Crime › When Government Sponsors Criminals. by Psoul(op): 8:10am On Sep 23, 2025
"When the notorious armed robbers Lawrence Anini and Monday Osunbor who terrorised Benin city and its axis in mid 80s were arrested, the mobile police officer, Kayode Uaneroro who led the operation deemed it wise to shoot Anini on his leg to preserve his life, so as to give evidence against his supporters, funders, collaborators and conspirators.

It was through the mouth of Lawrence Anini that Nigerians later found out that a certain police officer, DSP George Iyamu was among their collaborators.

If Kayode had killed Anini the witness and material evidence the government needed to prosecute DSP George Iyamu would have been lost and you know what that portends.

This, sadly, is what happened with the alleged execution of Gentle the Yahoo, so as to not allow the successful prosecution of his collaborators both in and out of government.

The attached photo was Lawrence Anini being wheeled into the court during the trial of DSP George Iyamu. Second picture is Gentle The Yahoo.

It was DSP George Iyamu who used his police connection and position to provide weapons, information on escape routes and police cover for the armed robbers who terrorised the state for several months.

Anini's evidence in court led to the prosecution and eventual execution of DSP George Iyamu by the IBB government in 1987.

The news that Gentle the Yahoo, a terrorist who operated for several years in Imo State was eliminated silently is very suspicious especially when he repeatedly mentioned names of government officials who he claimed were his recruiters and collaborators.

To silently eliminate Gentle the Yahoo without constituting a board of inquiry to give way for holistic investigation and possibly bring his collaborators to justice is not justice but criminal conspiracy to evade justice for some privileged individuals who may be responsible for the avoidable loss of lives in the state for political reasons.

It is very sad that certain individuals who funded and supported Kabiru Sokoto in his murderous and criminal activities from Borno to Abuja are still in government today as policy makers and it appears that the same experience played out with the hasty killing of Gentle the Yahoo as cover up for certain government officials and individuals in the state.

It is not possible for Gentle the Yahoo and his groups to act alone for such period of time in a forest in Imo State while the state government act as if they didn't exist until citizens started mounting pressures on the utter hypocrisy of the security situation in the state.

This is not how to fight terror.

Fight against terror must be thorough, total and sweeping but it appears that some privileged collaborators are deemed to be untouchable at the moment.

How could security officers destroy the number 1 exhibit that could lead to further revelations and secrets behind his operation?

Why the so much haste in killing him, thus putting to an end so many questions he needed to answer alive?

Something does not smell right with the approach."

Family › Re: If Income Comes From Both Husband & Wife, The Two Must Do Chores Too - Lady Says by Psoul(m): 11:19am On Sep 17, 2025
Are all these necessary to be discussed?
I don't really understand us.
Seems like kids are getting married without understanding what marriage is all about.

Marriage is a place where you will willingly accept and make huge sacrifices, enjoy inconveniences which finally makes both partners live good and beautiful life.

Whether you brings money or not, try to do chores in the house to help each other.

What if you're the one bringing money and your partner stays at home and eventually, the partner became sick.
Will you still insist that the partner continue with the chores which his/her health will not let him/her do?

I wouldn't like my wife overwork herself while I sit and watch her cos I brings money.
The more stress she passes through, the more it affects her. I don't want her growing older than her she did to do many chores left for her alone to handle.

Sometimes, I'll just cook for her. I do her laundry. I do dishes.
I love that heave of relief and satisfaction I see on her face when she realized that I did those things for her.
I love the fun we share when I help her in the kitchen.

There's nothing big there. If you love your partner, you can do it happily. If brings a great bond and una segz go sweet ehhnnn..

I guess you have forgotten when you typed that, but I'm glad you've been able to understand that people with HIV can live long.

As for normal, if taking drugs makes someone abnormal then, abnormal people are more in number than normal people. Because it will shock you the amount of people depending on drugs to survive.
Oga you are shifting post. Our argument has always be in you saying that HIV patients live normal life.

It was in your last comment that you sneaked in long life in the argument.

See the marked lines. You can see how many times I mentioned long life. That showed that "normal life" is the center of the talk.
Prove me wrong by quoting one of more of my previous comments.

Stick to that and tell me what is Noel in living with HIV.
If you do much believe that with HIV, you'll still live normal life, why do you dread it?
If you by any chance noticed that a girl you're dating has it but you've not gotten it, will you still date her.

You are now changing mouth, from HIV to any disease.

Well I'm not preaching to you l, I'm just correcting the erroneous statement you made that people with HIV cannot live long.
That's false and should be corrected.
Oga, don't shift ground. Our argument has bn on you saying that people living with HIV can live normal life.
I told you that their morning normal in living with HIV.

Check all my responses, I'll always emphasize on morning normal in living with HIV.

The I was never arguing about how long they live. It was you that brought in that at last mentioning who you know that has lived with it for 20yrs. That was when I asked if that was long life.

Still displaying ignorance, the person in question is still alive and can live for another 30 years all things being equal, AIDS can't kill the person anymore as long as the person is on HAART.

