CSTRR: On what basis will tinubu win reelction?
On his brilliant performance, or in the improvement in the standard of living of the average Nigerian?
What has tinubu done for you as president that you are certain that he would be rewarded with another term in office ?
If buhari can "win" reelection , of course tinubu can. He won't be the first president in Nigeria to win a second term undeservedly. Infact, that's the common theme in Nigeria, so there's nothing special about tinubu. Na una kind stubbornness dey make housefly dey follow dead body enter grave. Una eye go clear next election. |

The All Progressives Congress, APC, National Vice Chairman (Southeast), Ijeoma Arodiogbu, has disclosed that governors from Bayelsa, Rivers, Plateau, Kano, and either Abia or Enugu States would defect to the party within the next two months.
Arodiogbu made the disclosure while dismissing claims of an opposition coalition, which he described as a media stunt.
In a statement, he noted that most of the politicians prefer to stay with the APC and not the emerging opposition coalition.
He said, “We are talking about governors from Bayelsa, Rivers, Plateau, Kano, either Abia or Enugu. In the next two months, you will see them join us officially.
“This idea of forming a so-called opposition coalition is nothing but a media stunt.
“But Nigerians are aligning with a party that is delivering and that is the APC.
“Of course, Bayelsa is in the picture, that’s why I mentioned it.”
He also hinted at the possibility of Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State defecting to the APC.
“On Adeleke, I can’t give a definitive answer, but I know he has made moves.
“We’re not ruling out Governor Alex Otti of Abia or the Enugu State governor either,” he added.
The coalition, which was birthed a few months ago and includes eminent Nigerians, is believed to be weighing up its options on the political party to adopt. https://dailypost.ng/2025/06/30/rivers-bayelsa-plateau-kano-govs-to-join-us-in-two-weeks-apc-chieftain/

See him in a turban, chai God is a God of mercy. Turji's boss and his cousin - killed
Turji's son - killed.. Does it mean the entire lineage of this guy are into terrorism & banditry. What a life!. |
Politics › Security Agents Kill Bello Turji’s Boss, Danbokolo, In Zamfara by Putindbutt(op): 3:42pm On Jun 30, 2025 |
Details have emerged on how notorious bandit kingpin Kachalla Yellow Danbokolo died at the weekend in Zamfara State after an earlier gun battle with Shinkafi Volunteer Forces in the state.
Danbokolo’s death is being widely celebrated in Zamfara State and many parts of the Northwest states, as many locales know him as the most dreaded bandit in the zone, even more dangerous than his cousin, Bello Turji, whom they describe as a mere spokesperson.
Security sources said Danbokolo and more than 173 bandits were killed after the blistering surprise attack by the volunteer forces.
The sources could, however, neither confirm nor deny the role of the Department of State Services (DSS) in the recent onslaughts which have greatly decimated the bandits, stating that the secret police has rather maintained stealth mode in these operations.
According to the sources, Danbokolo, who sustained serious gun injuries during the attack, died over the weekend and was buried on Saturday. His death and that of several fighters loyal to him were reportedly being celebrated, particularly by residents of Kurya District in Shinkafi LGA, whom he had terrorised for years.
One villager said, “We are in a serious celebration mood. It is hard to believe that Danbokolo, a man whose name used to strike fear in our hearts, is no more. I can authoritatively tell you that Danbokolo is the man behind the mask. He is the overall commander. Turji merely communicates, while dreaded Danbokolo is the executioner of all the evil.
“Not only was Danbokolo killed, but at least 173 bandits, loyal to him, have been killed and buried within the week, and several of them have fled the community. We see them running away after every raid on their hideouts,” he said.
Another resident confirmed that “known loyalists of Turji are now in a state of fear and confusion, and that some are now seeking to surrender as they see the end in sight.”
He said, “This is the first time we believe that these bandits will soon be gone for good. Bello Turji has no hiding place. Knowing that his days are numbered, he and some of his foot soldiers have begun to beg for amnesty desperately. ”
These strikes by the courageous volunteer forces on Turji’s main stronghold are the first since the onset of organised banditry in the region. It has devastated the bandits, including the death of Danbokolo, who residents believe is the commander of terror.
While DSS has remained silent, these volunteers, however, continue to reference support from the agency.
The source also reported that locals in the area have been massively jubilating following the killings, with most farmers expressing the hope that they won’t have to pay taxes to bandits in this farming season.
They thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for this intervention https://guardian.ng/news/security-agents-kill-bello-turjis-boss-danbokolo-in-zamfara/

I am not here to defend Obi, I am here to defend the truth. Even if it is his land, the timing of the purchase and the manner it was bought (via a proxy company) suggests to me it is money laundering and proceeds of crime. You may not suffer it, but someone related to you will. Obi bought that land when he was Governor, he used his brother as a front. That's how he looted money offshore in his daughter's name.. na scammer him be. |

