Everyone in ondo state knows PRP... Its one of the first political party that brought democracy to the struggling country |
MY SINCERE APPRECIATIONS I hereby express my sincere appreciation to the National Leadership of our great party, the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), under the able Chairmanship of Mallam Falalu Bello OFR, the Ondo State Chapter of our party under the Chairmanship of Deac. Oladele Oluwasesan who also doubled as my running mate in the election, the entire membership of the Ondo State Executive Committee, LGA Leaders of the PRP, particularly Okitipupa Local Government as well as the leadership of Ward 1 and 2 Ode-Aye PRP for their unflinching support towards our party's struggles in the just concluded governorship election. Indeed, it was a clear demonstration of our resolve as a party that we expended available resources, and although with bruised ''bodies'' yet with our souls and names intact. The flag of the PRP flew clean from all forms of political blemishes. Worthy of appreciation also is the Ondo State Diaspora Organization, Europe, under the leadership of Gbemisola Bisi-Taiwo Esq, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) Ondo State Chapters, Civil Society Organizations, FACE the VOTERS Initiatives, Breeze 91.9FM, OSRC, Arise TV, and Student Union Constituencies for providing the platforms and the opportunities for us to interface with the good people of Ondo State during our governorship campaign. My immense gratitude goes to the King of Ode-Aye Kingdom, Oba Akinmusayo Akinlade - The Halu of Ode-Aye, High Chief Kayode Adebusoye - the Petu of Ode-Aye, head of the Alli family, Chief Israel Olorunfunmi Alli - The Juba of Ode-Aye, my ever supportive Parents - (Dr) and Mrs. Stephen Olaniji Alli, all Igorisha and Uyanoye family members home and abroad, and all my siblings for their supports, prayers and solidarities. Friends and business associates, Engr. Samuel Adebanjo of Gallant Systems, members of LASU Platform, all members of BFA Support Groups, Majemimaye Groups and all other campaign platforms for their tireless efforts at seeing to it that PRP made a good show at the election. I must not fail to appreciate my amiable wife, children and my brother, Rev. Emmanuel Abayomi, all of who bore with patience, my absenteeism and pressures, throughout the struggle. Lastly, my sincere appreciation goes to the people who gave their votes to the PRP, while resisting the allure of financial inducements that greeted the 2020 election with greater fervency than witnessed in the 2019 general elections. Indeed, you people are my hope that all is not lost for our dear State and Nation. While announcing the closure of all campaign-related platforms, please note that BFA VOLUNTEER GROUP (Otherwise called Majemimaye Forum), remains as a social-political group for fellowship, mutual assistance and continuous interface with the general public on issues of interests. Please note further, that the battle for the soul of our State and indeed that of our dear Nation just got more interesting, and may God give us victory. God bless Ondo State and the Federal Republic of Nigeria. PRP, Victory! Won o ni jewa m'aye o! Signed: BABATUNDE FRANCIS ALLI PRP Governorship Candidate Ondo 2020.

