Politics / Dame Patience Jonathan Is A Friend Of Akwa Ibom State- Udom Emmanuel by proselector: 11:21pm On Nov 22, 2014
DAME PATIENCE JONATHAN IS A FRIEND OF
AKWA IBOM STATE- UDOM EMMANUEL
Wisdytech | November 21, 2014 | Politics | No
Comments
The LEADING 2015 PDP Governorship Aspirant
in Akwa Ibom State and the Immediate past
secretary to the Akwa Ibom state Government ,
Mr Udom Gabriel Emmanuel has refuted the
news item carried by the online and print media
that he called the first lady of Nigeria, Dame
Patience Jonathan “an enemy of Akwa Ibom
State”. Mr Udom has dismissed the story as a
tissue of lies, spurious blackmail and baseless
political propaganda waged against him by
some miscreants and blackmail agents who
intend to soil the excellent friendship the first
lady enjoys with the government and people of
Akwa Ibom State. Speaking to journalists in
Uyo, the former Zenith Bank Executive Director
said the news had no iota of truth in it. “My
attention was drawn to it and I wondered where
that story emanated from. It is not true and
cannot be true. The leadership and the good
people of Akwa Ibom State relate very well with
Mr President and the first lady in all
ramifications. That story should be
disregarded. You journalists also owe a duty to
the society to report only what is true in other
that your profession is taken seriously”.
Also reacting to the story, the Office
Administrator, UDOM/ACA Media Committee,
Mr Emmanuel Nicholas said the comment or
statement credited to Udom Emmanuel only
exists in the figment of the imagination of the
writers which Udom has no idea about the said
report.” Reading through the report can confirm
that there is no iota of truth whatsoever in the
said story. It is purely the handwork of
detractors who created the false reports against
Udom to paint him black and make him appear
as a bad person before the right thinking
members of the public”.
Nicholas said it is on record that Mr Udom
Emmanuel commended the peaceful conduct of
the exercise at his home ward, Awa Iman, in
Onna local government which he was very
contented and satisfied with the outcome of the
ward congress. He said there is no basis that
Udom could accuse the wife of the President
over delegate list because he knows that such
thing is strictly for the party. Everybody in Akwa
Ibom, Nigeria and the World knows Udom
Emmanuel as a decent and clean personality
who does not make careless statements, accuse
or insult people in the name of politics.
Mr Nicholas reiterated that Mr Udom Emmanuel
has strongly condemned the said report created
by those opposing his governorship ambition
that are desperate of causing disaffection
between him and the First Lady of the Federal
Republic of Nigeria, and further overheat the
polity by dragging the First Lady into the
useless and baseless report against Udom
Emmanuel.

“This blackmail is taken too far, the whole
world knows that Udom Emmanuel is a son to
the wife of the President who have enjoyed the
motherly love of the First Lady, Dame Patience
Jonathan over the years without any acrimony,
and not even politics that can make Udom
insult or accused the First Lady.
‘Udom Emmanuel is a nice gentleman who is
much known of being reserved in comments and
does not talk carelessly. This created story is
baseless and does not resemble the person or
character of Mr Udom Emmanuel. He has long
been working with President Jonathan before
he became secretary to state government which
the First Lady knew Udom and relate with him
long before now”.

Mr Nicholas added that it is based on this
excellent qualities embedded in Udom
Emmanuel that stood him out among all the
appointees of Governor Akpabio which the
governor is very pleased and confident in his
ability to lead the state. “Udom Emmanuel does
not have any idea what so every about the said
report, he could not have made such
irresponsible accusation or comment because
everybody knows him to be a very respectful
and responsible person, and has not granted
anybody interview concerning the ward
congress apart from expressing satisfaction on
the orderly conduct of the congress. Whoever
created the story to pull down this decent man
whom God has blessed with the right mentality,
leadership vision, and capacity to lead the
state should desist from such act and
remember that whatever evil anybody does, he
or she will certainly pay for it if not now but
later”. He said.
‘This is one in the series of many blackmails
and falsehood against Mr Udom Emmanuel, this
is a challenge to whoever originated the false
report to bring down Udom should publish the
voice record otherwise should immediately
retract the falsehood and apologize
unconditionally to Mr Udom Emmanuel and the
First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for
the embarrassment the report have caused.
Mr Emmanuel Nicholas said the peace and
unity of the state was paramount and every
peace loving citizen should work towards that.
“As the 2015 governorship draws near, it is
undoubtedly the era of desperation, it is
important to avoid in which ever form the
politics that will destroy the continuous peace,
unity, and the synergy between the state and
the Federal government which Akwa Ibom is
currently enjoying.

