Thanks bro, the follow up is on going, my boss was called also yesterday to confirm my details with them and how many months have not been paid.

I pray all this outstanding stipend palaver will be settled in this coming payment date God willing.

N.B : THOSE THAT HAVING OUTSTANDING STIPEND ISSUE SHOULD LET THEIR BOSS KNOW THAT SURE P CAN CALL AT ANY TIME, THEY SHOULD BE EXPECTING THEIR CALL.

Plz Guys this link http://gis-tool.wyesurep.gov.ng is not opening and today is the last day for the time sheet to be sent, kindly advice on what to do to mitigate against our stipend payment delay.

The issue of "why some interns do not get their stipend when it's due" is neither here nor there. It's a combination of mistakes from Employers, SURE-P GIS Staffs, Interns and the 'Process'. I am aware of verified cases where an Employer and respective intern completed the required procedures accurately and as stipulated, yet stipend did not arrive when due. Sincerely, there are lots of human error in the whole process. It's really hard to tell where the problem is coming from in generality, except when it's treated in individual basis. I do not know if the idea of awareness/campaign is a good or bad one. It may solve the immediate problem and the interns concerned may all receive their outstanding payment. However, an awareness will not stop the issue. may rather add pressure on the government as they are already struggling to continue the scheme. I will support whatever you lot decide to do. It should also be noted that the large share of the blame in this whole stipend saga should be placed firmly on the laps of those SURE-P GIS personnel. They make most of the mistakes that result in delay in the stipend payment, also, they can be very unprofessional with details. It's easier for interns in FCT, as they could go to the SURE-P GIS office to complain and get their issues resolved. Good luck to you guys on your campaign if you decide to go ahead. SURE-P GIS is on twitter, you may as well start from there.


NB: Those that still have some level of patience left in them, there is a strong possibility you will be paid your outstanding stipend next month.

And the best way to get what you deserve is trying to do all that's required of you. That's why I insist you find out the cause of your problem. Because there's no way some persons will be left out intentionally. Otherwise they won't keep matching interns day by day.

I simply advise you and anybody in your shoe to "carefully study" your SUREP account as well as your employer's registration and compliance very well in order to unravel what has been causing the delay in your stipend. That's what you guys need rather than unnecessary noise and a share display of your inability to follow the necessary procedure. For surely the fault is not from SUREP, and cannot be intentional if all from them.
I started this January and I got my pay simply because I made judicious use of all the info I tap from this thread. Same with many people. The portal is very friendly and yet many employer/interns still find it difficult!