The candidate of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) in the just concluded Governorship Election, Babatunde Francis Alli (BFA) has called on Sunshiners, home and abroad as well as residents of Ondo State to begin critical thinking about the future of the State, describing last Saturday election as a contest between a 'noble yesterday' and an 'undefined tomorrow'. Babatunde who hosted the Executives of the PRP in Ward 1 and 2 Ode - Aye, in Okitipupa LGA, on Saturday night called on party faithfuls and indeed all ''Sunshiners to decide immediately whether to sustain dignity or embrace total ignominy''. Speaking further to journalists, after the supposed result of the election was announced by INEC on Sunday, the visibly disturbed Babatunde wondered how the state, which was known for its ''OMOLUWABI'' status, now celebrates loss of moral identity and still claim to have a future. ''As a people, we are not likely to have any form of social-political sanity left for our children if something is not done very urgently''. ''A situation where a vote in a governorship election now costs between N5,000.00 to N15,000.00 leaves nothing to be desired of a people in terms of an enviable tomorrow. It is a rape of peoples franchise and an invitation to a bleak future''. ''We weren't brought up to celebrate stolen mandates, it's not in our upbringing to rape, let alone moaning in it'' he added. He advised the people to begin critical rejigging of its collective values and advised those celebrating the gains of what he termed ''electoral depravity'', to remember that, ''although stolen bread is 'sweet' to the tongue, the mouth will not escape being filled with gravel''. Speaking on way forward, particularly with INEC, Babatunde said, ''One would think that e-voting may help curb vote buying, but legislative lapses seem to continually make victims of fraud, out of our electoral system''. On the performance of the PRP in the election. Babatunde said, ''Those who voted for the PRP did so on convictions, we paid no one a dime''. ''Those who sold their votes can now prepare to reap the fruits of their political ignobleness''. He expressed his sincere appreciation to those who stood their grounds and voted for convictions in the election.

ONDO 2020: CONGRATULATIONS, YOU’VE GOT FEWER OPTIONS LEFT - PRP Candidate tells residents. The Candidate of the People Redemption Party (PRP), Babatunde Alli had congratulated residents of Ondo State for having fewer Political Parties as options. Babatunde who received with satisfaction, the news of adoption of the APC and the PDP by 12 Political parties, declared Sunshiners, home and abroad, as the ultimate beneficiaries of such political collaboration. “Our people can now differentiate between the Clowns and the Real”. He said. It will be recalled that 12, out of the 17 Political Parties contesting election in Ondo State, on Monday, adopted the APC and the PDP as their platforms, but the PRP maintained its known stand in the politics of the Nation as the Political Party of the masses, “the voice of the voiceless”. He was particularly hard on the Social Democratic Party (SDP) for what he termed the “charade of shame” by their candidate, wondering how a political party can be adopting the PDP while the Candidate of the Party was at the same time, somewhere else, adopting the APC. “They should have saved INEC, and by inference, the nation from unnecessary expenses by not fielding candidates in the first place. They only made the atmosphere temporarily confusing, but I’m glad Sunshiners can now see the option they are left with, the PRP”. Babatunde said. “Ever wondered why INEC feel obligated to deregister Political Parties?, this is one of the unwritten reasons” He added. “In 1979, 4 other political parties (GNPP, NPP, NPN and UPN) contested election with the PRP but only our party remains till date and contesting in this election. We don’t need anybody to tell us that the old part, is the real part”. Babatunde further added. He advised party members and the entire state to look beyond partisan politics and vote out the APC while ensuring that the PDP does not return to power, describing them as the 2 sides of the same coin. Won o ni jewa m’aye o!, he, as a tradition concluded.

..... PRP Candidate tells Agboola Ajayi, ZLP Candidate. The Candidate of the Peoples Redemption Party, Babatunde Alli, today berated the candidate of the Zenith Labour Party, Agboola Ajayi for being insensitive to a basic need of the South Senatorial District with his attempt to lease campaign venue for a whooping sum of N11m. It will be recalled that Agboola Ajayi recently accused the State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, of frustrating his campaign with government's refusal to allow the ZLP, use the Democracy Park for its campaign flag-off. But Babatunde, who hails from the same senatorial zone with the ZLP Candidate, described the complain as mere ''whinning of a whipped puppy''. ''I believe strongly that the embattled Deputy Governor isn't fighting for the South but himself? What stops him from using any open field within the city? What stops him from holding senatorial rallies? Does the gathering in Akure alone amounts to electoral victory? Why is he making such a wasteful attempt when our people live in blackout for over 10 years? Babatunde queried. The PRP candidate, however promised the zone, full power supply once he assumes office. ''We will help our people secure meters on mortgage. The power distribution company will supply power for full coverage, once there's assurance for their investment. We will not hesitate to put necessary installations in place to make this happen''. He promised.

