It wouldn't hurt OP to email and ask. I was in a fix then, as the dates I saw meant that I would miss the class trip; I emailed and got a reply. I used one of the agents on the list and got my visa in time for the trip.

If I had not emailed the VAC, I would not have known that they had accredited agents that submit applications on behalf of individuals and had the opportunity to do this at desired dates. In addition, I was at the Ankara VSF (Turkey) recently and again met a few of these agents with applications to submit on behalf of individuals.

In Nigeria, they might have, and it's also possible that the French embassy in Nigeria does not allow VSF in Nigeria to do this, but the only way OP can find out is to email or call VSF and ask. Worst case scenario, it would be that they do not have.

P.S these agencies charge a premium fee though as at then in 2018 I think I paid 200 quid. But they help you fill out the form, arrange your documents and submit them. I just came to the VAC on a convenient day gave my fingerprints and left. When your passport comes out they will pick it up for you. They do not guarantee visa approval though.

Yes, there are embassy-approved agents or should I say visa application, centre-approved agents, and they can get earlier dates for appointments. For example, my first ever Schengen visa was for a class trip to France; I could not get an appointment date; I reached out to the embassy, and they shared a list of travel agents through which I could apply.

I have at least witnessed this in London and Ankara. They are agents that the VAC at least recognises, and they can get earlier dates and submit applications on behalf of applicants.

P.S So I just checked my email and found the initial email I got. It's actually from the VAC, and it clearly states that the embassy accredits the agents.

I wonder oo embassy no dey do agent for appointment it written clearly at vfs do not patronize agent or tout let me careful

Well number of approved stay is 30 days and im going to spend 9 days and return to Nigeria. The visa is multiple which means i can go as many times within the validity but not exceed 30 days at each trip.

Good morning my people. i am a silent reader on this platform. I received my processed passport yesterday with a 3 month visa validity. I applied for 1 month business visa to France and i did 1 month travel insurance for the application to my surpirise i receive my visa with 3 months validity.

i applied last week wednesday and got returned mail this wednesday. thanks for everybody keep the fllag flying.

My experience at Alausa office (I did DIY plus fast track, total amount spent was less than 40k)

I want to start by saying the Alausa office are very effective in carrying out their duties. I really appreciate them for that. Let me add that their approach to those doing DIY is quite commendable. They relate with you with a mixture of both disdain and fear/respect. I noticed they treated me with "special respect" due to the DIY. Noticed it with others that did same.

My advice: Do the first payment online, then do fast track after biometrics

After making your payment online, YOU ARE EXPECTED TO GO TO THE OFFICE BEFORE YOUR CAPTURING DATE TO OPEN A FILE (This is an information most DIY don't know). If this is done, it makes it easier for you on the day you finally go for capturing.

But just incase you can't/didn't go (like me), you can get it done on that capturing date. I'll suggest you budget 2k and those photocopy shops will help you get it done. Please, go with passport photograph o, except you have excess money to spend

After this point is where my fast track started. You'll be given a brown envelope at the shop (request for it, it you want to do fast track). Take the envelope and move in, submit it to the person helping you with fast tracking, and you'll join the queue for capturing.

After that, you should collect it in less than one week if your fast track is sure. Got mine in less than four days, although I went to pick it up today (already had my new passport number before today)

SUMMARY: Note that this is for Alausa office oooo
- On the day of your capturing, go in the afternoon, around 2/3pm. By then, the crowd would have subsided (Don't mind the time on your slip)

- Get someone to fast track for you before capturing

- When you go to prepare your file at the photocopy shops, go for the brown file... DIY is pink file (I think that's to differentiate us), but since you already plan to fast track, don't use that file

- You'll pay #3000 for one stamp like this sha inside the office

- After capturing, don't misplace your slip. You'll need it for your passport collection

- When you go to collect your passport, go around 9am. Ensure you go with the old passport else you'll be sent back

- No "Gara" for there o, else they'll ask you to go to hell. I saw instances like that where people thought they could bully the officials maybe because of who they think they know, and the official asked them to do their worse.

I noticed the officials there know their rights and don't stand for any intimidation especially when on their right

- If you're going with kids, they give you priority, and they treat the kids very well.

Downside: The dustbin in the compound is full and overflowing, hence the wait area stinks.

Am a Silent reader on dis trend, I apply for France short stay Visa with my Family in Nov to travel for Christmas holiday but was denied on the Ground of Justification for the Purpose was not provided, I also apply this year February to Spain and was denied Again, I now decide to reapply with My Wife for the summer and Visa Granted.

This is to encourage someone waiting to hear from the embassy, do not worry, keep calm you’re next.

After four months, Finally the wait is over. Recalled I got my one year visa in January (we were the first batch that was issued this year ) before they now changed it to 3 months validity.

In February I quickly applied for my wife and daughter so we could travel together but unfortunately we didn’t hear from the embassy so I traveled alone in March and returned in April, my wife was called for interview March ending, since then nothing, after several emails, they finally got their visas yesterday.

NB; Things that changed from my letter

1. I reduced the duration from 7 days to 5 days
2. Reduced Accomodation to 70K from 150K and backed it up with booking reservation
3. Reduced living expenses from 100K to 50K
4. Got an unexpected salary increment I had to update.

I needed up applying later than I intended because I was waiting on a sponsor but when that fell through, I just had to wing it.

Thanks to everyone. I've been a lurker on this thread for a very long time, and it helped me start preparing my mind early.

Hello Gurus In the house,

I applied for France visa in January this year to attend a conference that was scheduled for March but I my visa was rejected . The reason for rejection was “ The information submitted regarding the justification for the propose and conditions of the intended stay was not reliable “

I appeal the rejection and the appeal later was delivered to cedex in france but I later discovered that the program as been shifted to June.

I re apply this month and I just received my passport back today , surprisingly , my visa was rejected again.

The reason for rejection was “ Justification for the purpose and conditions of the intended stay was not provided “

Please house I need your advice on the way forward .
