Yeah right, giving donations and handouts to a selected few means he's responsible for the quality of their education?. Fi you know how many individuals that makes donations to schools and build classes, labs and libraries without taking pictures and making noise about it.
The real question is that, Obi handed the schools back to the owners who managed and run their schools, thereby repositioning their schools. As a Governor, how much money did Obi budget for the mission schools ?, was it Obi that was paying the salaries of their teachers and principals?. How many mission schools did Obi used public fund to rebuild?. So why are you bigot giving him credits for what he doesn't deserve while the missionaries get NOTHING from you guys?.
The public primary schools and secondary schools under Obi, how many of them did Obi improve when he was Governor?, how many public schools had improved performances under him compared to the private mission schools ?. How many public schools hadvgreat academic performances under him?. But you all focused on private schools managed by missionaries and abandon public schools under Obi. You guys are not smart at all. You can only deceive the gullible.

Whenever I write that name, I get a ban. No matter how I tried to tweak the name, I always get banned. A few posters have also experienced same treatment.
Nairaland brings topics relating to that name on the frontpage yet when people mention the name, they get banned.
Why is seun sympathetic to this name?. These same people he's protecting, could say whatever they like about Fulani herdsmen, lumping a whole tribe together, they are also very free to refer to others as Agbado, Agbadorian, Agbadorite, etc but when you called them by that name, you get a ban.
The Nigerian Government has since declared this people a terrorist which brings them in same bracket as Bokoharam, ISWAP and others. Why is Nairaland giving only this group a preferential treatment?. Why not also give Bokoharam a preferential treatment and ban anyone who mention the name.
I think seun needs to come clean, as there's lots of things wrong with this platform. You don't even know the words or phrases that are ban able and the ones that are unban able.

He handed over mission schools back to the missionary and it was the missionary that were responsible for rebuilding their schools and providing quality Education to their students. Any school you see that has top record in Anambra, go and check, it's a mission school.
Ask yourself, if PitaObi did anything about public schools, why were public schools under him shambolic?. Why were tertiary institutions going on strike?. Why was he increasing tuition fees by 200% and saying " education is not meant for the poor"?. You bigots are fond of praising that fraud but you won't acknowledge the missionary that are responsible for the glory of Anambra.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has dismissed as baseless and mischievous the allegations by Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, that the anti-graft agency is being used by political opponents, particularly the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike to persecute him and his associates.

In a statement on Friday, the EFCC described the claims as wild, far-fetched, and deliberately misleading, stressing that the Commission is an independent, non-partisan agency established to combat economic and financial crimes without fear or favour.

“The EFCC discharges its statutory mandate without affection or ill will,” the Commission said, condemning attempts to portray it as a pliable institution serving political interests.

The anti-graft agency said it was derogatory and dishonest for Governor Mohammed to attribute its investigative activities in Bauchi State to the influence of the FCT Minister, stressing that no political office holder has the power to direct or influence EFCC investigations.

The Commission further noted that Governor Mohammed was standing trial for money laundering at the time he was elected governor in 2019, adding that the case was only placed on hold due to the constitutional immunity attached to his office.

“If the Governor wants to be honest with Nigerians, he should explain who influenced the Commission to investigate him in 2016 and charge him to court,” the EFCC stated.

On the ongoing Bauchi case, the Commission explained that the facts against some officials of the Bauchi State Government are already before the court, and members of the public can independently assess whether the charges stem from vendetta or from painstaking investigations.

The EFCC also clarified that Governor Mohammed was mentioned in the charge sheet because he was the approving authority for the transactions under investigation.

Reacting to claims linking the investigation to terrorism financing, the Commission described such assertions as desperate and misleading, stressing that it neither invents laws nor ignores offences punishable under existing legislation.

“Public accountability should be the priority of politicians, irrespective of party affiliation,” the EFCC said, accusing opposition politicians of double standards, quick to cry persecution when one of theirs is investigated, but silent when members of the ruling party face similar charges.

The Commission cited the recent arraignment of a ranking member of the ruling party, noting that no allegations of persecution were raised in that instance.

The EFCC advised Governor Mohammed to focus on governance while allowing the Commission to carry out its mandate of sanitising Nigeria’s financial system in the interest of national development.

Tinubu did not single handedly write off the debts. It was the debts NNPCL was owing to the federation and it took the agreement of the Governors of the federation and the FG to write off the debts. If you owe me money and I decided to forgive you and write it off, why should anyone have an headache with that?

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, has reacted to comment by Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State that some supporters of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar are now backing President Bola Tinubu.

Speaking at a new year banquet on Thursday in Port Harcourt, Fubara said Prince Uche Secondus, Rt. Hon. Austin Opara, Alabo Abiye Sekibo, and former Governor, Sir Celestine Omehia are now supporting him and Tinubu.

Reacting, Wike said these men failed to give Atiku 10 percent votes during the 2023 presidential election.

Speaking in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni (ONELGA) Local Government Area of Rivers yesterday, Wike assured Tinubu of the required support to win the 2027 presidential election.

He said: “I heard somebody (Fubara) say, ‘Oh, those who worked for Atiku are back.’ they couldn’t give Atiku 10% in 2023, so what is the political advantage?

“I won’t call their names but you all know them, we will do all we can to see that we give Tinubu the total support that is required.”

He also lambasted the Ohanaeze President-General, John Mbata for referring to him as a semi-illiterate.

Wike said: “Ordinarily, I won’t have bothered myself but I will say it. Somebody who was a former senator said the FCT Minister is a semi-illiterate but the same person dropped out from Rivers State University when he was reading law, he could not make it.

“I meant to University of Port Harcourt, finished, went to the same university he dropped out and went to the law school, today, I’m life bencher.
“The semi-illiterate has the fourth highest national award in Nigeria.”
