Revman: Thank you very much, I don't mind at all.
I used E2 IELTS the first time. Those guys are good and their techniques work 💯. Everybody I have ever referred to their YouTube channel has had success too.
To train my ears for listening, I picked English teachers from different countries to listen to so that I could get used to their different accents. English with Lucy for British accent , mmm English for Australian accent and one other American lady that I cannot remember her name at the moment.
I also did loads of real IELTS practice tests for listening and reading under test conditions. I couldn't do same for speaking and writing for obvious reasons but I watched every E2 IELTS mock video on those and followed their live classes.
I was really pumped up that time so I gave it everything.
As for the second time, I really just booked that exam and went for it because if I had waited my fear would have gotten the best of me. My only preparation was to rewatch all E2 IELTS super methods videos to reacquaint myself with their strategies.
You see those strategies, hold them dear. Form acronyms for them if you can. It will help you remember.
But in all, na God finally because na Him dey bless and magnify effort. I remain grateful to Him.
If anyone needs help with IELTS, please reach out. I will do what I can to help you. May God bless us all on this journey. Thanks alot for taking out time to give a detailed response. This info will surely help and I will reach out if I have any further concerns. Thanks again! |

Revman: I have been on this journey since 2019.
Wrote my first IELTS and got LRSW 9987, CRS was 463 then COVID hit and everything went downhill from there. Watching time run out on my IELTS was one of the most painful things, I was so pained that I just ignored Canada.
Last month a friend encouraged me to write IELTS and enter the pool again. I did on the 24th and got LRSW 9888. I was so afraid but thank God I passed. CRS is now 445 due to age. The pain no be here.
Meanwhile I did a tech course in 2022 and pivoted because law is not a cross-border profession. I also dabbled into farming during COVID because man must chop.
As it stands now na only God fit run this Canada PR for me and I am writing this post just to put it out there that I will not write this traumatic IELTS again and my ECA will not expire in my hand without me and my family getting our PR.
Currently also learning french. I have suffered on top this matter.
Tired of feeling down about this so I just had to let it out. Pardon my rant abeg.
Oluwa please show up for your girl. Any which way na way. These IELTS results are impressive....do you mind sharing the resources you used to prepare? Thank you |

evb2000: This trend is for those who genuinely went into kdp to write and publish their intellectual works and are finding it difficult to scale. It is not for those who purchased those fake courses flying around on facebook and twitter and want to hammer overnight.
I have been writing and publishing on amazon for a while have been getting so much mentions, and emails from followers of my japa diary. I have decided to dedicate one week to answer some questions. Just one week, so you can drop your questions.
No one should DM me, i won't respond. So, now is the time to ask your questions. How did you create your Business account? Also,How do I get in contact with your mentor? as I'd like to be trained too. |

Let's say I'm currently self employed and I stopped working in the corporate world 1 year ago.
Can I still use that work experience to apply?

Omiinii: How to open GIC in canada
First you go to there website https://pay.cibc.com/ISBO/payment/#/ and create a profile. 1. You are applying for student GIC program
2. Minimum amount is $10000, you can do upto $20000 but bear in mind that this money will only be available on tranches for a period of 8 months or so.
3. Select resident country
4. Do not check the I'd like to pay in canadian dollars box
5.. you will see an amount in USD click on it and continue, that amount will be held for 20 minutes while u fill the form
6. After filling the form you will be contacted by the bank in 1-2 business days with an account number to pay into
7.. proceed to the bank and make the payment from a USD account
NOTE: payment can be only made once before you arrive to Canada. And PAYMENT MUST BE MADE FROM THE SAME NAME ACCOUNT OTHERWISE THEY WILL RETURN YOUR MONEY Thanks alot for the detailed info. I will look into it |

Omiinii: Or Scenario 5: pay full tuition for first year and buy a guarantee investment certificate of $10k. And explain sources for subsequent funds if it's more than a year program.
I'm saying so because of the bolded. Your words not mine. Please can you throw more light on this? How does the GIC work? Is $10k worth how much? Also, that would be $23k which is not readily available. Only $20k is available at the moment. $26k will be available by first week of June but school resumes in September which i think is late already. Thanks |

Davidbanky: Yes .. that’s why I said $13k … if you can come up with that and your school fees .. that’s perfect. Pay full tuition or first semester and you are good Okay. Thanks |

Davidbanky: I’ll advice scenerio 4 … you are expected to have your full tuition, then living expenses + misc is around 13k so the more the money the better Thanks for the response. I thought misc is 3k? |

Hello guys, please I need advice on how to go about this, I'm a bit worried and confused right now based on my POF.
Scenario 1
So, my tuition for 1 year is 13000cad. Living expenses is 10,000cad by default. I have 20,000cad available from my business and 200,000naira available on my salary account with good inflows too. My first semester tuition is 7000cad. Should I pay for my first semester tuition and do my visa application with what I have now? Or
Scenario 2 Should I wait to end of April to add more funds from my business to make it 23,000cad, Salary account to 500k, Pay for first semester tuition and then apply by first week of May?
Scenario 3
Should I just apply with the POF I have available now without paying for first semester tuition fee?
Scenario 4
Should I just defer my admission and save up at least 50,000cad to have enough money for my POF before applying again?
Thanks and appreciate your responses.
NB: My business is consistently bringing in money every month passively and I have a good salary job. |