‘Mr Udom Emmanuel is very confidence and
satisfied with the leadership of Mr President
and that of the National Chairman of the
People’s Democratic Party in delivering to all
Nigerians the right leadership they deserves”
Also in an interview with some of the people of
the state, thirteen out of fifteen people pledge
their Total support for udom.

I would begin this series with blogging.

A blog is simply a website or webpage updated frequently. And to make money with blogging, its simply in this formula:
Nice blog design + content + Ads + Traffic = Money

Its could be a news blog, personal diary, photos, reviews, etc.

examples are
www.ogbongeblog.com
www.lindaikeji..com

To start blogging, you have to decide what you wish to blog about. News, entertainment, cars, education, etc. This is called a niche.

You could read more on www.wikihow.com/Start-a-Blog
So now you have decided you want to blog, you have chosen a niche, next is to decide

1. Domain Name
2. Blogging Software
3. Hosting

The domain name is like ur Business name and address while the Hosting is the property that houses your business.

Some companies offer these 3.
So to start your blog, visit www.blogger.com , www. or www.wapka.mobi (mainly if you are a mobile device) all for free sign up.

How to decide a blogging platform will be handled in our premuim class.

Next, I will talk on Domain name and blog design. So you keep a date with me tomorrow. MTN subscribers should pls make it a date on Monday night for free Recharge pins.. Gud nyt

Introduction:

Online Businesses are simply businesses you do over the Internet. And like the conventional business done offline, you make money by selling you goods or services. By that I mean, the Internet doesn't just spin money or mint note, the money made, is being paid by someone somewhere. You probably may not know the location.

This is one big advantage online businesses have over offline, you business is not limited to you geographical location.

According to nextweb, all Online businesses could be classified into at least one of the Business model below

Brokerage

Brokers are market-makers: they bring buyers
and sellers together and facilitate
transactions.

Advertising

The web advertising model is an extension of
the traditional media broadcast model. The
broadcaster, in this case, a web site, provides
content (usually, but not necessarily, for free)
and services (like email, IM, blogs) mixed with
advertising messages in the form of banner
ads.

Infomediary

Independently collected data about producers
and their products are useful to consumers
when considering a purchase. Some firms
function as infomediaries (information
intermediaries) assisting buyers and/or sellers
understand a given market.

Merchant

Wholesalers and retailers of goods and
services. Sales may be made based on list
prices or through auction.

Manufacturer (Direct)

The manufacturer or “direct model”, it is
predicated on the power of the web to allow a
manufacturer (i.e., a company that creates a
product or service) to reach buyers directly
and thereby compress the distribution
channel.

Affiliate

In contrast to the generalized portal, which
seeks to drive a high volume of traffic to one
site, the affiliate model, provides purchase
opportunities wherever people may be surfing.
It does this by offering financial incentives (in
the form of a percentage of revenue) to
affiliated partner sites.

Community

The viability of the community model is based
on user loyalty. Users have a high investment
in both time and emotion. Revenue can be
based on the sale of ancillary products and
services or voluntary contributions; or revenue
may be tied to contextual advertising and
subscriptions for premium services.

Subscription

Users are charged a periodic – daily, monthly
or annual – fee to subscribe to a service.

Utility

The utility or “on-demand” model is based on
metering usage, or a “pay as you go”
approach.

An Interview with one of the winners of Youwin 2011.

Utibe: Writing business plan is not like writing
a letter. Sometimes you might be very good in
writing good English and you can speak
fluently. When it comes to writing a business
plan, it’s a different ball game. You don’t just
write irrelevant stories. You need to put the
relevant things first; the facts and statistics. If
you put something that is boring, write
stories, the judges will not have that time to
read through long stories. This is a
competition. You don’t have to write 500,000
words just to get the point. When you are
writing your business plan you need to give
them the fact. For instance, may be you are
going into agriculture; the government has a
good plan like giving loan. Like if you are into
poultry they will give you some incentives.
Show them those incentives, and say this is
what I stand to gain if I go into farming. So
give them facts. Proof to them that the
environment is conducive…

In the News!