This is not needed.. PDP attacking APC.. Its a path to failure for them. As for my party PRP... We are winning the electioms in Oct 2020. Babatunde Alli for Governor.. VOTE ALLI VOTE PRP! |
VOTER APATHY DUE TO LACK OF CONFIDENCE IN THE RULING CLASS - PRP Governorship Candidate Candidate of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), Babatunde Alli has described the reason for general voter apathy in recent elections in the state as crises of confidence in the ruling class by the masses. Babatunde, who was a guest on a state-owned radio station, 96.5 FM, on Tuesday corrected the notion that voter apathy is due to lack of adequate awareness. Babatunde with increasing grassroot popularity, described voter apathy as a way of people expressing their distrust in the ruling class; '''How can you joyfully vote again when the last vote didn't count''? He recounted his growing says when the situation was different. ''Our fathers defy rain and sunshine to vote for a candidate of their choice without any form of inducement. The voting pattern then was basically on ideology'' . He explain that the PRP, being the only surviving party out of the 5 parties that contested election in 1979 still retains its ideological leaning, name and the key as the logo. ''This is one reason we remain the most consistent''. Babatunde said.

The candidate of the Peoples Redemption Party in the October 2020 Governorship Election, Babatunde Alli, had congratulated the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), for not losing irreparably in the fire that gutted Card Readers the night of Wednesday 10th October, 2020. Reacting to the fire, Babatunde said “it could have been without any political undertone” even as he believed that INEC would not have been blameless, if the fire had impacted negatively on the preparation for the election. Babatunde who attributed speculations of foul play by citizens to unreliable leadership said, “One of the misfortunes of wrong leadership, past and present, is loss of faith in practically every government-related events. If our leaders had been truthful to the citizens, there wouldn’t have been negative insinuations of wrongly doing on everything around elections” He however advised sunshiners not to quit being watchful. “We need, for the first time to do the best. Come out in large numbers to vote, avoid vote buying and selling as well as stand-up to anything that attempt to steal the votes”.

WE WONT EMBARRASS THE STATE WITH GOVERNOR/DEPUTY RIFT - PRP Deputy Governorship Candidate. The Deputy Governorship Candidate of the Peoples Redemption Party in the October 2020 Election, Deac. Oluwasesan Oladele has expressed concern over the rift between the state governor and his deputy, describing it as embarrassing to the state. He however accused political parties of unwittingly causing such unfortunate occurrences by granting wavers to people without long standing membership to contest on their platforms for mere financial gains to the parties. The former banker, in a chat with media correspondents at the party's office on Tuesday 10th October, 2020, described the continued crises at the State House of Assembly as needless and avoidable but consequent upon the rift between Governor Rotimi Akeredolu and his deputy, Agboola Ajayi. ''Imagine if the duo had been long-standing members of the APC before picking the joint ticket as governor and deputy in 2016''. He said. ''Until political parties stop giving money-induced wavers to politicians, we won't stop having such unnecessary distractions to peaceful governance''. ''Beyond that, a political party ought to have an ideology or tenets for which it is known, and without which even its flag bearers lack minimum standard by which they weigh themselves. The lack of this in political parties is the reason, even the State lawmakers abandon their duties today in further pursuit of impeachment and suspension projects''. Our state is obviously losing for this'' Oluwasesan regretted. He boasted that the PRP government, if given the mandate to lead the state, can never witness such distraction because the candidates of the party subscribe to its unambiguous ideological learning, long term membership, as well as commitment to the party's principles. ''We have clearly defined programmes encapsulated in our 5 Basis Principles for pursuit in power. People know what to expect in a PRP government, we are predictable and that is what separates us from the pack.'' He concluded by appealing to the good people of the State to vote the PRP for stability in government and unhindered development of the state.

