[quote author=Friedpotato post=102961714]I heard there were a lot of denials today.[/quote It was something else, if Americans don't want Nigerians again in there country I think they should tell us, almost everybody were denied
Davidkking: it shouldn't be a problem. Schools WRITE I20's differently

Rhonah: I'm sure if you take your time to go through the thread you'll see tons of them. That's why this thread is golden. All you have to do is take out time and read up different transcript and you can predict the possible questions you'd be asked.

ITEMS TO TAKE ALONG TO THE EMBASSY (F1) * I20 (Must) ( ensure it shows your funding if any) *Ds 160 confirmation(Must) *Appointment Confirmation(Must) *Original International passport (Must) (There's a machine to check it's authenticity so don't bother to go with fake) *Two or Four Passport photographs 2x2(Must) ( I'm not sure glasses are allowed in the passport) *Proof of admission or Admission letter ( Must but they don't ask most times) *Proof of funding ( Must, if you have one though) *If you'll be sponsored by your company then make sure you have a letter to attest to that and a leave of absence from work for the duration of your program. *Banks statement of your sponsor (Must, If you have a deficit >=$1) *GT Payment receipt (Must) *Sevis Payment Receipt (Must) *Undergraduate academic transcript (optional) *Undergraduate Certificate (optional) *Test scores( optional but they ask for it occasionally) And most importantly your CONFIDENCE. NB: REMEMBER this is the era of nose mask so you may have to be audible than usual so it doesn't depict fear or insincerity. * REMEMBER to maintain focus and ignore those guys asking you to re arrange your documents or photocopy your passport. The security guys vetting your documents at the first stage of your entrance would direct you on how to arrange them ( They have a very loud voice so don't worry you'll hear them when they speak). If there's anything you're not sure of, ask from people who looks like your age mate on the queue if they're for Student visa as well and ask questions. Note that some of them may not answer you cos they don't want to lose focus but most will answer you cos some of them are not new there and they know the drill already. *ALSO, Face what you're there for and ignore the vo rejecting all the people before you or around you. The grace we carry varies. *If you stutter, make it known to the VO before you start so you don't sound unprepared. Most times the VO just wants to see if you're sure of what you're going for. * Mantain eye contact with the VO throughout the interview ( it is human to be nervous but remember they are also human and most of them are actually friendly and just want to chat, the only difference is that you will be standing and answering questions for few minutes while they sit and ask the questions you answered in your ds 160. * REMEMBER to practice as many times as possible, that is where you get the confidence to talk better and genuinely. If you have someone to practice with, that's fine and if you don't, Talk to your mirror and rate yourself. *Also, remember to take money along cos they won't keep your phones for free but if you can drop it back home then that's better * Yes, you should dress well, whatever regalia you wear make sure it is neat and smart. * And also, remember the gestures on your face during the interview can't be seen cos of the nose mask so the VO can't tell when you're laughing or actually exclaiming "Ha" like my yoruba people so you should work more on sounds and hand gestures if it makes you more comfortable bearing in mind these people just wants to chat with me. *Lastly, remember to pray to whatever you believe in.
[/quot Thank you very much, please we will appreciate of you could please help us with questions especially the compulsory ones so that we can practice more Thanks
Mayokunudo: Number 1 you are a high school teacher, why will your dad want to sponsor an high school teacher?? Why will he want to spend to much on a high school teacher?? When you finish your masters degree will you still be a teacher?? Number 2 I think your Dads business is not really a business the vo thinks can sponsor you. Most times the it is good to package your self before you go for an interview. I felt your graduate assistantship would have helped you get the visa but you sounded like an intending immigrant.
I think you should make out time and practice more , your answers are very poor
Asiwaju101: Pls oooo, Are people pursuing undergraduate degree not in this platform, most transcript here are for masters students, is it that undergraduate students don’t get visas?
Pls if there’s any undergraduate transcript pls share
abiodun2003k: I want to book an interview appointment what's the best time of the day to do that I have been trying over a month saying no appointment curriently available
Please i need help I am about to submit my DS 160 , please how do I go about in booking and paying for visa fee Thanks
Candboy: my friend, if u are a recent graduate, that wont be a problem. But if u have graduated for long, ill suggest you dont put unemployed o, it simply shows u want to japa. my 2 cent though.
That is the area I am looking at cos it has been long...... I graduated they might see me as someone that is unproductive.
customised87: It looks like you are filling the part where it’s asking if you made concrete plans and you answered yes, that’s the only place you could be asked for date of arrival and date of departure. If this is correct, you do not have to answer yes to that part.