President Goodluck Jonathan on Monday in
Abuja launched the $50 million Venture
Capital Fund also known as the YouWin!
Small and Medium Enterprise, SME,-Growth
Fund.
Mr. Jonathan launched the fund alongside the
fourth round of the Youth Enterprise with
Innovation in Nigeria (YouWin) programme at
an event held at the Banquet Hall of the
Presidential Villa.
The fourth edition is expected to support
additional 1,500 entrepreneurs along with the
SME-Growth fund, which is a private equity
fund for entrepreneurs.
Speaking at the launch, Mr. Jonathan said the
new enterprise fund would enable those who
won previous grants from the YouWin
programme to take their businesses to the
next level.
He said judicious administration of the fund
would require hard work on the side of
government, adding that if government worked
hard, it could attract more contributions from
investors.
The president further noted that the new fund
would be managed by independent fund
managers alongside the government and “you
will not need to know somebody to access it”.
He said that selection of beneficiaries would
be highly competitive and strictly based on
merit.
The president lauded the efforts of the
Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala,
whom, she said, has so far successfully
coordinated three batches of the YouWin
programme.
Citing available records, Mr. Jonathan
expressed delight that a total of 22,000 jobs
had been created by the first and second
editions of YouWin.
He expressed the hope that with the launch of
the fourth edition, the total number of jobs
would rise to 44,000.
The president, who had earlier inspected an
exhibition by beneficiaries of the programme,
expressed happiness over the quality of
products which, he said, were of international
standard.
Describing YouWin as arguably one of the
finest initiatives of his administration, Mr.
Jonathan said that the response of youths to
the programme was a source of pleasure to
him.
In her speech, Ms. Okonjo-Iweala said that the
disbursement of funds in the third phase of
the programme would commence shortly as
the hitches had been cleared.
She added that another 1,500 entrepreneurs
would be supported with grants of between
one million naira and 10 million naira to
enable them to improve or run their
businesses, expand them and create jobs.

Udom: The 'Brand and Its Characteristics By Charles Etimette

I was reading from some of the online fora the other day when suddenly a particular caption struck a familiar rhythm.

It was ‘Akwa Ibom rejecting coca cola’ or ‘...their coca cola’. The headline caught my attention first as an Akwa Ibom person, second, because I like coca cola more than any other soft drink, third, and more important, because I know more about coca cola drink. Coca cola is the only soft drink the world over with that unique taste and flavour without imitation.

You can name it as the only soft drink with global appeal. A comedian likens it to Igbo man, “wherever you go in the whole wide and you do not see coca cola and Igbo man, please hurry and leave that place”. Strickingly, coca cola reins as the most populous item in the world. Again, consumers assert that coca cola quenches taste more than every other soft drink.

By general assessment therefore, there are only two soft drinks in the world: coca cola and others.
Intriguingly, as I followed the text I found the SSG, Mr Udom Gabriel Emmanuel embellished in the story as the Akwa Ibom coca cola, so referred. You can readily perceive a unique link in comparison. And rightly, the writer couldn’t be righter. Indeed, Udom Emmanuel has stirred many unique and positive chords in many areas since his assumption of duty as Secretary to the Akwa Ibom State government.

Many have even been spurned by his tall credentials and potentials, to the extent that even those who call him ‘new’ in the day time would confess at night and quiet places that he is a man capable of striking the desired harmony in the leadership calculus of the state particularly, as the state is now propped on the pivot of playing the lead in the emerging global socio-economic trend, where ability for leaders to connect globally is the only staying formula.

Indeed, any writer that ditches opportunity of writing on this global personality could only be guided by personal indiscretion that writing about personalities could be the riskiest ‘genre’ of the pen vocation. Chances are that you could be misunderstood either way. For one, the one written about will not call a tea party if he feels not accorded his due references-including titles in the process. Not naming a personality’s traditional tittles or academic qualifications appropriately could constitute a serious offence.

Conversely, your action could be misconstrued as seeking special notice or favour from the source. It could draw a lot of flakes either way. That is why this brand of journalism is sometime treated much like the proverbial sleeping dog; which must be allowed to lie.