The woman has not shown her proof of purchase from the FG as she alleges. You would think she would have done so. If it were my land, I would have shown the proof of purchase not just the cofo.
All I can say at this point is that he bought the property in 2011 while he was governor and he owns the property despite what he says. At the very least he is a part owner. The woman has shown the certificate of occupancy and the court ruiling validating her ownership?. Continue joking. |

This administration is getting things right. It's an absurdly in the 21st century Nigerian police stations lack data collection and processing system, what they throw at you is a white paper to write a statement and that's all. Most times, the papers end up being used to wrap roasted corns. Our police facilities lack surveillance system that can help monitor activities within a 50km perimeter within the community right there in their office. You can rarely find a surveillance within our stations, and this is what an average supermarket has. We need to be doing better. |
Politics › FG To Establish Smart Police Stations Across Nigeria by Putindbutt(op): 6:02pm On Jun 28, 2025 |
Nigerian government agencies, Galaxy Backbone and the Nigeria Police Trust Fund, have announced a partnership to kick off ‘smart police stations’ nationwide.
This was disclosed at the Memorandum of Understanding signing event between GBB and NPTF on Friday in Abuja. In his remarks at the event, the Managing Director of GBB, Prof Ibrahim Adeyanju, said the partnership is a bold step forward in Nigeria’s digital transformation and improvement in security.
According to him, the initiative would solve challenges around security and digital development in Nigeria.
“Now, our partnership with the Nigeria Police Trust Fund will support the establishment of smart police stations across the country powered by GBB’s fibre-optic network, eLTE, and cloud infrastructure.
“This innovation will give birth to police stations with smart connectivity, surveillance, ECMS, artificial intelligence with a robust cybersecurity component. Smart policing means better surveillance, faster data access, improved reporting systems, and real-time coordination.
By integrating secure digital platforms into policing, we are enhancing effectiveness, transparency, responsiveness, and public trust in law enforcement.
“What we are witnessing today is a model for how government institutions can work together to solve big challenges around security and digital development through strategic collaboration and technological innovation”, he stated.
On his part, the Executive Secretary at the Nigeria Police Trust Fund, Mohammed Sheidu, said the move would propel the Nigeria Police Force to 21st-century standards. According to him, the smart stations would address the problem of data gathering and collection in the Nigeria Police Force.
“This is a very symbolic MoU. This is because we plan to move the police to 21st-century standards. “It only makes sense to strategically collaborate with GBB to achieve the digitalisation agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“One of the problems of the Nigerian Police Force is data collection and gathering. “The initiative with GBB will be historic, as it would change the narrative in Nigeria’s security sector,” he stated. https://dailypost.ng/2025/06/20/nigerian-govt-announces-partnership-to-unveil-smart-police-stations-nationwide/

The President has signed a new amendment bill to the 2024 bill. He has fully decentralized power and removed the load totally from the federal to the states. |
Politics › Tinubu Signs Bill Granting States Full Control Over Electricity by Putindbutt(op): 12:04pm On Jun 28, 2025 |
In a landmark move to decentralise the nation’s power sector, Nigerian states now have the authority to oversee electricity generation, transmission, and distribution within their jurisdictions.
The shift follows the signing of the Electricity Amendment Bill into law by President Bola Tinubu in 2024.
The new legislation amends the Constitution, removing electricity from the Exclusive Legislative List and placing it on the Concurrent List, enabling states to take full charge of their power sectors.
The bill, titled Electricity Act (Amendment) Bill 2025, is expected to decentralize Nigeria’s power sector, encouraging investment and competition.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Tinubu emphasized that the move would boost economic growth by allowing states to develop independent power projects tailored to their needs.
The Electricity Amendment Act marks a significant reform in Nigeria’s energy sector, handing over control from the federal government to individual states.
According to BBC: “The Act gives states the authority to generate, transmit, and distribute power within their borders, shifting control from the federal government to the states. It allows states to license private investors to operate mini-grids and power plants within their jurisdiction.”
The decentralised model is expected to accelerate electrification in rural, peri-urban, and urban communities that have long remained underserved.
“This law marks a new era in Nigeria’s energy sector,” Tinubu stated. “States now have the constitutional authority to provide stable and efficient electricity to their residents, fostering industrialization and job creation.”
Governors across the country have welcomed the development, with Lagos, Rivers, and Kaduna already announcing plans to upgrade their power infrastructure. Experts believe the law will reduce reliance on the national grid, which has struggled with inefficiency for decades.
However, concerns remain about funding and technical capacity in some states. The federal government has pledged support through grants and partnerships with private investors to ensure smooth implementation.
With this law, Nigeria joins other federal nations where subnational governments manage electricity, raising hopes for improved power supply nationwide. https://www.legit.ng/nigeria/1661804-tinubu-signs-bill-allowing-states-full-charge-electricity/
