GloriousGbola: Yawns
Way way Back in the day I was buying those 10 in 1 dvds. The movie on the disc is downgraded to complete shit. You finish a classic 8.0 movie wondering what all the fuss was about.
Even further back I used to rush the cinema dubs on VHS. My guys were at my place one night to watch the lost world. We all agreed it was a shit movie. Unanimously. A year later I got a proper VHS copy and was blown away, so much so that I called one of my guys to rewatch. Dude was like that lousy movie. And I was like - just trust me.
If you want to lie to yourself that a low quality rip or cinema dub will not take anything quality of a movie, you do you.
On the other side of the spectrum Tom cruise and movie companies are advising people with 4k TVs on how to stop all that smoothing that leads to the soap opera effect, which can also ruin movies for viewers.
But hey, a movie in 280p is just the same as a movie in 1080p even of it is on an HD screen Bro you spitting Faxxxxxxx |

WWE SMACKDOWN REVIEWS RECAPS AND REACTIONS
The Sheamus/Drew McIntyre story has been a pretty damn good one when taken all together, and they were smart to lean on that to kick off Friday Night SmackDown this week in Hartford. The Bloodline is a heel group, sure, but there are a lot of reasons to like them too. The Brawling Brutes have worked heel quite a bit and they need some cohesion to believe in them at all in a match like this. To that end, having McIntyre and Sheamus reestablish the bond they’ve long shared — lean right on into the whole brothers thing — worked well to do just that. They wouldn’t reveal the fifth member of the team, not at first. Instead, Sheamus told Sami Zayn it would be the last person he would expect, something that seemed to indicate Kevin Owens would indeed be the guy. But what of all those reports of a knee injury? Perhaps overblown? Maybe not as bad as previously believed? After a tease like they would leave it a mystery, we got our answer in the main event of the show. Shortly after Zayn lost to BUTCH in the quarterfinals of the SmackDown World Cup tournament, a melee broke out when Roman Reigns finally made his presence felt. He laid out the entire opposing force, even the likes of Drew McIntyre and Sheamus. And that’s when Owens’ music hit, to a thunderous ovation. He will indeed be the fifth member of the team. This is fantastic not just because he’s so great at times like this but because it creates that much more intrigue in the match beyond the physical toll it will take on its participants. There may come a time when Zayn is forced to choose between Owens, who has been there forever, and The Bloodline, who have never fully accepted him (at least not all its members). Can’t wait.
All the rest -They told a good story with the Ricochet vs. Mustafa Ali match. That beatdown from Bobby Lashley served its purpose, as Ali was simply too injured to overcome against a talented wrestler like Ricochet. This was as good a way to do this as any, with Ali forced to fill in for Rey Mysterio. The match was great too!
-Emma is smitten with Madcap Moss, and boy does it come across on television. Helps that it’s real! She was there to give him some advice for dealing with Karrion Kross. She told him to just use his speed, because he’s faster. It didn’t work out for him, as he was still choked out and lost the match. Emma checked on him after, but Kross has firmly established he’s above all this.
-Bray Wyatt was back again this week to apologize to LA Knight, who he headbutted last week when he let his bad side get the best of him. He was here to make amends for that this week. But LA Knight was never going to just accept an apology, so he hauled off and slapped him. Wyatt was prepared to accept that, and then Knight slapped him again. Bray seemed to quite literally transform in the ring, his eyes going dead, glowing red, the demons inside winning him over. Using Knight to advance this story worked perfectly here. Later, Wyatt was shown in the background of a Karrion Kross/Usos chat appearing to argue with someone. But no one else was there. Later still, Wyatt’s newest mask flashed in the dark background as Knight was trying to leave the building. He was shown laid out a short time later. Wyatt is losing the fight with himself, folks!
-Shotzi scored a roll up victory over Shayna Baszler after Raquel Rodriguez came out to even the odds, what with Ronda Rousey causing trouble ringside. It might just be me but it felt like more of a win for Rodriguez than it did for Shotzi.
-The New Day recruited Braun Strowman for a six-man tag team match against Imperium after a backstage verbal confrontation led to the promise of an in-ring physical one. The babyface side won in baffling fashion — Strowman quite literally scared GUNTHER away. He was about to break up the winning pin but the mere sight of a hard charging Braun was enough to send him running out of the ring. I get that the idea is to put Strowman over in that no one has ever made GUNTHER respond that way, but it’s so over the top it makes the Intercontinental champion look awful. That’s just not the GUNTHER we’ve known and enjoyed for so long now. It seemed to telegraph the SmackDown World Cup winner too, but we’ll see on that. Not a bad show.