But sometimes certain personalities pose a larger than life image that cannot just be ignored, particularly if they appear to be stirring needless controversy. And Udom Emmanuel does; not because he should, but because those who started the controversy were unable to immediately ‘see through’ the man’s inner contents. But you see, sometimes beyond such promptings, controversy is necessary lubricant of the society.

Controversy is game-like, it tickles certain fancies and even fantasies. It brings out the ‘meat’ in the issue or object involved. Controversy pops up both the rotten and the fresh sides. In fact, controversy brings out the best in men, and women, particularly in those whose lives find responsibility in leading others.

Both genuine and opportune leaders, managers of human affairs and others opting to be in the ‘public eye’ have often found controversy their closest and unavoidable neighbour. The office of the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, has evidently attracted some controversies lately, not because the occupant of that office has been found as incapable, rather, because he is seen in different light by some less informed political ‘job men’. While one poll believes that the banking magnet has acquired a long enough credentials and experiences that are valuable in solidifying the Akwa Ibom project, others see him as intruder and despicable neophyte in the political game of the state.

At one point they have described him as “political nyad ndikod,” not deserving of inclusion in the political line-up of the state.

The allegation as currently making the rounds is that he is being foisted as ready successor to the exalted office of the governor of the state. They contend that because the SSG has not been a long standing ‘mix’ in the political reign of the state.

I believe in the superiority of fore-runners particularly in organisation such as political party where old ‘connection’ is the name of the game. But I also know that sometimes certain names and images conjure the needed winning strategies than others. A lot of persons in the private and even the public sector are card carrying members of the ruling party and others.

Some of them may be dormant members physically but super active members with their heads and pockets in terms of their personal contributions for the running of their various party chapters.

Agreed that politics is a game of number, but money still runs the parties, not the quantum of members. Meanwhile, none of those now fuming ever dared to say that Udom Emmanuel is not qualified to lead Akwa Ibom State as governor, assuming the fear is genuine. None of them can deny the fact that Udom Emmanuel, by his international exposure and connection, has the capacity to attract investment to the state than many others.

No one would deny too, the fact that Udom Emmanuel made it to the top as Executive Director in an international bank by dint of hard work.
It is certainly no mean feat in a competitive private sector where brain and brawn are the leading force, where integrity and honesty cannot be in short supply if you must climb.

The sum of these therefore is that, Udom Emmanuel went, saw it right, did it right and left it right; and so Udom is right. Besides, the big concern is always that no system runs without a check or control. Even in the advanced democracies of the world, succession arrangement is always among the most crucial arrangements a party must confront with guided rigidity. No party worth its salt and following has ever allowed such a crucial issue to chance for the simple reason of democracy being a ‘government of the people for the people, by the people.

Parties become seriously involved in working out their successor plans because it is the only manner to guarantee their staying in power. Check out even the history of America’s two parties- the Democrat and Republican, succession run is never all comers’ affair. Not every member that projects the image or aim and objectives of the party, no matter how high the member considers himself can have free access to certain information or position concerning the party.

This is neither marginalisation nor discrimination. It is simply a party affair
That is why it cannot be all members’ affair to contest if at any point in time the party hierarchy or caucus believes that a particular member or members would save the interest of the party best.

It is why parties conduct primary elections or go into consensus arrangement. This is usually done in order to bringing out the best to represent them at general contest. Level. This is why t No one puts a three-legged horse to a polo competition.

Even at that, if at any point Udom decides to enter the contest one can be sure that the man will be put through a primary election or consensus platform; and all to be conducted by the same party and people. So, what is the fuss all about? The truth still remains States and nations are better run by select persons who can well feel the pulse of the people or system and know what antidotes to apply for the best interest of the people.

Yes! Democracy is defined a government of the people for the people by the people. What this means that there is a government in place that must take care of the people’s interest.

But that government has to be managed by certain persons who take decisions and actions on behalf of the people. Okay, put it differently, leadership should be a continuum. Akwa Ibom is currently running a free and compulsory education from primary to Secondary school level. It has become a people’s towering welfare programme that should be sustained.

The education policy therefore becomes a plus to the ruling party. Interestingly, not every member of the party would subscribe to it. And if opportunity avails itself for such a person to become the next governor it can be sure that the free education policy would be among the first to suffer dislocation.

