I strongly doubt a Doctor, Medical Doctor, wrote that. The NCDC was being brutally honest. It refused to politicize the Virus or even give it a religious color. When people said we should shut our boarders as far back as January, some said it was wrong. The Virus can survive our hot weather, Religious leaders were sure it won't reach here and govt did nothing. The NCDC said clearly said it will get to all States, knowing fully well that the amt of testing done was low, the porous state boarders and the indiscipline of our wonderful people was a sure way to transfer the Virus. Kogi State the serves as a confluence center for travellers from both side of the River Niger can't truly say its free from the virus that uses humans as its mean of transport. If truly they have no case, then their actions or otherwise should be a blueprint for other States. And if Kogi got nothing to hide, why worry about what the NCDC team will find. The state is an APC state, and he does not trust his own FG? Anyway, the Virus can only be hidden for a short period of time. Kano state is a case study |
Op. Sim affects. My sim of many years does not browse fast. I changed the sim card when it got damaged and since then, the browsing speed is depressing. Its takes 5min or more to open a simple nairaland page on a good day. So I just got another Sim and use it for calls. I've reported to Mtn severally but they seem not to understand. I don't have the energy to go for another sim replacement, but it has convinced me that sim matters. |
Officialgarri:And have we not separated them again? |
"And for me, if you love Buhari, all your sins are forgiven. If they are like scarlet, they become white as snow. If they are red like crimson, they become white as wool. That is me, no apologies." Femi Adesina CASE CLOSED This statement from Femi is shocking to say the least. Even Buhari won't say this about himself. |

We can't ask questions. Do we have enough test kits? Are we testing enough people? Do we have enough personnel for the challenge ahead? Do we have enough medical centers? What about the economy. Any tax exemptions? Pls will salaries be paid? Will loan repayment be suspended. |
Thank God oh |
But Nigeria is ready..... |

NIGERIANS REALLY ENJOY MEDIA TRIALS. BEFORE EMBARKING ON ANY INVESTIGATIVE TRIP WITH TAX PAYERS MONEY. PLS INFORM US IF THE FUNDS WERE RELEASED FOR THE PROJECTS AS CAPTURED IN THE BUDGET. ALSO INFORM US HOW MUCH THE INVESTIGATION WOULD COST. AND SINCE U WANT TO INVOLVE THE MEDIA, U MIGHT AS WELL RELEASE THE ADDRESSES OF THE PROJECT AND I I AM QUITE SURE U WOULD GET PICTURES/VIDEOS AND EVEN 3D DOCUMENTARY ABOUT PROJECTS |
opomulero:She actually stated that all expenses would be fully borne by her organization. @ekpotek @justwise kindly demystify this refusal reason |

Dear VO, my baby was very cranky during my last interview and it got me so stressed and as a result,I couldn't answer the questions well because I was distracted in a bid to pacify her. I want to reapply because I don't see anything changing in my circumstances for now,I am married with kids, been at my job for close to 12 years and recently got a promotion at work. My vacation date is in October.. I have a notarize d consent letter from her date to travel with her.. What do you advice? |
donhay:Mine was on Thursday too, Abuja. Can you share your transcript? |
[quote author=LadyGuinivere post=60334178]@pushy sorry dear You are one of the few people that I say this to. Reapply immediately. Cover the short comings you mentioned. Go to town with that space in the ds 160 asking why you were refused. State all the above and include why you feel you weren't adjudged fairly[/quote I appreciate the empathy, I feel same way too.. However, I m considering applying without my daughter.. Would it make sense? |
Sebastine1606:Thanks for your observation.. I have never spent more than two weeks in the UK..I had a notarized consent letter from my husband.. |
Good evening house, I was denied a visa last week.. Prior to the interview ,my daughter got really cranky and it really got me stressed. As a result,I couldn't answer the questions well cos I was also trying to pacify her.. In this case, how soon do I apply, my vacation starts first week of October.. I am quite sad because I didn't see it coming.. I am not considering waiting for a change in circumstances cos I don't know what could change; I am married with four kids, been at my job for close to 12 years, recently got a promotion, been to over eight countries..my first degree wasn't even in Nigeria. My husband isn't keen on travelling and I can't handle four kids on a vacation, hence my decision to travel with my 19 year old baby only .I am just confused here.. transcript: Same VO that did biometrics interviewed me VO: Good morning Me: Good morning VO: why are you going to the US Me: Tourism VO: where in the US? Me: New York VO: why New York Me: I want to visit places such as Empire state building , statue of liberty, American museum of natural history which is very close to my hotel... VO: where is your husband? Me: I just mentioned where he works(think I should have elaborated) VO: have you travelled before? Me: Yes,listed the countries VO: Do you have the passport? Me: yea, passed it to her and she flips through VO: have you lived in the UK before? Me: No..visited thrice( I realised that I didn't give her the passport that had the exit stamp for the last UK visit) VO: how long have you worked? Me: 11 years plus Types...... and blue paper.. All these while I had to pace in a bid to pacify my baby who wanted to run around.. I just feel I had an unsympathetic VO... but oh well..I need to see what America looks like.. |
nikkycool:Hi sorry about the refusal. Please could you share your transcript...Thanks. |

KaptainAfrika: noted Kaptain Afrika... much appreciated |
KaptainAfrika:Thanks. I have no intention of lying,I just wanted to be sure of the proper choice of words and relative perception. |
Dear Gurus in the house, Please what is the 'best' response to the question ; Why are you visiting the US? Particularly when one is not travelling with the whole family. I remember reading on this thread that vacation is not the right answer.Because the Americans percieve vacation to be like 'family time'. Is Tourism and sight seeing okay? I have perused the thread but i just need further clarification on this. |
LexngtonSteele:Clap for yourself |
