LMFAO. Perhaps I was too childish to be with him. It wouldn't have worked anyway, so I'm glad it ended when it did. He was too traditional. Also very cold & detached. A prefer a fiery type. Found that out after I started dating his replacement. The guy (my ex) was living with his aunt. His room was outside, at the back of the main house. Inside there there were two beds. So anyway, one time I spent the night with him there, while everyone was away at a church outing, including my mother. I was all excited, thinking we were gonna have this most romantic night ever. Instead we spent most of the night in separate beds. His excuse was, we were going to have plenty amorous nights when we are married lol. He loved to talk marriage & I don't think he said it just to get into my pants because he wasn't a very sexual person. More cerebral than anything else. I'm sure he's a big shot wherever he is. Dude was extremely intelligent.

The problem was just issues of complexities and lack of communication

Yes I took it hard, but I agreed to meet him when he came. He explained himself & I forgave him. We resumed the relationship, mostly over the phone. I did all the calling because I didn't have a phone at the time. He offered to buy me one, but I was afraid of what my sister was going to say so I declined. Long story short, he cheated with someone he was going to school with (he was older & in university. I was in high school lol). The signs were there so I just stopped calling him. A few months later I went home for the holidays. He was also on break so he came to see me once again. He confirmed my suspicions. I couldn't get back with him because I've already met someone else at the time He'll forever go down as the ONLY honest guy I ever dated I really liked him. We even shared a birthday, so at the time I thought we were something special. Thought we were gonna get married & have many babies lol. But it wasn't meant to be. Haven't seen him since.

Hmm......well, am not his advocate but I think you hurriedly concluded without hearing from him on why he was not supportive.
Perhaps he had his own personal issues and thought you would understand only to be left heartbroken

My policy in life is to look for excuses for people's misdemeanor in order not to find reasons to hate/detest them.
He may have cheated for the same reasons you broke up with him

I don't think he took advantage of me lol. We dated for almost two years back in my hometown, but I had to move away because of circumstances beyond my control. I actually believed the relationship was over because he wasn't very supportive emotionally. I've just lost a loved one. So anyway, I was surprised when he told me he came all the way just to see me. We never even had sex when we met on his visit. In fact, the last time we slept together was when I still lived at home. So I think he came to visit just to see how I was doing or whatever. He was not a bad guy. He just ruined the relationship by cheating. Plus I was still mad he never showed me any support by showing up at the funeral or keeping in touch at least.

If the sex would be good based on the initial knitting/connection, you can travel to the outer continents just to have a bit of the doughnut.

Who hasn't? It's not even about sex, but travelling to spend time with someone you like. A guy I was dating once travelled overnight from my hometown to the city where I was living at the time. I found that romantic. The following year he transferred to my city, but we didn't see each other very much (we only met once lol) because I was living under very strict conditions, so he ended up cheating
