Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by propofol: 1:49pm On Jun 25, 2012 |
philipin7: Pls i will like to find out if council tax statement can be submitted bering the landlord's name or my sponsor's name. My husband is my sponsor and presently he lives in a room in an apartment of which he pays his rent to the owner of the apartment and when he went to the council tax office in the uk he was told that he needs to get a double room or a flat before the council tax document can come in his name. He intends getting an apartment in September and we will apply for a 6 months visa in December.well when i applied for my uk visa i did not put in any council tax payment and i was successful. it is not so much about submitting all these numerous document but one must just be straoght forward and honest. thats it. |
Politics / Re: Brazilian President To Lead Delegation Of Businessmen To Nigeria by propofol: 10:21pm On Jun 21, 2012 |
honestly i can only conclude that this our president is not very smart. so after begging them to come , is he going to force them to invest. how many business men will invest in a bomb- ridden unstable land, then to prove my point the friendly football match between Nigeria and Brazil has been cancelled!!!Any idiot can read the writings on the wall.!!! |
Health / Re: Federal Doctors In Lagos Begin Solidarity Strike For Sacked Colleagues by propofol: 9:04pm On May 19, 2012 |
everyone keep critising the doctors, quoting whatever oath like they wrote them, well all i have to say is that the government have succeeded in fooling all of you.they have you where they want you. these doctors are not all perfect i know but consider the working conditons, have the govt provided facilities to work with? in a clinic of a typical govt hospital the drs arrive before 8p.m and he can see up to 100 patients in an uncomfortable consulting room , he is over welmed the enviroment is not condusive for him and yet he is expected to give 100%. why cant the govt start by providing more teaching hospitals. in a state like lagos with over 12 M citizenes, we only have 2 teaching hospitals which are not even well equipped . when i say equipment i mean mundane things like water in the taps and electricity. i know of patients who refuse to take their baths or use the toilets because the wards do not have water running. i'm over ten years in the medical profession and i have been buying my own gloves even before i left medical school.we have bent over backwards many times for the patients . we work without the latest equipment, majority get better., our clinical skills are sharp. we are world renowned and thats why every doctors that succeeds in working abroad does so well. because we work under such extreme conditions here that once you get to developed world, the sky is the limit. Lets find out how many nigerian doctors are in the US,UK, Canada, South Africa etc and see how well they are doing. With the present situation the brain drain will only continue. Meanwhile these govt officals couldn't care less. Afterall they fly abroad for their medical problems. yet people will say they support fashola 100%.!!! I'm just sorry for this country. Where in the world do people go on strike and then they are ALL SACKED. THIS Government is setting a DANGEROUS PRECEDENCE!!.If this sack is upheld, there shall be serious consequences that will affect all profession. Then no job will be secure in this country . Is that whay you guys want? Meanwhile the strike commerced at 8 am yesterday, i with my fellow colleagues were still working till saturday morning. As i speak to you, drs are still there taking care of in patients, so you all can proceed to continue to rain insults on us, we are in a noble profession and we will continue to take care of you. |
Health / Re: Why Patients Lie During Medical Consultations? by propofol: 7:10pm On Mar 09, 2012 |
patients lie because 1, they are afraid 2.they are uneducated because they dont know that giving the correct info may actually save their life. 3.they do not want to be condemned; so medical staff can be quite condescending. 4. apart from hospitals they also consult their pastors, imams and babalawos ; so there is a conflict of interest, and most pts are confused 5.medical care is expensive so they wont give you all the information you need so that they wont be charged for more tests and drugs. 1 Like |

meanwhile the inspector-general of police has spent the last 48 hours treathening innocent nigeria who just want to express themselves peacefully. In civilized societies, he would simply resign. Anyway this is Nigeria ,a land where anything goes. |
Politics / Re: Boko Haram Claims 5 Bombings by propofol: 4:59pm On Dec 25, 2011 |
i'm sad . enough is enough. we have become a terrorist state, due to the ineptitude of this present government. i feel its not about religion. i feel its totally 100% POLITICAL, Why do i say so, ? minutes ago, the british foriegn minister has come out to totally condemn the bombing, calling the terrorists .how many prominent leaders in nigeria especially northerners ie babangida, buhari, the sultan of sokoto , aliko dangote atiku will come out to condemn these brazen attacks?. We are all waiting for them to attack Lagos. That my friends will be sooner than we think, |

@ beta things. My point exactly. YOU ARE BEING DEFENSIVE. I FOR ONE DONT FEEL THE NEED TO PROVE ANY FACT OR ANYTHING ABOUT MY RELIGION! THE ISSUE DOESNOT EVEN COME UP. MY RELIGION IS VERY PERSONAL -YOU KNOW BETWEEN ME AND MY MY GOD |
Politics / Re: Rev Oladimeji Thinks GEJ May be Nigeria's Last President by propofol: 10:44pm On Sep 17, 2011 |
Islam, the religion of terrorists? You guys should learn a little history So who caused WWI and WWII? Muslims? Who cause the problem of Bakassi? Muslims? Who held a conference to carve up Africa in 1885? Muslims? What is the dominant religion of the country whose intelligence agency has caused the most assassinations in this world? Islam? What is the dominant religion of the country that has supported internal division the most in the world? Islam? What is the religion of the countries that sent criminals to foreign countries and in the case of Australia to massacre the natives? Islam? Please i need a single muslim to explain to me why they have to be sooooo defensive.? Why cant you guys be peaceful? some little % of you go around bombing every where and the rest of you can not even come out to condemn that in totality. ITS SO SAD!!!The whole world is unsafe because of one religion. |
Business / Re: Unoccupied Houses In Lekki: Built With 'Corruption Money'? by propofol: 10:10pm On Sep 17, 2011 |
The only acceptable excuse for this idiotic write up is that it was written by a 7years old child (no offense to the smart 7 years old children out there). How on earth did he come to the conclusion that the owners of these homes looted money. . .did the he make any attempt to find out who those homes belong to? How they made a living? Find out the circumstances behind the homes remaining occupied? Did he even attempt any form of investigation before flexing his fingers? Sigh! Guess anyone can be a writer these days. Damn you wordpress!! @ sisi kill - a plot of land in lekki is over 40M. How many nigerians can afford that. ,This is an area where only one road leads in and out , and literally gets flooded every time it rains, yet rent has not crashed ,prices of land still too high in lekki. Its still a status symbol. doesnt make sense to me. The only explanation ---CORRUPTION!!! If you worked hard for every dime you used to build your house, if you sweated to raise funds legally-trust me you would not leave the house unoccupied. |
