My warning still stands, anybody that does business with an unknown person on this forum without taking necessary precautions is doing so at his or her own risk. Dominikoko . . one of my older seniors on nairaland since 2006. Where are those old goons with intellectual posts like Jakumo, Sagamite, Davidylan, Yuzedo, Osisi etc? I've missed them |

Nairaland pre-2010 were filled with intelligent minds like dayokanu, sagamite, davidylan, olawalebabs, jarus, jakumo, yuzedo, osisi etc. These are intelligent minds and I learnt a lot from them before the riff raffs invasion. |

ovo12: tell her to report the case at usps... they will take it from there.... she might get a refund cos most of those goods are insured... That's what I said above USPS parcels are insured, if the customs guy can charge him 100k, they must have known the content of the package through the invoice. You cannot send stones in a custom declared package and write iPhonex on the bill |
Business › Re: Nigerian Custom Scam Me With My Money And My Parcel by PurestBoy(m): 2:00pm On Jun 23, 2018 |
Let me tell you all what you don't know, before custom can hold a parcel item, the package must come with invoice declaring the content and worth, then customs will calculate and tell you what to pay. Secondly, oyinbo can only send stones through registered service where you will have to collect freely without invoice or pay just 500 naira. Thirdly, USPS will not allow the sender to send stones and declare iPhone X on the package because parcel items comes with invoice. Another thing, customs only hold a package for 2 weeks maximum and they send it to your destination, you will pay the custom charges at your local post after opening it and confirm the content, you can even return it if you're not satisfied. |

Sports › Saudi Cleric Calls On FIFA To Ban Sign Of Cross, Twitter Fires Back Immediately by PurestBoy(op): 6:41pm On May 01, 2018 |
Saudi Cleric Muhamad Alarefe, A hardline Saudi cleric has called on football’s governing body, FIFA, to prohibit players from making the sign of the cross in celebration on the field. As expected, not only have his calls fallen on deaf ears, but he has also been lambasted online. Mohammed Alarefe boasts 17.5 million Twitter followers, which, though impressive, is unlikely to hold any sway with FIFA’s elite. “I’ve seen video clips of athletes, soccer players running, shooting and when they win they make the symbol of the cross on their chests and my question is do FIFA’s rules not forbid this,” he tweeted. Players and fans alike quickly pointed out the inherent hypocrisy in Alarefe’s statement. “Even Muslim players celebrate their own way, FIFA brings us together,” wrote one user. Another person also emphasized that sport is the great unifier and said Alarefe shouldn’t be a spoil-sport. “Muslims also bow down to celebrate victory... where is the problem?” One user took things a step further, highlighting the extremist undercurrent to the cleric’s remarks. “ISIS also forbid making the sign of the cross, when Baghdadi becomes FIFA president, I might consider it,” he tweeted. Religious symbolism has been a hot topic for football in 2017, which has seen Champions League regulars Real Madrid agreeing to remove the cross from their official merchandise sold in six Middle Eastern nations. https://www.rt.com/viral/388317-saudi-cleric-fifa-muslims/amp/?__twitter_impression=true |

eyinjuege: He needs to be kept busy at home, positively busy. Get a lesson teacher for him, (i know he's still young, but he really needs to channel all that energy into something positive), help him pick up skills like swimming, tennis. It will cost you money and time sha, but it will still benefit your child at the end of the day. If you have parks around you, take him to the park once or twice a week to run around. Maybe he will develop a love for sports. Actually I wish to get him a private lesson but paying his tuition is a huge task and doesn't even pay as at when due, we hardly spend together sef cos man has to go out go hustle. Most times when I drop him at school, he would have slept by the time I return and the cycle goes like that. |

redsun: Did you say beat him? You don't beat a child for being active,it makes his situation, you have to grow some senses and learn how to manage him without being a typical nigerian-inherently violent. Break the circle and bring up your child interactively and sensibly without having to lash out every time he acts like a child,a child that he is,innocent.
You should probably think twice about all those indomie and sugary drinks you ply him with,if you do. To be honest with you, beating him has not made soft because no matter how much you do, he doesn't cry for more than 5 seconds and most time he'll quickly hug you and say 'I love you " before you beat him, I'll just be weakened and free him |

pimper24: this is nearly my son's attributes. The difference is that he's just 3. Im now more scared cos I think he would outgrow these at 4. My first, he graduated from friso Gold to Golden morn and likes it like he must take it after any meal. I was advised on this forum not to worry for he's still a child. I'm now wondering if I should stop the Golden morn thing. He has really improved I must confess (I won't deny God of his Glory) after I made it a point of prayers. He takes Golden Morn every morning before his main meal from when he was 1yr old |

mytym: Honestly I tell you. He's hyperactivity is just an expression of what the brain feeds the muscle. Other factors may be responsible too like sugar content in meals and all...but after i read the part that said the boy is a lefty, I saw a different thing- avalanche of intelligence looking for expression.
Let him learn Pianoforte or The Pipe Organ from a good disciplinarian/Organist. You'll be proud of him by the time he's 7. Oversabi is worrying him, he believes he knows too much and corrects elderly people when they make blunders, I feel embarrassed sometimes when he corrects my friends |

eyinjuege: What are his teachers saying about him in school? If his teachers say he's disruptive and cant concentrate, you may need to take him to be assessed by a behavioutal therapist. If the teachers say he's engaging in school, when given tasks, he might just need to be engaged in something more productive at home. Register him for a swimming lessons, piano lessons, get a teacher for him to come once a week to teach him. Make sure he's engaged every day of the week doing something positive. Their teachers never complain, he's obedient and active in school, no negative complaints from the school so far |
