Gentledove2001:
Was he making these donations before, during, or after his time as governor of Anambra State? Or did all of this suddenly begin out of his desperation to become Nigeria’s president? Why does he always go around with a camera crew during these so-called donations?

Even the Bible says you shouldn’t let your left hand know what your right hand is doing if you do, then your motive is questionable. This man lacks strategy, and his Obidient noise-makers won’t advise him properly. He keeps focusing his eye-service donations on a particular zone one that holds the least electoral value all in a bid to attract sympathy. But he forgets that elections aren’t won with emotions, they are won with strategy.

In 2027, what I want to hear from Obi, Atiku, and Tinubu is not more promises about turning Nigeria into Bangladesh in two years, but what they’ve actually done. Obi should show us the world-class hospitals and schools he built as a governor not fake donations just to look good. Mr. Desperado needs to be called out.
Peter Obi has been known for making personal donations both before and after his tenure as Governor of Anambra State (2006–2014).
Below is a summary of documented evidence regarding his philanthropic activities:

Before Becoming Governor (Pre 2006)

Peter Obi was a successful businessman before entering politics. While specific detailed records of donations are not as widely documented before his governorship, there is credible evidence from public interviews and reports that:

He personally supported education and health initiatives through his private capacity.
He served on the boards of several companies, and was known to sponsor scholarships and aid to the Catholic Church, particularly in Anambra.

Example:

In several interviews, Peter Obi stated that he was already supporting mission schools and hospitals privately before becoming governor. In a 2022 interview with Channels TV, he mentioned:
"Even before I became governor, I was helping schools, especially mission schools with donations and support."

As Governor (2006–2014)

Although this question focuses on before and after his governorship, it is worth noting that during his time in office, Peter Obi directed government resources to mission schools and health institutions, but also continued personal donations.

He donated to over 1,000 schools, mostly through the government but often supplemented personally.

After Leaving Office (2014–2023)

Yes, Peter Obi has continued to make personal donations after leaving office. These acts are well documented and verifiable:
Education Support

2015–2021: Obi donated N100 million worth of computers and other educational materials to secondary schools across Nigeria. These were personal donations, not tied to any political office.

Source: Vanguard Nigeria, 2017

Hospital Donations

He made donations to Catholic and Anglican hospitals, including:

St. Charles Borromeo Hospital, Onitsha

Iyienu Mission Hospital, Ogidi

Our Lady of Lourdes, Ihiala

These were part of his post governorship philanthropy to improve health services.

COVID-19 Response

In 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, he made personal donations of cash and medical supplies to various hospitals and isolation centres.

Source: Punch, 2020

2021–2023 Campaign Period

Even during his 2023 presidential campaign, Peter Obi was seen making non-political donations, including:

Supporting displaced persons and IDPs (e.g., Benue State donations to flood victims and IDPs in 2022).

Supporting schools in Northern Nigeria and South-East through books and computers.

It all starts with the kind of partner you have and how your relationship is.
For me and my wife, to say it wouldn't be any problem at all cos we are more than husband and wife. We are like one person in two bodies. We can joke like friends. Play like siblings and all that.

She will just say; Haaaa.......Honey what did you eat. You mouth is smelling, abeg go and brush. If I take it as one of her jokes, she will be like. Honey, biko, I'm not joking. I don't want you to go out there and someone will come and say my Honey's mouth is smelling. By then I will know she is serious. I will then tell her, oya, come let's go to the bathroom so that you can help me squeeze out paste for me. We will go and do it together.

After that she will be like oya open your mouth and blow breeze let me check if it is still smelling. I will tell her to come closer. Immediately she brings her face close, I will give her a slight bite on that her long pointed nose and run.
The chase may lead to another thing in the bedroom grin grin grin grin

In the same manner, I will not find it hard to tell her if I noticed that her mouth has gotten unfavourable smell

Sports › Re: Super Falcons’ Victory Sparks Protest: Morocco Petitions CAF by Psoul(m): 2:12pm On Jul 30, 2025
robosky02:
Renowned/Award winning FIFA referee, Salima Mukansanga, was in charge of VAR last night in the WAFCON final match between host country, Morocco vs Nigeria.

Salima is not the type of referee to overlook just any act, much less in a more crucial game like the final match of the just concluded tournament.

About VAR cancelling the penalty, the center referee, no offence, did a marvelous job with the officiating and was fair with both sides, but what she had seen as handball, was in deed not handball.

Now let me state the handball rules in football.

“According to latest IFAB handball rules of FIFA, if the ball touches a player’s hand while the hand is vertical/parallel and behind the player’s trunk, it will not count as a penalty.

Another reason why that call was void by VAR, was because the Moroccan player was too close to the Nigerian player, hence it counted as a hand to ball instead of ball to hand.

Look at this photo clearly. It would only take en experienced referee to make a decision, and this was where Salima Mukansanga showed her prowess.

Thank you Salima for making the right call.
We’ve also known you to be fair and just.🤝
That was not even the main reason.
Here is the reason. If a player is standing on the ground with his/her two arms outside his body and the ball touches his/her body, it is foul (penalty if inside his/her side 18yrd box). If the player's arms are placed behind his/her back and the ball still touches it, it is not foul. This is because the players has no other option to move his/her arms to avoid the ball from touching him. So the touch was totally unintentional and unavoidable.

