Embattled Kogi lawmaker in the National Assembly, Senator Dino Melaye, is presently trapped in the Federal Capital Territory High Court, Maitama.

According to Blueprint, the Senator who represents Kogi West Senatorial district, was today arraigned in the Federal High Court following a suit against him by the Federal government over alleged false assassination claims.


The road leading to the high court is presently barricaded by heavily armed personnel of the Special Anti robbery squad (SARS).

The court premises has also been sealed off, as all attempts to gain entry proved abortive.

Our reporter also gathered from sources locked in the premises of the court that the SARS operative have been given a directive to arrest the lawmaker if he makes any move to exit the federal high court.

It was gathered that the security personnel were dispatched from Lagos.


However, Melaye said in a tweet from inside the court building that Governor Yahaya Bello, his state governor and political rival, was responsible for his latest ordeal.

“After the court refused the application of the Federal Government to refuse me bail. Governor Yahaya Bello is using SARS and policemen from Kogi State Government house, Lokoja, who have taken over the FCT high Court to arrest and poison me on the way to Lokoja.

“You will recall that I alerted the nation 2 weeks ago that plans have been perfected to frame me up with fake charges by Kogi State Govt. my resolve is total. I shall not be intimidated. I will continue to speak the truth,” Melaye tweeted.

Meanwhile, a spokesperson to the governor, Gbenga Olorunpomi, denied the allegation, Thursday night.

"Reasons adduced"? The House were itched that none of the two Ministers could deems it fit to personally sign the letter and their reply only sent the same day they were required to attend. Whereas The Hon Speaker personally signed the invitation and it was delivered to them 2weeks ago.

Between 2017 and now I've bought five units of universal modem. This last one was bought in October but just last sunday it has refsed to connect to a network. I have tried the 3 telcos(MTN, Glo, Airtel) but none of them is connecting.

It will load and while trying to authenticate will return to disconnected. I am afraid i am losing this one also because this is exactly how the previous units used to behave. I have restarted the system severally, change usb port, uninstall the package and reinstall, and lots more actions to no avail.

Any solution to the problem or am I to buy a new one?

I think our president is wrong though it will be disastrous for him to admit the report by TI. The same stats are being hulled out by our own NBS only that the President is too busy with the 'fight against Corruption' that he is not paying attention to them and does not seek counsel from experts on how to tackle or manage the figures.