If a thirty year old person lives with HIV for 50 years, is that not old age, life expectancy in Nigeria is not even up to 60.

Magic Johnson has been living with it for 33 years too.

Cure your ignorance HIV even takes up to 10 years to manifest without medication.

There are diseases that can kill you faster than HIV and people are using medication for them too for the rest of their life deal with it.

We are not saying you should go and get Infected because there's is medication for it but shit happens and if it does, there's remedy.

Bottom line is, HIV can't kill anymore with the medication on ground unless the individual doesn't know.

Talking about normal life, only can define what's normal to you because right now, there is an injection that can be given to patients every 3 months and that's it, no pill or anything.

So how is the patient not living a normal life?
Oga preach all you could, I'll maintain that there's no normal life living with any sickness that you'll support your existence with medications.
I mean that kind of medications that when you stop taking, your existence will be in trouble.

Once you have medical issue that made medical doctors to give you lists of what to eat and not to eat, place you on daily, weekly or monthly medical drugs and tells how to engage in your social activities (most times, against your wish), you can't call that normal life.

Lol you are truly ignorant, I work in a health facility and I have seen people on medication for more than 20 years.

If you can make further research, you'll find out that HIV 2 which is more prevalent in West Africa can go without symptoms for more than 20 years without medications and I'm not kidding.

In fact many people can be living with HIV 2 right now and they may never find out till they die.
You're the ignorant one here.
You said you've seen them for 20yrs.
So, 20yrs is the long life your talking about?
So if a patient of 20yrs gets the virus and live with it for another 20yrs and die, that's long life.

Oga, what is normal life when someone has to be drug dependent all the days of his life?
What is normal life when you'll have to live in fear of tomorrow?
Oga, in an much as we will try to minimize the stigmatization or discrimination, the truth must be told. There's no normal life living as HIV/AIDS person.

It's this kind of downplaying that will make some ppl think that there's no danger there, "after all if I get it, I'll be taking my drugs and live a normal life."

There's no normal life there.

RetroviralS:
That used to be true back in the day, but its no longer that way. With ARVs, people living with HIV are living long, normal lives. I have seen it myself. The real problem now is stigma, not even the virus.
You've seen them live long...abi?
How old are you?
How old is the patient you know?
How long has the patient bn with the sickness?

That person you think is living a normal life is living in fear.
He/she will be scared to fall into anything that will take him/her to hospital especially when blood relate issue is involved.

There's nothing normal about HIV patients

I'll need about ₦1m for my 3 kids to go back to school. You must pay before they come close to the school gate.
If you can't pay, let them stay at home till you can pay.

While they are staying at home, they are missing text and assignments that will take 40% of continuous assessment.
If your child fails, she must repeat it leave the school.

Sacrifice we must make. God has always been doing it for us.

The man said he believed the wife told the children to frustrate him.
Oga, that is a llie. You may not have bn present in the lives of those children. So, you are finding it difficult to adapt to a life you are not used to.
Men should try as matter of responsibility be fully present in the life of their children.

Don't just believe that attending to children is only for your wife. Learn how to attend to them too. Learn how to do other chores even if you are the one providing everything for the family.
Be at peace with your wife. I keep wondering how someone will not be at peace with his/her partner. How do ppl cope with that. Trouble outside. When you comes back home, war in the house.

This reminds me of one of my colleagues in the office. This guy is working in a station outside the town his wife and children live. He will join office vehicle to go and visit his family only to divert to another place only him knows. The wife started complaining that her husband do not come back home. We told her that he's granted off every weekend to travel home and he has bn traveling. The wife said she had not seen him for weeks and he doesn't pick his calls.

When we spoke to the guy about the complaint from his wife, he started behaving as if we are interfering with his personal life. We told the wife to stop calling us but find a way to settle with her husband. The was was disappointed on hearing this.

Trust women, they will always have that plan that will throw you off balance.
One early morning, the wife came unannounced to the office with the 3 children.
Behold, the guy was sitting comfortably in the office premises with one of his office crush.
The will quietly met him their and told him that he just came to know if all is well with him as she has not seen him for a while.
She told the kids to stay with their father so that she will buy something and come back to take them back home.

Madam, left and travel back home, leaving the kids with her husband.
Guy man waited and did not see his wife, he called and the wife told him that he has traveled back home and that he should take care of his children.
Lol grin grin, Guy man ran mad instantly. He wanted to shout at her on the phone, she switched of the phone on him. He tried to call and got, "the number you are calling is currently switched off". He became confused and broke down in tears. He was humbled, humiliated and confused at the same time. He started crying.

You know what, he was living in the company guestroom with other staff. There is no how he can go to that place with the children.
How will he feed the children that afternoon and night. How will he get them prepared in the morning the next day and still come to work?
Will he come to work with them in the morning or leave them wherever he will take them to that night.
The more he think of these, the more tears roll down his cheeks grin grin

He summoned courage and met us and requested that we grant him off the next day to take the kids back home. He was granted that and immediately he left, he was put on transfer to our branch located in the town where his family resides.

It's so disheartening how a man will will be detached from his family.