Yet, the policy was aimed at genuinely taking the Akwa Ibom child somewhere in the future.
Does Udom Emmanuel as SSG believe in the policy? To the question, Udom Emmanuel does not only believe in free education but also in qualitative education. Another pertinent question is, the number one seat of the state zoned to Eket Senatorial District where Udom Emmanuel hails from? The authority must have a way of choosing the best from the zone. Even from the Eket senatorial district, it is certain that there will be others to ‘work’ through the primary bouts. But we can also be sure that not all that will come to the ‘choose me’ exercise can be said to be worthy. Udom Emmanuel is currently the SSG. He should be allowed to so function. When the time to make him the next governor comes, those with a duty or duties to perform in that direction will stand up to be so counted.

But like I stated earlier, controversy can bring out the best in men and women. And if eventually Mr Udom Emmanuel, a unique brand and its character should become the prophesied, then he would have known that he got there through storms and spittle and so, would give the best to justify such confidence reposed in him by they people.
Politics / Akwa Ibom Decides 2015- Let's Discuss It Here by proselector: 2:11pm On Aug 11, 2014
proselector: This is a must read...

GOVERNOR AKPABIO, 2015 AND HIS TRADUCERS
By Uwemedimo Umanah

In recent times, notably, as the tenure of the present administration in the state is winding up, the state Governor, Chief Godswill Akpabio has been a subject of terrible criticisms, both in the media and in political circles, by some of those who were once his friends, political associates, and beneficiaries among others.
This scenario makes the politics of Akwa Ibom State governorship elections of 2015 more interesting, thought stimulating, and intellectually tasking, since the creation of the state in 1987 for a number of reasons. First, the incumbent governor of the state, Godswill Akpabio has redefined the character of politics through unparalleled infrastructural development, thereby engendering greater interest for the position of Governor, by politicians. The result of this is that politicians have come to the realization that government can indeed be used to touch lives.
Secondly, the formation of hostile political alliances and counter alliances, aimed at forestalling Governor Akpabio's succession plan has led to "a unity" of the opposition elements in the state to achieve that purpose. I will come back to that shortly!
The removal of Umana Okon Umana, as Secretary to the Akwa Ibom State Government on July 29, 2013 had unsettled the political equilibrium in the state. It gave succinct meaning to Paulo Coelho's philosophy that anyone who has loses something he thought was his forever finally comes to realize that nothing really belongs to him.
Umana's anticipation was a negation of providentialism. He had erroneously assumed that nobody, including God, could stop him from succeeding Chief Godswill Akpabio as Governor of Akwa Ibom State in 2015. This belief was predicated on the fact that he was the primus inter pare in the state, with the entire political machinery of state at his disposal. Obviously, Umana had consolidated his firm control of this machinery by spearheading the removal of EXCO members and political office holders that were not in his good books, and bringing on board those that would enhance his political ambition. But he miscalculated, because the resignation of Mr Nsima Ekere as deputy governor in 2012 had opened a new vista in the political history of the state. That resignation attracted widespread condemnation by pundits, and analysts alike, while ushering in a new of phase of opposition.
The "new opposition", found expression in the "Operation Umana must Go campaign", which drew currency from three main groups, namely: the first was those sympathetic to Obong Nsima Ekere, who saw their principal as a victim of an inordinate lust for power by Umana(UOU); the second group consisted of supporters of political appointees who fell off favour, and were relieved of their positions on Umana Umana's recommendation and intrigues. The third group or the middle force, was an amalgam of Akwa Ibomites in the diaspora, and at home, with firm control of the media, particularly, the internet space and the local newspapers who believed in good governance, justice, and equity, and doubted UOU's capacity to guarantee these variables, in the face of his overbearing and larger- than-life approach to leadership. Together, it was an uncoordinated, but voluntary political revolution aimed at installing a just and tranquil socio-political order, which is a prerequisite for sustainable development. Herein lies the basis of zoning and political rotation, as enshrined in Nigerian Constitution (federal character principle), and the constitution of the Peoples Democratic Party).
As Plato, the ancient political philosopher noted, the aim of the good society is neither freedom, nor economic well-being... rather the aim of the good society is justice... a true State, therefore, must be conformed to justice.
The appointment of Udom Emmanuel, an Executive Director of Zenith Bank as Umana's successor, both as SSG, and as "the ordained system candidate" for the office of Governor, also was gratifying. The unique and path breaking appointment, was not only commendable, but timely, as need arose to give the government a corporate image. A few months later, Udom Emmanuel became the 'Right Man' for the 2015 governorship. What gives him indomitable advantages over other contenders are his solid professional background, where he comes from, which is ESD, and ultimately, the Governor's support.
The choice of Udom Emmanuel, arguably, was thoughtful and cerebral, the reason being that he has a sophisticated knowledge of the workings of the global political economy, owing to his meteoric rise in the corporate world. If Udom(UGE) is such a marketable brand, then the fact that his purported adoption by the governor as successor has multiplied Governor Akpabio's traducers, is even more evident.
There is a home- grown argument, that the governor should allow the people a free hand to choose whoever will lead them in 2015. This argument springs from the camps of nearly all the guber aspirants from Uyo Senatorial District, but that line of thought loses its tenability in the context of politics. Harold Laswell defined politics as a process of who gets what, when, and how, and David Easton conceives of it as authoritative allocation of values in the society. While Easton's definition is capable of throwing us into an endless debate, especially on the specificity of "values", Laswell's definition gives a clearer insight into the dynamics of politics and entire political process, in the sense that it explicates the rationale for those in power expressing preponderant interest in who succeeds them. As a political scientist noted, the greatest desire of of leaders are glory, honor, and prestige. ( Political relevance and capital accumulation are attendants of these).