abduleez1: Omo, I think say na only me grin.
That Thanagar arc is too sweet. We could easily make a big event movie with that arc without needing too much buildup or multiple films leading to that. That story is just too juicy. I'm thinking DC's lacking of a big event movie is affecting smaller solo projects, box office wise. If we get one Big event movie (not talking about JL) with some major characters, we could easily grow excitement for others yet to debut.
Thanagar storyline automatically gives us Star Wars level of lore without needing to rush a GL story. All still juicy is introducing a few Lanterns like Kilowog and maybe Hal.
I'm happy we're getting the Flash next year sha, so that builds hype for other upcoming solo projects.
If we no see big crossover events like this before anytime they ready for JL and Secret Wars and Kang Dynasty come out. I fit shed tears. Make James Gunn come make us him personal advisers ASAP bruh...these ideas can't go to waste. |

abduleez1: Yeah. The Thanagarian version is the dopest and better suited for a cinematic universe. It's easy to make a movie off that lore. That Egyptian own no ginger me at all jare. It looked good with Vandal Savage but if that villain ain't appearing soon it's not so epic using that plotline.
Why I'm hoping it's Thanagarian version they made mention of Nth Metal. Although, I know the Egyptian version still has some exposure to Nth Metal. Omo you should see the way I grinned when he said that ship was Nth metal and indestructible from top to bottom ... With the Thanagarian version we'll get a larger universe, bigger spaceships and most importantly Green Lanterns too. |

abduleez1: I hear Hawkman might feature in more movies. Could get a solo project if fans are really interested. If we getting a Hawkman project it should be the Thanagarian war vs Rann. That shït is epic. Now that I remember, I don't think Hawkman's origin was stated in the Black Adam movie.
. I think they will use his Egyptian version, the one that reincarnates. Na only Amanda Waller go fit tell us. But I'd also prefer his Thanagarian version, I think that one would make for more spectacle unlike the Egyptian one wey go fit resemble mummy movie. |

Well for Namor he doesn't really need to interfere in the snap. So far e no affect him Kingdom. Dude also hates land dwellers and avoids them like flee so I don't see Atlanteans interfering. So if na me too, na when you start dey find something inside my territory I go fight you.

abduleez1: Why I go dey nitpicky for DC movie.
That boy voice and narration dey vex me from the beginning I hear the voice. I dey expect deep baritone voice for narration, na one small stupid pikin voice them give person. We've seen movies that starts with exposition but this one no be am. Not that the exposition is bad per se but the following acting sequences at that mine. That yeye triangle symbol sef, the way everybody just dey raise hand up like say dem mind control dem. Ppl wey dem don use slavery and hardship subdue for how many years, dem just start to dey gain confidence dey challenge Igwe at once just because of a small boy with an Ore?
The good thing about the film was the JSA. If not for them e for worse but yeah the film better pass Thor: Love and Thunder by a mile.
But if to say I go use my money watch this thing for cinema I go vex walahi. I just dey happy say e leak before this weekend. I want Hawkman in numerous other movies...
Unrelated Just clocked that Namor was alive during the snap but we no see am until people start dey find Vibranium for inside water |

TV/Movies › Re: What Movie Are You Watching Now? by pu7pl3(m): 8:17am On Nov 17, 2022 |
phr0nesis: 1. Dialogue was poor: Amon or his mother speaking felt cringy.
2. It was predictable: I never expected the twist about his origin but I could easily predict the villain (even though they were trying to hide it) 10 minutes into the movie. I knew Dr Fate would attempt to change his visions on his own even though it wouldn't favour him. After someone was locked up, I knew right away that just like our politicians, he wouldn't spend a day in custody
3. If he sits on the throne, he is going to unleash the army of hell. The army I expected vs what I got shocked my marrow. And what's up with that useless triangle hand gesture I get how you feel Amon might sound cringey too yea, I think he actually did most times too but...
The predictability was standard superhero stuff man and we've been oversaturated with those. You don't expect Thriller level of unpredictability here man and that CGI army had to be weak enough for the normal humans to fight you don't expect them to make them too strong na. |
TV/Movies › Re: What Movie Are You Watching Now? by pu7pl3(m): 8:11am On Nov 17, 2022 |
abduleez1: I might have started it almost the same way. Except this one felt rushed. The acting wack, the dialogue cringe, the writing watery, the pace was just at break neck speed. It just felt as if they were giving a documentary commentary without actually acting or enacting the film itself.
It had only fantastic visuals and action going for it. Tbh this film is way way low.
I no wan go into the tidbit details of the film if not e go be like say I hate am. Eg That opening scene where they found the mineral, started fighting for it, only to leave it simply as that as motivational speaker tell them "let's not fight between ourselves" and they leave the thing at once. That scene smells premium bullshìt. I burst out with a guffaw in that scene. I think that heavy exposition was quite necessary as they wanted to set the movie in the modern era... The part about the motivational speaker is just you nitpicking right now come on |