Also about the employment, hope you would be able to defend yourself if you are asked for the proof of the business you want to claim?
Yes it is that part About the employment I want to state that I do online business cos I know that they may ask for proof.
I also have another question to ask, there is a column for employment status like what you do for a living , am not employed at the moment can I click not employed will it affect my chances of visa approval or should I look for one business Name and give them and tell them that I do biz?
Am also filling DS 160 but I am a little bit confused I don't have national ID card can I click do not apply, another thing is date of departure my program is ending in may 7 2025 which date can I put as date of departure
Punkydude: Even Americans living in America dey struggle to afford am self. That is why they have student loans....You need a serious sponsor to do your Msc in USA.
NwadiNK: Yes, it's our currency under this regime. I remember in 2015, euro exchanged at 276 /euro. If u do the maths, 10,521 euro now wouldn't have been upto 3 million naira. So all those that supported this administration, I hope they are enjoying right now.
Am telling you if u succeed in traveling out what is 5 million, naira is rubbish.
Punkydude: I never start the process sha. But am not encouraged to do anything. I dey even reason that money wey i wan give Uniassist self. The morale is low fah. I need to see how fast i can make and change my decisions. 5m is a lot of money to try something else...
I have removed by mind from that despite that I have paid acceptance fee but when am through i will collect my money back I have gotten admission in USA but the tuition fee a semester is suicide millions of naira so don't look at the 5m our currency doesn't have value look for another country and apply am so sure u will make more than that in nice foreign country.
Punkydude: Guys, so if the Cat B Visa thing no work, how long does it take for them to refund your blocked funds.(plus are they taking some part of the money as charges)
Am doing some plus and minus....and to be honest, this CAT B thing is by God's grace.....
Hahahahahahaha this is funny not only you my dear my own is 5 months now
Immafrank: The issue with appointment at the German Mission Nigeria was not influenced by Nigerians studying here or whatever you might have heard. Fact check, Nigerians aren’t even the highest percentage of students here, also as a student, you are allowed to work 120 full days (6 months full time) and 240 half days (1 year part time- 20 hrs a week). If you exceed the limit which they can know via your taxes from work, you might have problem with your residency. The thing tire me oo
Appointments are available online in Ghana (both cat A and Cat B), Turkey, Cyprus, and some other African countries where students can choose their suitable dates from. The issue with Nigeria is because of the bad situation and governance resulting into citizens finding a way to move out and this is why Germany wants the best.! Why is Ghana not like this? Blame your irresponsible and wicked government and not Nigerian students in Germany.
By the way, this appointment issue is the same in Iran, Pakistan, India, Afghanistan, Iraq.
[I will advise those that wants to travel to Germany to change their mind cos the embassy is not giving appointment date nowadays quote author=OfficialDlh post=99403173]Is it worth it coming to Germany? | Find out. Right now you are considering moving to Germany either for study, work, or just relocation and that is why you searched for this video. You sure found the right one and I have answered your question. So let's jump into it and find out if it is worth coming to Germany.
Tokotaya: The US Department of State has announced that US visa applicants whose requests were denied under former President Donald Trump’s travel restriction can now seek new decisions or submit new applications.
Recall that President Trump placed a travel ban on travellers from 13 Muslim-dominated and African nations.
President Joe Biden overturned Trump’s travel ban on his first day in office, calling it “a stain on our national conscience,” and gave the State Department 45 days to come up with a plan that would allow individuals from the affected countries to have their US visa applications reconsidered.
Following a legal review, State Department spokesperson Ned Price said Monday that those whose immigrant visa applications received a final refusal on or after Jan. 20, 2020, due to Trump’s travel ban “may seek re-adjudication without resubmitting their application forms or paying any additional fees, provided the underlying visa petitions remain valid.”
Those who were refused visas prior to Jan. 20, 2020, “may also be reconsidered, but these individuals must submit new applications and pay a new application fee,” according to Price. An applicant’s previous denial under Trump’s travel ban will not be held against them.
However, Price said that those who were selected in the diversity visa lottery during the fiscal years of the Trump administration are still barred from being issued visas if they haven’t gotten them already, because “the deadlines for visa issuance in those fiscal years have expired.”

Students at the Adamawa state polytechnic in Yola were reportedly targeted by security forces who chased them down into their hostels and attacked them with cubs and cutlasses, injuring many innocent students preparing for exams.
