FamilyRe: What Is Wrong With Men Living With Their Parents After Marriage? by purpose100(f): 12:35pm On Dec 16, 2011
Ujujoan:
Live with parents after marriage kehuh Abeg oh, who wants to deal with in-laws’ tafia drama so early in his/her married life huh

Nobody can understand a wife’s laziness weakness like her husband would, afterall he kept her up almost all through the night!  wink   wink

The woman can decide to sleep till noon on Saturdays and nobody will call her lazy . .   infact, hubby will even stay in bed with her.  cool  cool

She can decide to skip church on Sunday morning and nobody will call her a pagan . . .  hubby will pray for the both of them.

She can cook a meal with too much salt, burn the stew, add too much water to the soup and the husband will only grumble and still eat it!

No matter how understanding the guy’s parents are, there’s bound to be some skirmishes which will totally be avoided if they were living on their own. Even if it’s in a one room apartment, it’s still a lot better than living with ones parents.

Except he doesn’t have a choice sha . . . . .  undecided
+100.

I remember when my elder brother wanted to get married. Because he was just starting up then,my mum offered him to stay in our house, since she is the only one living there. I told my brother that that is disaster in the making!

Uhmmm, Just thinking sha o,
There is something i'm yet to understand about Nigerians, are we to celebrate attempt @ success or achievement of success? In my own humble opinoin(and pls i am not anti-igbo/ojuwku ooh) i think we should have consider Ojuwku a great, mighty, fearless and selfless leader had it been that he fought and gained freedom for the Igbos.
My fellow Nigerians, lets learn how to recognize and celebrate success not attempt at success. And this is affecting all areas of our lives in general, when some people will be celebrating proposed projects! Wait until the project is completed before praising it.
But, i think the Igbos have the right to mourn one of their kinsmen that died. So let them mourn in peace, pls.

PoliticsWhat Is Our Founding Fathers Dream? by purpose100(op): 9:01pm On Nov 10, 2011
People always talk about our founding fathers dream. What is our founding fathers dreams?

In his speech to commemorate Nigeria’s 51st independence anniversary, President Jonathan also mentioned it "As your President, let me reassure all Nigerians that I remain resolutely committed to the ideals and dreams of our founding fathers". Source http://thestreetjournal.org/2011/10/nigeria-51-jonathan-restates-commitment-the-nigerian-dream/

Every time i hear this phrase, it always baffle me. What is that dream?

I am not an American, but i know about their dream "The American Dream is a national ethos of the United States in which freedom includes a promise of the possibility of prosperity and success. In the definition of the American Dream by James Truslow Adams in 1931, "life should be better and richer and fuller for everyone, with opportunity for each according to ability or achievement" regardless of social class or circumstances of birth.[1] The idea of the American Dream is rooted in the United States Declaration of Independence which proclaims that "all men are created equal" and that they are "endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable Rights" including "Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." Source http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Dream.

I think one of our problem as a nation is that of poor of communicating our dreams, vision, core values and mission to her citizens.
In fact, who are the founding fathers they are even referring to? What are those dreams they are talking about? Because left to me, i don't think our founding fathers have a working dream for us. Is it the dream of training all of us o become civil servant? Dreams that brings no stable policy in any of our sector?

For instance, consider our educational system. our educational system is seriously flawed. I am in my late 20s. My grand parents where trained in a Nigeria school to be civil servants. My parents also where trained by the same Nigeria school to be civil servants. Now, if not for very few of us that decided to think outside the box, i am also trained by the same Nigeria educational system to be a civil servant! Our syllabus never change, when the whole world is changing and updating their syllabus. In our Universities till today, they are still teaching Computer Students FORTRAN, can u imagine?

Is it that we don't have people bold enough to create a change?
I think we need to dissolve all the policies/dreams/ideas or whatever we have as a nation and set new ones, because it is so obvious that the ones we have is not working.

Because when my kids are old enough to ask questions, if they ask me what is Nigerian dream, i honestly don't know what i will tell them.

Pls, this is not where anybody will be throwing tribal fight or insult or whatever they do. Pls only people workable solutions and ideas should contribute.

Thanks for your response.

@we we
Me,i sing in Lagbaja
'Mo sorry fun gbogbo yin o
Mo sorry fun gbogbo yin lokokan'.

I remember clearly what my Dad told me when Obasanjo wanted to remove the toll gates, he said that's a bad move. He said gov should look for ways in which looters wont be able to loot the toll gate money, because if Nigeria have been an ideal country, such toll gate money should be use for raod maintainance instead of depending on oil money alone. By d way,he is an Economist.

EducationRe: When The Female Students Are Desperate To Pass! by purpose100(f): 1:41pm On Aug 03, 2011
When i was in school, this thing was very rampant. Those girls just believe that they can get any thing with their thing. But what i always ask is this; for how long will they do this for? Perhaps for life,or they will stop after marriage? but just like pendo89 rightly say,it is the foundation that will determine how your whole life will turn out.
