Back to the matter. There's nothing special, it's the same normal S/R things.

But here's what I know I did differently.

1. My focus was to just hit $20 - 25 per bi-weekly. The extra $5 to $10 gives me a mental cushion for the next stage.

2. My target was to just be among the top 3.

3. I try as much as I can to keep my risk SL very low. There were times when I went overboard sha.

But the final stage, I felt I was under some kind of pressure, thank God it went well.

Apart from that nothing else.

I simply identify the pair direction on daily or weekly TF, and I use 1hr or 4hr for entry.

But I noticed some flaws I need to work on. I have also discovered some personal strengths which I never knew before

To everyone that made it to the semifinal, regardless of whether you made the goal of $15 or NOT, regardless of whether you made some small profits on top of the $100 capital or not. Here is my final resolution:

I will top the (2nd position: ₦32,000 and 3rd position: ₦18,000) with ₦10,000 to make it a sum of ₦60,000 and share equally amongst the 3. My major goals of coming up with this contest are:
1. To Show love.
2. Remember my goal No. 1
3. To challenge ourselves, our abilities and discover more about ourselves in this business.......this business is purely real.

First, to reiterate and clear the air, 1st prize is ₦50,400 and not 52k.

Second, All I see is you don't want someone next to you to receive just ₦400 less than you; I will now reward him the initial ₦32,000 as you have thought and will keep the remaining ₦18,000. Just note that never will I reward anyone who does not meet the goal and at the same time does not make a damn profit, rather blew account. So I will reward the only 1st runner up with ₦32,000 and keep the rest if that is what will make you happy, I'll do that.

That isnt the reason, my thiught was instead of giving out the 50k to someone who didnt even meet the target, its better u give whats due and share the rest with the two remaining semi finalist. As I always say, you have the final say. What you decide is final.

I have seen all suggestions and requests; but upon considering these, two things are paramount.

1. You must NOT have blown your contest account OR recorded a loss that ends up placing you below the contested equity; i.e.; you will not be rewarded if your equity is below the $100 contested capital, in other words, you never made a damn profit. Else, of what purpose was the contest in the first place.

2. We can only have runner-ups if and ONLY if prosperotrading meets the goal to become the first. No first, No runner up, No reward. All fates lie on him meeting the contest goal: make $15 on the current $172 in 2weeks.

Gods willing, if i hit the target in 2 weeks time, in got d reward (52k) and the 1st runner up gets 50k, doeent look fair on me that traded extra
2weeks in this holiday periiod.

Like i posted a picture yesterday that i tagged consistency. It is safe to conclude based on this contest that despite the fact that the possibilities in fx is unlimited, some performance can not b repeated consistently irrespective of your level of expertise.

Bro, from what I can understand from the box/table I think you shot yourself. when you achieved the desired $15 why didn't you stop trading until the next period? look at your balance $172 then minus $3! this makes you fall short of the target as the 3rd period was still on when you took the current open position.
when playing a game, try to pay attention to details. Sorry about the predicament.

Contest Update: Today is the last day of the 3rd Trading Period: 29/Nov/2020 --- 12/Dec/2020: No contestant qualifies for the next and final trading period which was supposed to start on this coming Monday.

As a result, the contest is closed and WITH NO WINNER.

Use this to reflect on your errors/mistakes and we could try again in 2021. The contest started with 15 contestants, dropped to 7 after the 1st 2weeks of trading, then dropped to 4 after the 2nd 2weeks of trading, now dropped to zero after the 3rd 2weeks of trading.

This is a fantastic question. In simple and clear terms, if you still feel the need to keep learning and tweaking your strategy, you are still a learner, pun intended (even if you're no longer blowing accounts).

Every successful trader will tell you that trading is boring. Why? They only repeat specific steps day in day out, year to year. Get a strategy, backtest it for 5-10 years, if it delivers good results (this is relative, but for people like us anything above 60% per year on average), forward test with real money for 2-3 years. That gives you over a decade of various market cycles. Any system that passes the test is good.

Don't forget to make a note of how different risk profiles affect the strategy. A strategy that will give you 350% a year but can go in 50-70% drawdown is useless. You will most likely crash that account when the drawdown hits. Reducing the risk to allow for a max 20-30% drawdown and making 100% per year on the other hand is a good way to ensure longevity. Some people with big capital (7 digits) will further reduce the risk to allow a max 10% drawdown and maybe 30-50% return per year. This explains why one trader can blow their account in one month while another trader using the same strategy keeps making money for decades non stop.

Make a note of the steps in the system and your ideal risk profile, then keep repeating it forever.

If you want to keep reading all the hipster forex strategies and techniques on the Internet in the name of gaining more knowledge, you're wasting your time. The teachers of the bulk of the so called knowledge don't have an account with a one year track record that hasn't blown up. Find what works, shut out everything else.

My answer goes against the grain of what the average person believes, but normal human psychology is why forex is hard for 99% of people anyway. Forex is different from other life scenarios where more learning improves expertise. In forex, more learning often means analysis paralysis or uncertainty in your mind.

If you haven't perfected a strategy, however, keep learning and keep looking for your own system.

let me tell you the easy way.

You have 5000 cent, which is $50.

let's assume you risk per trade is $2.5 which is 250 cent.

let's also assume your stop loss pips is 25 pips.

To get your lot size, simply divide the 250 by 25 Then divide the answer by 10 and you get your lot size.

e.g. 250/25=10
10/10= 1 lot