By possible extrapolation, these values, though egoistic in nature, are so core to leaders that they wouldn't compromise them on the altar of "political trivialities". By extrapolation, it's irrational to assume that a sitting Governor wouldn't be interested in who wants to succeed him. Why then do we refer to a governments as a continuum? Policy consistency lies at the heart of this. As noted George Guvamatanga, a Financial Expert, and Managing Director of Barclays Bank of Zimbabwe, policy inconsistency and lack of clarity continues to scare off potential investors in Sub- Saharan Africa... No one gives you money or brings investment because they feel sorry for you or they like you, but because it makes investment sense. Policy summersaults, therefore, kills the potentials of an emerging economy, making a nonsense of past efforts at development. The facts that the Tinapa Business Resort is in a state of comatose, exemplifies the primitivity of policy inconsistency. Leaders therefore prefer as successors, those who would likely share their vision and conceptualization of development, and it is believed that the "body-language" of Governor Akpabio is looking in the direction of Udom Emmanuel. This has elicited an unprecedented vilification by a few other aspirants, principal among which are Umana Okon Umana, former Secretary to Government, Bassey Albert Akpan, immediate past finance Commissioner, Bishop Samuel Akpan and Chief Assam Assam who is the Nigerian ambassador to Russia.
While Umana is apparently aggrieved with the Governor for firing him as SSG, and adopting Udom Emmanuel to succeed him as Governor in 2015, others are crying wolf that instead of the Governor imposing a successor on the people, the electioneering process should be on a level playing turf, against the PDP zoning arrangement which was reaffirmed in the town hall meetings that the governorship position for 2015, be zoned to Eket Senatorial District of the state, which has not produced a governor, since Akwa Ibom was created in 1987.
It begs the question, as what would precipitate Umana's grievance, having served as SSG, a position for which he least bargained, for six record years? A political scientist, and Philosopher Baron De Montesquieu avails us with the possible answer to the question thus: power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely... Abraham Lincoln reinforced this when he opined that, nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's true character, give him power. Political Analysts believe that Umana Okon Umana's ambition to govern Akwa Ibom falls flat of reason, and is studded with greed, and quest for personal aggrandizement, as his attitude depicts a man that cannot be trusted with the assets of power. His numerous sponsored advertorials and media attacks against the governor, whom he served for that long attests to his hypocritical demeanor. That's why keen watchers and pundits have argued that it's the height of ingratitude and caricature for a man who served in a government for six years as a rallying force and an integral part of it, to censure it.
Bassey Albert Akpan, who was recently relieved of his duty as Finance Commissioner, considers his removal from the state EXCO, as an opportunity to launch his governorship ambition. He is believed by many, particularly, the youth of Uyo , Itu, and Ibiono, to be a very generous person, whom, if given an opportunity to rule the state, would lead a policy that will empower young folks in the state. His aim to rule Akwa Ibom State is borne out of infantile exuberance. A Peace Expert with the university of Uyo posits that Bassey's exuberance has misled him to the thought that the "boys" played an important role in the 2006 governorship primaries that led to the emergence of Chief Godswill Akpabio, and that the same feat will be repeated in 2015.
Bassey was allegedly coerced into the 2015 governorship fray by a group of boys, who constitute what has come to be known as I-33. This group initialized with UOU as their plan A, and Albert as an alternative, or plan B. Their current routine is taking their campaigns to palm wine joints, and other public arenas. A political commentator once said that this group anchors their reliance on the use of terror and violence in order to achieve their objective. But the reliability of this theoretical underpinning is shaky, in the sense that electoral violence can only thrive in an environment that is conducive to it. Furthermore, the growing level of political education and maturity in the Akwa Ibom society is antithetical to the "violence thesis", and therefore situates it within the prism of juvenile hallucination.
There is another group who sees Governor Akpabio as a betrayer. Led by Samuel Akpan, a former Deputy Chairman of the PDP, the group's resort to spirituality is known to all. Samuel Akpan allegedly believes that he played a pivotal role, through the instrumentality of a group AKPF, in the emergence of Governor Akpabio in 2006, and therefore deserves a "pay back", by being allowed by the Governor to him succeed. If one juxtaposes this claim against the fact that there were over a thousand persons that supported the governor in 2006, then it loses it's essence. Again, it has been argued in intellectual circles that if Bishop Akpan played any spiritual role in the emergence of Chief Akpabio, it confers on him certain spiritual abilities. Rather than resort to physical accusations, he should make a recourse to the similar spiritual means to attain the governorship in 2015.
There is a seeming unification of the opposition, all aimed at stopping Governor Akpabio from producing a successor, that is alien to the socio-politics of the state, but is it possible for any of them to concede to another, taking their exhibited desperation into consideration?
As the traducers of Governor Akpabio grow in number, and strength, the first thing that agitate the mind of everyone is, why have these men, who once sang the songs of uncommon transformation, suddenly see the "vinegar" in it because they want to become governor?
Do these men possess the prerequisites to sustain the current development trend in the state? Is there any relationship between political hypocrisy and policy consistency? History will tell!