SUV RAIN WONT WASH AWAY YOUR SINS - PRP Candidate tells APC Candidate. The candidate of the Peoples Redemption Party, Babatunde Alli has told the APC candidate, Arakunrin Akeredolu that his rain of sport utility vehicles SUVs will not wash away his political and administrative sins against the people of Ondo State. Reacting to Thursday's gifting of vehicles to State Legislators, LGA Chairmen and other leaders of thought, Babatunde described the act as an unintelligent politicking and wondered why non politicians, particularly religious leaders could receive such gift from a governor just when election is around the corner. ''The gift was meant to tannish the image of these religious leaders and I hope they realise it''. ''Is this an execution of proposed budgetary provision. What under heaven suddenly turned these toothless legislators, who could not successfully impeach a deputy governor, to brides of the governor. Where did his sudden empathy and humility come from? Babatunde asked. ''He's merely acting a movie and the state will pay for these ''Greek gifts'' if they allow it to sway their mind'', Babatunde warns.

ONDO 2020: DENYING THE OBVIOUS MAKES YOU PARTISAN - PRP Candidate tells Police PRO. The candidate of the PRP, Babatunde Alli had appealed to the governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu to use his office to protect all citizens alike, even as he chided the State Police PRO for denying the obvious. According to the candidate of the oldest political party in Nigeria, ''The Police PRO needed not denying the incident as that portrayed him as unprofessional and partisan''. ''Who was he protecting by such denial''? Babatunde queried. The candidate who was responding to police denial of Thursday's attack and siege on the Secretariat of the PRP in Owo, expressed no disappointment in the reported claim of the police PRO. ''I'm not disappointed in his claim. Who owns the police in the first place, but I know Nigerians will, one day have peoples police. ''The moment the police told Ajayi, the LG Chairman to stay behind at their A Division office in Owo, while purportedly going on arrest of the tugs that besieged the office, I knew something was amiss and I must thank the PPRO for not disappointing me. The only laughable claim of his, to me, is that ''he personally visited the place'', he didn't need such self-glorification''. Babatunde said. He recounted how the Owo A division policemen refused to follow the LGA Chairman to the scene until the State Chairman of the party called the PPRO. He however wondered how the PPRO, who promised to call Owo, suddenly developed wings and flew to the scene? ''I guess we have a superman in him''. Babatunde humoured. ''The governor is the Chief Security Officer of the state and I'll rather appeal to him than to the PPRO''. He concluded by asking why the police did not reprimand or even detain the Local Government Chairman, who also wrote a statement on record, for raising false alarm.

Report have reached the Oyemekun Road State Secretariat of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), Akure, that hoodlums loyal to the APC, overnight attacked the Owo Local Government Secretariat of the party located at No. 9, Onaola Street, Oke Ijebu, Owo and still laying siege at the Local Government Chairman’s House, which shares boundary with the Secretariat. The Local Government Chairman, Ajayi Abiodun Mobolaji, who narrowly escaped being killed is, at the time of this report, taking refuge at the Police Station (A Division Owo). The State Chairman, Deac. Oladele Oluwasesan, who reported the incidence to the Police, DSS and the Media asked relevant security agencies to ensure that the Local Government Chairman, who shares the same Ward and Polling Unit with the State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredu, is protected and without harm. He also called on the State Governor to as a matter of urgency call his overzealous loy

The Candidate of the Peoples Redemption Party, Babatunde Alli has wished the people of the state a happy new month and true victory in the forthcoming governorship election. Speaking through his media office, the candidate of the oldest political party in Nigeria, desperately wishes that Ondo State people will own their government. ''What we have all along is a government of few which has gradually become the government of a family'', Babatunde said. He declared that the only way out is for the people of the state to come out and vote for their conscience in the October 10 governorship election. If our state can record a cumulative vote of 1 million in a governorship election, then vote buying would have been greatly minimized, and the likelihood of the people electing their own governor would be achieved. The one we have now is definitely not a people governor. #PRParty

