Oga Okeyz sincerely appreciate your dedication to keeping this thread alive. Thank you.

I'm curious to know if your friend working as roughneck in Calgary did any pre-employment floor man training before securing the job ?

And do you think age would hinder anyone from securing like jobs?

Sagamite:
His point (and a very valid point at it) is that women tend to be more attractive in their late teens and early twenties.

I have even seen some scientific research that backs that up. The research result showed most women were at their most attractive between the ages of 15 to 24. Obviously there is some deviation, but that is the strongest range. And it is based on effortless naturality, not those that put effort in. So one can easily say women are usually at their prime at 20.

If you know how many women I have seen when I was young and were absolutely stunning when they were 18, then I see them 10 years later and most of the beauty is gone, you go bow. undecided Obviously, if they had put effort in to stay fit, it might be a different story.

As people get older, they age and the body is not so generous in regulating itself and keeping that lovely figure, people have to work tirelessly for it. When they are 20, it is effortless.
Mint!!!

There is a girl I use to admire, in fact she was obsession of mine. Just 2 weeks ago I used facebook to search her out because the fantasy was still there.
But to my dismay or rather disappointment, she looks so old and sapped out , like someone sucked her beauty away.
Sadly, she's still single and older than OP.

@ poster, I'm 32 too and single but not desperate. I have a man who wants to marry me but I'm not sure I want to marry him. Many of my friends are married.

But you see, as much as I want to get married, I'm  not desperate cos that's what men don't want.
You are not old, you are a young woman only matured and know better how to handle marriage. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

I buy cuddlemi's advice, aplly it and pls invite nairalanders when the wedding bells start ringing. In the meantime, get busy and your man is on his way.
Love!
Please honey don't go around thinking age is just number as applies marriage and procreation of women; is simply not! Again, please slow your roll and learn to love him. That's if he's not jobless or a nuisance?

fantababy:
Am still rereading all the posts and am laughing. Let me clarify some stuffs:

1. Thank you kabukabu for the pictures, am a 5.4 and my shape is similar to the number 2 picture.

2. My fiance is not marrying me for my papers, I am a canadian citizen, and he is a british citizen. He recently relocated back to Nigeria to set up an interior decor business which is doing very well.

3. I asked for the opinion of Nairalanders because I wanted to see things from different angles and get various views.

4. Am actually very pretty, I won 2nd runner up Miss Fego while  at secondary school.  cheesy

5. We both love ourselves sincerely, but I think he likes a trophy girl that he can show round to his friends.

6. I had suitors from canada, but none of them matched my standards. Am a christian and I wanted some1 with the same faith and values as me.

7. And am not a desperado. He was the one pushing for marriage this yr cos he wants to settle down before his 28th b.day in March.
You are not being honest with yourself here, trying so hard to be cool. Initially you said this of him:
N2M is very OK, even too much, Depending on the kind of wedding you want. My wedding is coming up next month. My guest is approximately 300. My budget for both white & trad was N1M, but I had to increase it to N1.3.  I live in Canada, so I dont beleive iin spending foolishly for a wedding.  My traditional is the morning.

My venue (Ikeja)     - 200,000
Food ( N800 * 350) - 280,000
Drinks                      - 140,000
Decoration               -   75,000
Photo & Video          -   90,000
Cake                        -   60,000 ( 3 tier plus 2 extra packaged in transparent wraps)
Rings                        -   60,000
Make up & hair         -   30,000
Brides cloths             -  100,000 ( Including 1 set of traditional)
Grooms cloths          -    90,000  (Including I set of traditional)
Small chops              -    40,000
DJ & mc                     -    80.000
Sourveniers              -    40,000

Total is 1, 265, 000.

I planned my wedding, I and fiance live in canada, my chief brides maid lives in Lagos and she was the one that went around making sure that the vendors I picked were geniue and good.

I got most of my vendors from Nairaland.
All the best, and always include God in all u do.

You don't have to come out clean cause you owe us nothing but making him look good won't save the situation.
My advice as a brother is for you to look for a guy in Canada; this smack of desperation.

Ramires is a very promising player so am hopeful. He looks like someone who can run the whole
day like Essien, box-to-box player. When I saw his clip I thought Cheetah got nothing on him. lol

A very smart buy.
PoliticsRe: Samuel Ladoke Akintola by Puvguy: 6:57am On Aug 04, 2010
Dayokanu is spot on about Awo and Akintola. My dad who was a keen political observer and also neutral told me Awo was power hungry.
Though he acknowledges his good intentions for his people but said he could had easily turned a dictator if were a military leader.

My intention is not to anger anyone here so don't take it personal.
TV/MoviesRe: Nollywood Slams N250,000 Clearance Fee On Foreign Actors by Puvguy: 5:45am On Jul 27, 2010
Princek12:
Ghanaians are obviously jealous of Nigerians. I applaud whomever retaliated against by Ghana by imposing a fee on foreign actors, for it will truly show which country is dominant in the African movie industry. First, Nigeria has a population of over $150 million compared to Ghana's $23 million. Common sense shows that we have the more lucrative market.

Lol. . . U must be an ibo man!!! tongue
RomanceRe: Why Ladies will always prefer a `Bad` guy to a `Good` guy. by Puvguy: 2:40am On Jul 24, 2010
pro01:
I always marvel at the female species shallowness (or deceit as the case may be) whenever anyone brings up this "girls love bad boys" matter. True as it is (and I know that for a fact from personal exploits), any thinking being would ask a very simple question: do girls love to MARRY these bad boys? ? ? If the answer is no, then is it worthwhile to mortgage your sense of self on shortlived thrills? It may infact suggest one thing: after being ravaged and savaged with reckless abandon by we 'bad boys', girls then wish to settle down - along with their ruined dignity - with 'good boys' who missed all the kinky action and therefore know little about the depravity of womankind - including their new wives.

The sad conclusion therefore is that the likely losers (ultimately) are 'good girls' and 'good boys'. The good girls, out of sheer naivety or stup.di.ty, or both end up falling for a veteran bad boy's specious game and marries him thinking how lucky she is! The good boy on the other hand - afflicted by the same naivete and stupi.dit.y - falls for the 'goodie' pretence of a retired (but tired?) bad girl who's seemingly everything a wife should be - according to the book - in the eyes of the poor good guy.

And boy, in marriage everything works for the bad boys and bad girls. The bad boy's good wife soon gets used to a husband that comes back past 12am daily, batters her at the slightest provocation, openly flirts with neighbours and other women, and expects her to keep playing her defined role as dutiful, devoted, longsuffering wife without complaints. Bven if she wanted to, she wouldnt complain to family and friends cos they prolly warned her not to marry him but she called their bluff. The bad girl on the other hand is having a blast in her marriage to Mr. Good. Husband prolly has a nice job and is a devoted family man. Treats her with much consideration, is responsive to her demands and feelings, and is easily cowered and blackmailed into subjugation by her manipulative schemes and mood swings. Heck, she still knocks the boots with the odd hunk whenever she feels the itch for some thug-loving. Husband would hardly suspect because he 'trusts her. Everything is cool with her!

Sadly therefore, good girls and good guys lose both ways. So for the girl who has some element of goodness but still blab on and senselessly swallow the 'bad boys rock' bait, the joke is on you: it really is. For the good guys, your fate is no less tragic. If only life was fair. . . .
U made it look so easy with ur apt analysis. SMART

^^ This girl is certainly not cute or pretty or whatever adjective used should not be to glorify her personality. She's an average looking girl and that's the truth.

As for rich guys, they find girls cheap and thus, seek for the unassuming ones for marriage.
