If you want to do your NEBOSH in Lagos that will be great. there are many centers here in lagos. I did mine in Alausa Ikeja where i stay. I dont want to give names of centers. Note again that the price of NEBOSH depends on your bargaining power.If u can bargain, u can get it for like 260k or less. Where i did mine, with concrete discussion, U can just pay like 150k and then complete the rest after a reasonable time and this time can be after the exams.

Igweee! i greet you! i was really waiting to read the submission of Dr Dre Because he is the Igwe of Qatar ( just up graded) on this issue, but i assume he is thinking and waiting to take his time to respond.

From the highlighted portion of Dr Dre's old post you pasted you can feel a particular kind of body language!

(1) The cost of the 6 months visit visa to Qatar is 150k if acquired through the assistance of an Agent but on government rates can actually be by far cheaper! who knows maybe government fees could actually be 50k for the 6 months visit visa.
(2) am quite impressed with Dr Dre's analysis in number 3 above, but if actually a forumite came into Qatar with a tourist visa of 2 weeks @ 100 dollars or so and got a job, the issue of flight is removed as the man would just need to exit to dubai and return to Qatar with his new work visa aboard a bus, no 2nd flight expenses are involved.

The senerios am painting is what alternative we can make happen other than d sad old story of sombody duping another person, agent this, agent that! Abi una no dey tayar!

If u ask me i would prefer to deal physically with any issue i find in Qatar rather than deal with any agent in Nigeria. And who says on your arrival in Qatar u might not get a company to employ you and assist u preaper your work visa? And even if u have to exit u simply just exit to dubai and re enter qatar.
I rememberd when valantony arrived Dubai he got a job and afterwords his employers prepeard his work visa on his behalve and so tell me why it cannot happen in Qatar. Those already in Dubai and Qatar seem to find this analysis on workable i simply wonder why! There are instances of people that arrived in a new contry and succeded without knowing anybody, so why should your case be diffrent?

I can boldly say that Jammyng is a LIAR and its not to be trusted because he said he only advice on visa but his signature shows hes into VISA CONSULTATION. Well, finally, we are getting somewhere on the Qatar Visa issue. I am not disturbed, i am only sure that the solution to qatar visa must definitely come to light HERE on this forum and thats when i will pack my bag and bib farewell to naija. even if is going to be by december 2014, i will wait. still preparing myself in the areas that matters! My people i am still humbleoooo!

From the little research i had made from almost all the job sites posted here, i think the demand for fire fighters is high in the emirates. Fire fighting is also part safety, classified under emergency response as it is called in the oil and gas sector. I MUST CONTINUE TO SAY IT, THERE'S NOTHING LIKE UR SKILL. IF one can get a training on fire fighting up to OPITO STANDARD. this is the standard recognized internationally in the oil and gas ind.(though expensive)
To increase ones chances of getting a job there, i will advice one shld enrol in a practical fire fighting coures here in nija. courses like
1. basic fire fighting-BFF
2. advance fire fighting
3.industrial fire fighting
4.Helideck fire fighting- basically, this will take u to the rig
5 Helideck team member
6 Fire alarm systems operation
7 emergency response team member
8 helicopter landing officer course
9 Search and rescue team member
10 my hand is paining me.lol
Dont just travel to the emirates, prepare urself, get a skill.

Thank you Dr DRE and OGAKPATAKPATA. I respect u guys alot and other members too. actually, i run my haulage biz here in apapa after working for some time. i attended a seminar where the white man so much emphasised on safety so i decided to take it up since i have all the time to do so. i started with NEBOSH IGC then the lead auditor courses and others which i have passed but still waiting for the certificates to come. i was just writing any safety exam + trainings that i hear or read online. but now, i am interested in working again since Biz is on a slow speed.
i have read this thread from page 1 to 128 and i will start making plans to try Dubia first by next yr after ''season's'' biz and some exams i had already registred for. Thank you all and should anyone needs NEBOSH study materials, i can provide soft copy including several past questions. if that is allowed by my well respected mentors.