SOZINN: [s]
At first you said you didn't wanna argue again but I guess you made up some shit in your head again and mentioned me, now see the nonsense wey you dey cap up and down. Where I won start from dey address all this nonsense wey you write full mention, anyways let me see what I can do.
1. Jabari wood ain't shit talk, na you dey talk that nonsense. It wasn't just one website that I pulled the knowledge from. First of all, if you googled it you will see that all the websites on there are saying the same thing. But that's not even the main reason I took it up. That stuff you see me carrying around came from the mouth of Winston Duke the actor that played Mbaku (because I know you don't know shit). Fans who weren't familiar with comics wanted to know why the Jabari tribe who were the coolest in Wakanda were using weapons and armors made out of wood when Wakanda is so rich in vibranium. Mr Purple can you tell us? He said what I said as was written in the script of the first movie. I don't have to repeat myself you ain't worth it. This interview happened as far back as 2018, there's nobody out here tryna make stuff up four years later.
2. What has more screentime and making more money got do with beating Namor in a physical fight. Like seriously dude what the fûck. Is that a point. You are really stûpid o I swear. Or did you forget what we are arguing about.
3. Dude I admitted that Aquaman used the whale several times over. I also stated severally in my past mentions that Aquaman can always call the fishes to save his ass and that's facts. I knew the stuff was still gonna come back to summoning tons of fishes and shit you just don't fuckîng read. But remember that in my very first mention I asked "and how will Aquaman be able to beat namor" and you answered "with his bare hands wtf" and that's where I took shît up. Simple.
4. Aquaman has a wider range of powers yen yen yen.
5. Honestly this one has me thinking, either you didn't watch Wakanda Forever or you are so stûpid that something that was explained in details missed your dûmb skull and I'm gonna go with the second option. Go back and read my previous mentions to know how shuri managed to win Namor. At one point in the movie Mbaku said he's as strong as the hulk and shuri admitted he's too fast. After all Batman did beat Superman with fûcking kryptonite does that mean that Superman's powers scale does not exceed his own or does that make superman some weak @ss sucker? We talking about someone that used technology to weaken Namor before she even threw the first punch so just shove that shit up your @ss already for fûck sake.
6. I can post the editor's comments from the websites but I won't. Your stûpid àss is just gonna call it fan theories again. You really can't tell the difference between anything. There ain't many sources out here keeping scans of comics of over 60 years old. But I just wanna ask, in that edition that you read where Aquaman fought with Namor and won, why was there even a fight? Why didn't he just mind control the dude when he arrived? You dey cap bûllshit dude that shit ain't possible you dûmb fuçk. [/s] Trash.... You still ended up doing the same thing you've been doing for 2 days now... typing rubbish without any canon proof. Atleast youve toned down on the smiley faces. You're out of your depth here. You know jack shiit about these characters and you're too dense to admit it. Now I'll truly leave you and your density. Goodmorning. |

SOZINN:
No dey vex my man. It's nothing to be angry about. I dey carpet your stûpidity for you on a platter you con dey resort to insults. E no reach like that boss The information I gave you about jabari wood was in the script of the first Black Panther movie and was still expressed in the movie but you were too stûpid to notice it, it's not my fault that simple stuffs that you should notice fly over your head when you are watching a movie. Even in the comics the strength of Jabari wood is still expressed there. You are incredibly stûpid that's why you are just making stuff up in your head and posting it and when I face you with facts you say na lie.
I equally told you what the director said who also happens to be one of the script writers of the movie. You said we are both high. Then you that is making stuff up in your head is in your right senses. Talking about Aquaman mind controlling Namor and shit. Now you are crying behind your screen, hurling insults and shouting fan theories up and down. Word of mouth from the script writer is not legit source. Kpele o If you were sensible enough you would have brought Aquaman's feats to the table but make I hear say you know anything about what Aquaman has achieved. You dûmb fuçk wey no fit read two lines. You're the fool littering your gibberish write ups with distracting smiley faces after every punctuation and you think it'll decieve anyone into believing you're making any sense?
I didn't want to drag this on but let's talk facts... You said Coogler said Namor can be as strong as Thor and Hulk when he is in the water, man was in the water before 400yrs and couldn't still beat a rookie in a Vibranium suit. Who directed all of that? Wasn't it the same fvcking Coogler? Are you going by what he said or by what you saw??
You said Aquaman made Namor have a headache when he tried to mind control him in the comics, fine, where are the scans? You can't show em. You also shamelessly admitted after searching Google that Aquaman still won that fight, Aquaman has a wider range of powers and can also control all sea life/creatures, has better feats, has alot more screen time and has made more money. Basically, In your own words Aquaman is superior to Namor but you're still out here contradicting yourself at every turn.
The Jabari wood silly talk was when I knew you were really out of your depth. I'm sure you've never even seen a comic book in real life talk more of reading one, you just go on Google and click on the first link that pops up and then claim you've done "research" and come here to talk like you know these characters, talmbout "facts" Then you claim the high ground like I was the one that started insulting you first. The only facts here is that you really are a foolish boy and you know it. |