Religion / 80 Condemned To Death For Owning A Bible by proselector: 9:46pm On Nov 13, 2013
Eighty people have been executed by firing squad in North Korea – some for possessing the Bible and others for watching foreign films, it has been claimed.

South Korea’s JoongAng Ilbo newspaper reported that the co-ordinated public executions took place in seven separate cities earlier this month.

In one case, the local authorities rounded up 10,000 people, including children, and forced them to watch, it reported.

Those put to death were found guilty by the state of minor misdemeanors, including watching videos of South Korean television programmes or possessing a Bible.

Sources told the paper that witnesses saw eight people tied to stakes in the Shinpoong Stadium, in Kangwon Province, before having sacks placed over their heads and being executed by soldiers firing machineguns.

“I heard from the residents that they watched in terror as the corpses were so riddled by machinegun fire that they were hard to identify afterwards,” the source said, according to a report this morning in The Telegraph of Britain.

Relatives and friends of the victims were reportedly sent to prison camps, a tactic that North Korea frequently uses to dissuade anyone from breaking the law.

The report said that the mass executions could signal a broader crackdown on any hints of discontent among the population – and even rival groups in Pyongyang – against the rule of Kim Jong-un, who came to power after the death of his father in December 2011.

vizboy: ok guyz you.

We are all different so everybody has his or her own idea. But we have to work as a team.

And we shouldnt shoot a bird before he even get to fly.

Fact is nobody is paying any money yet. As for the business plan, every member has to do a feasibility study on any business idea of his or her choice.

After that we come together on the best business plan, we dont have to go with those of the op,we are a team and we should try and be one.

I wouldnt lie, I like the ops idea but we just have to thread softly.

As the op said let see if we can register these as a cooperation, then we can start talking about business plan before money even get in.

We have a long way to go.

thanks.. am happy my little idea is appreciated