The problem today is that our governor is announcing the values we are getting from his government. Can you imagine ''Akara'' (beans cake) telling you how delicious it is? Its not yours to do bro, the customer can tell for themselves, Ondo State people can see for themselves. Only unwanted government do more publicity trying to win Second Term than it did to win the first. Won o in jewa m'aye o!!! - Babatunde Alli, PRP Governorship Candidate

VICTORIES FROM ONDO LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTION, “MOANING” OF A RAPIST - Babatunde Alli, Governorship Candidate of the PRP. The Candidate of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), Babatunde Alli this morning describes the euphoria that may envelope purported winners of the Local Government Election of Ondo State as mere “moaning” of rapists. Asked for his view about the chances of other participating political parties in the Election, Babatunde, whose growing grassroots popularity have recently worried known gladiators, queried why any people-oriented political party can participate in such a kangaroo election. “The APC government simply need foot soldiers for the coming governorship election and nothing more. Sunshiners should not allow this rapist of a government to impregnate the state again with “a government of the FATHER, by the WIFE and for the CHILDREN”, he added. He challenged anybody to provide evidence that Local Governments, which supposed to be the nearest to the grassroots, exist in Ondo State. “Can you maintain that Local Governments exist when students of Primary Schools can’t tell the name of their LGA Chairmen?” Babatunde queried. Recounting the events leading to the suit filed against the election at the High Court, the PRP Candidate narrated how his party wrote ODIEC, the State electoral umpire, to request for the notice of election that was announced on 28th July, 2020. According to him, ODIEC replied the letter by advising his party, to seek clarifications from the state chapter of Interparty Advisory Council (IPAC), a mere association of willing Political Parties. “This is how impugn the agencies of this administration are towards the simplest views of our people” He said. It will be recalled that PRP, on Thursday 20th August 2020, challenged the legality of the Local Government Election at the State High Court. Babatunde described the activities leading to the purported LGA election as “pre-arranged to help achieve selfish political interests. As to the victories the APC will announce through ODIEC, Babatunde said; “Let them ‘moan’ in shameful euphoria, that is what rapist do, but we shall heal from their social bruises. Ondo State will triumph at last”. He assured well-meaning Sunshiners that processes leading to proper grassroots representation shall be activated as soon as he assumes office as Governor of Ondo State. “We shall give our people true community based governance where representations shall not be on political party basis, but community based. Community Development Associations (CDAs) at Ward levels, shall be an integral part of our government and we shall through it, redress the injustices and rottenness in the Local Government administration of the State”. In his characteristic manner, he concluded by praying for the state; “Won o ni jewa m’aye o” Source: https://www.facebook.com/415138925970169/posts/775473649936693/

Tugs suspected to be working for the All Progressive Party (APC) today attacked the gathering of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) members at Shagari Village, Akure, Ondo State. The tugs numbering about 15 attacked the peace-loving PRP members while holding a ward meeting in preparation for the governorship election beside Ogo Oluwa Nursery and Primary School, at a remote part of Shagari estate in Akure. A motorcycle belonging to Mr. Monday Yekini, an official of the party was damaged in the attack. Eye witness account has it that the tugs must have mistaken the PRP members for rival political groups with which they have unleashed mayhem at some quarters, within the state over the local government election. Another eye witness report had it that it might have been in connection with the suit filed by the PRP against the planned local government election hurriedly slated for Saturday Aug 22, 2020. It will be recalled that the PRP, on Thursday 20th August, 2020 filed a suit at the Ondo State High Court, challenging the legality of the conduct of a Local Government Election with a notice the Party described as insufficient or stale. The governorship Candidate of the party, Mr. Babatunde Alli, who expressed disappointment at the unprovoked attack however appeal to PRP members across the State to maintain their calmness promising that the security operatives will be briefed. In his word, “it is rather disturbing that a party that claims to have control of government machineries will resort to brigandage against a peaceful, people-loving political party like the PRP”. He assured members that Ondo State people will not fail to vote out a wrong government, come October 2020, no matter the intimidation.