Then, if a player is in aerial position, to maintain balance, it is allowable for his/her hands to spread up to 30 to 60 degrees outside his/her body.
Once the player's legs are off the ground, any ball that touches his/her hands withing that 30 to 60 degrees spread is not foul.

It will be foul if the player spread his/her hands too wide outside his/her body and the ball touche any of the hands. It is foul if the player raised his/her hands above his head and the ball touches his hand.

A player can't jump up and place his/her hand behind. Such a player will not maintain good aerial balance.

The player's two legs were off the ground and that cannot be counted as hand ball.

So the decision of the VAR referees was correct.

This man should please stop disgracing himself.
How would he want to agree that that ball should be awarded as a penalty.
That means he does not even understand FIFA football rules.

Oga, if a player is standing on the ground with his/her two arms outside his body and the ball touches his/her body, it is foul (penalty if inside his/her side 18yrd box). If the player's arms are placed behind his/her back and the ball still touches it, it is not foul. A player can't jump up and place his/her hand behind. Such a player will not maintain good aerial balance.

So the decision of the VAR referees was correct.

I introduced this guy to her in 2022. A year after he travelled to Canada 🇨🇦 on an express entry visa. I had interest in him before I introduced him to my friend tho I never told him the because he always talk about how he loves women with big ass, big this big that..so I knew I didn’t have a chance there. We were just cool and since he didn’t signify any interest in me, I play low.

So when he met my friend, she started doing too much around him, ask me if he can collect his number since I told her we were not dating, I said yes even when I didn’t like the idea.

Now they already broke up since he was in Canada and he stopped talking to her. She also told me how he’s very arrogant and all this all that.

So, now me and the guy were trying to rekindle our lost connection and I made it known to him that I actually have interest in him. He was okay with this. And it’s something I’ll be willing to explore if he came to Nigeria later this year.

My friend saw his message on my phone the other day when she was checking stuffs on my phone. He curiosity got the worst of her and she read through our iMessage chats. Since then she’s been refusing to talk to me. She talked to our other friends and no one listen to my side or the story.

Politics › Re: You Can’t Rename A Legacy - Charly Boy Faults Renaming Of Lagos Bus Stop by Psoul(m): 4:14pm On Jul 27, 2025
ElevationD:
Most youths here do not have the faintest idea of how that name of that bus stop came about. Originally, it was called Second Pedro busstop in the eighties and nineties. Charly Boy built his house at that junction and at that period there houses there were far between. His house was very prominent, very exposed and everyone passing would notice the house easily. Added to that was his bike, which he displayed at the front, beautifying the place and drawing the attention of people. His house was the place for movers and shakers of the society, in the military, politics, entertainment and music. When going to that area, it started with Charly boy house. It became popular and then the bus and Okada drivers, residents in area started the name Charly boy bus stop, identifying with Charly boy, who was fighting and defending the people of Bariga, Pedro and Gbagada then. I think eventually the local government recognized the name Charly boy bus stop. He also owns a house in Abuja and it is prominent too, added to several other properties that he has. He’s in the property business. That house became the symbol of Charly boy. I will not be surprised if one person one day decides to revoke his C of O and pull down the house, claiming right of way.

It was too petty of the outgoing local government chairman, who probably was in school when Charly boy started living there. Charly boy has resided in that house for close to 40 years or more. It simply showed insecurity, fear and the clear issue of tribalism ongoing in Nigeria.

How the intend to erase the name in the minds of the people is what we are waiting to see.
Those changes in the street names shows height hatred, tribalism and jealousy that is well known about the people of that region.

They will keep claiming that the Igbos are not respecting their hosts and all other stereotype BS just to paint the Igbos bad.

If the Igbos do not respect their host, how come they were able to live so these long years and helping the host communities and even buying lands in those communities.

The fact that the politician, who out of selfish interest brought about the hated and division is hidden by tagging Igbos aggressive.
That division was easy to grow within that region cos ppl from that region are will known right from time as bn tribalistic.

The fact will remain that the Igbos are the holder of the peaceful co-existence of the people of Nigeria. Remove the Igbos, Nigeria will be a desolate place and uninhabitable. Take it or leave it.
And if Nigeria is to progress beyond what she is today, it must start from the Igbo tribe. The Igbos are the light bearers of this nation.

Let them keep changing street names instead of changing their mindset.
You can change the name of the streets, but the legacy lives in the heart of the people.

Even in the next 10 years, you'll still hear ppl calling the bus stops work their original names.

Igbos are focusing on more tangible progress and not common street names.
We are unstoppable.

This is what happens when missionary schools employ people without a sound background in education.

How are you asking a child in nursery two to list hospital tools for you? Or to mention types of religion? Nursery two! This is absurd.

I have long had reservations regarding the quality and standard of this particular school in question. The school has no culture of excellence and is staffed by absolute mediocres. Needless to say, my son will not continue in that school again.
Madam, know it that maturity age has really dropped. Children of 3 years old are already doing great in education.
