the case of redemption was a LEGAL case where JUSTICE is considered, ALL in order. And the rule for the justice is this; "MAN , THROUGH SIN(adam) LOST THE DOMINION, MAN WITH A SINLESS NATURE, BUT DYING FOR THE SINS OF OTHERS, RECOVERS THE DOMINION FOR ALL". I needed to come in a sinless nature so that I wouldn't be under the captivity of the devil(because I am his creator) and as such, wouldn't be any need to deliver myself first before delivering others, otherwise messes up the whole way. 12. Does it mean that I can't deliver man by any other means? No, not that, because I am the almighty. 13. I am a God of JUSTICE. And I playing injustice is a disappointment to my personality. And the only way to play Justice is to make a SINLESS man out of myself, who will take the punishment of the eternal sins of other(because I am an eternal being). Therefore, restoring the dominion to humanity, because I have been punished for anything(eternal sin) that will make their dominion to be taken away from them by the devil 14. And it worked! 15. But why do I have to go all this way to save them, disregarding my personality? Because, I really LOVE them SO MUCH, and to prove it I had to save them AT ALL COST. 16. When Jesus(my son) was about to go, he promised the holyspirit to come. And that was also me. In the book of john, I told you through my incarnate son of myself the need for the holyspirit to come, so that he can dwell with you FOREVER. WE ARE ONE, REVEALED IN DIFFERENT DIMENSION!!!!!! |
MizJanet:You thought, your foolishness made sense? Hmm, anyway I blame your foolishness! |
