Sony executives confirmed during an earnings call that the paid service has racked up 7.9 million members.

The firm didn’t say how many out of those are PS4 owners, however earlier this year Sony CEO Kaz Hirai said exactly half of all PS4 owners had a subscription.

With Sony having sold around 14 million of the next-gen consoles to date, it means around 7 million have paid for the service.

That’s a huge figure, although unlike the PS3, online multiplayer isn’t free on the PS4 so it’s no wonder the new console has sold more subscriptions.

On top of online access, members also get an assortment of free downloadable games, discounts and cloud storage for game saves.

Sony also revealed during the business call that it plans to bring the PlayStation platform to China at some point in 2015.

The firm is apparently taking a "cautious, step-by-step" approach to releasing its consoles in the country, due to its various regulatory complications.

Games consoles were banned in China in 2000, until the ban was lifted in September 2013.

Job Purpose:

Ensure optimal organisation structure, change management, and learning and development to achieve Seven Energy's business objectives.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Organisation Design/ Development (OD).
Manage organisational chart updates and version controls.
Maintain up-to-date profiling of all jobs across the organisation.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
5 - 7 years relevant work experience in a cross-border organisation, preferably within the oil and gas industry, covering talent management, learning and development and OD.
Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Power Point, Visio/equivalent).
Consulting and/or HR Business Partnering experience would be an added advantage.
First Degree in related discipline.
A certification from of a recognized HR body such as CIPD/SHRM/CIPM.

While iPhone 6 rumours are thin on the ground, Samsung already set to launch the new Galaxy S5 and a new Galaxy Gear 2 smart watch

The Samsung Galaxy S5 and Samsung Galaxy Gear 2 will both have a release date of April 2014, according to a Samsung executive who spoke to Bloomberg this week.

Speaking to the publication Samsung Mobile executive vice president Lee Young Hee confirmed that the S5 was on course to be released around the same time as the Galaxy S4 was launched last year.

She then went on to confirm that the S5 would probably feature a bold design departure from the S4 saying, "for the S5, we will go back to the basics. Mostly, it’s about the display and the feel of the cover."

When asked why, she revealed there was a feeling within the company that consumer reception to the S4 was muted because it didn't really feel like much of an upgrade over the S3.

Talking about the Galaxy Gear 2 Young also confirmed that there would be a new model launching alongside that would improve on the 'bulky' design of the original Samsung Galaxy Gear.
