gluv01: She is quite beautiful and looking great in the clothes not 'hot'.They have this saying about people with great voice, I mean the natural voice technicians: " can sing a phone-book" I think she can do justice to any dress too, even AKPOSHE. |
Strongly disagree gluv01. She's the complete package. Funny, I haven't heard of her before now. She's the kind of girl you take to mamma and she will be impressed. Her figure is just perfect, unlike those fat shapeless stars... |
Uche look fierce with the red hair but should please stop eating for pleasure. Too fat. |
@Stabbo disregard some the sly comments here. I think you should re-apply, and this time state what's on your I20, don't try too hard to impress. Be yourself and the visa will be yours. Good luck!!! |
@Op my guy, please read Mrgrown's post and then re-read until you get it. And stop giving excuses for her, she's taking you for granted. |
Congrat BigFrancis! That's a top top school. You are extremely lucky to be given assistantship. On their FAQ, the program said they don't offer teaching or research assistance. |
stan smart: Was in this position 2 yrs ago, had a MTN job and an admission from UIUC,took d UIUC option and neva regretted it.IN so far as u r a smart guy u wud always get a top class job in america. I had 4 offers wen I finished and all my 9ja friends also got fantastic jobs coupled wit d fact dat dere r so many other avenues u can mak moni from. He's going to an average school and a popular/ambiguous course. Not the same situation bro. |

adconline: My friend he didn't plan his life as Jim Iyke, he started the comparison first. The benchmark here is Jim Iyke no the OP, cos the former does not have time posting on NL. The OP is nobody at 28 and thinks that the only thing he has going for him are his kids.Yes, Jim Iyke is the topic here and I wrote against the assertions of the 28 year old dude. Again, Jim Iyke is a successful man. But there are more successful people who are less popular. His chosen career just made him more exposed to the public. We should always have an holistic view bro. Here are some food for thought: 1. A rich successful man with 3 kids that gives him problems - daughter getting pregnant out of wedlock, son steals his money and waste it on frivolities, another is involve in cultism . Now would you call him a failure because he can't put his home in order? I bet not! 2. A successful man/woman that is either divorced or never married, with or without kids is certainly not a failure. 3. A poor/average man with 3 kids - son in the university doing well with his academics, daughter is married to her love, another graduated and working (Kids are his legacy). I bet you will still call him a failure? |
adconline: Having 2 kids is no achievement ma fren! Planning and organizing a guaranteed future for your kid are better than having kids while u plan along. It's this God is the ultimate provider mentality that has kept Naija stagnated. So many kids are born and not cared for.. all in the name of being a family person. Folks like the 28yr old don't think that it's OK to plan the future of our kids before we pull out mandigos. Equating having kids to success is medieval thinking!I hope the hype of the 21st century hasn't gotten to you my friend. There's nothing medieval about equating kids to success. It seem you didn't read my opinion thoroughly, I actually wrote this," if he can keep his family healthy and happy". BTW, how can you tell he didn't plan for the coming of kids? Please, this is a faceless forum and such assertions are irresponsible. |
In a man's life, there are 2 phase of achievements: A successful career and a well managed immediate family. Jim Iyke is a successful man. Also the young man with 2 kids is a successful man regardless of his financial status, if he can keep his family healthy and happy. So those calling out the young dude with 2 kids are wrong, also the young dude calling out Jim Iyke is very wrong. A failed man is a grown man without a family or career to boast of. |
If you're not happy with her continuous questions better avoid her threads without insults. @OP I won't like my girl having such male friends. Most African guys don't do such without ulterior motives. |
I don't know what you mean by 'discipline' but Mercy Johnson is the most natural act amongst them. She's just ridiculously good, interprets scripts to perfection. |
You keep on it for a year like life_style.... ![]() |
Interesting narrative OP, very interesting... best I have read here by a mile. Thank you. |
money |
Sad story. Seem cooked though. |
binger: I don't want to go into details cos i'll definitely use scathing words in a pejorative outlook. But the fact remains, she has a big issue online/offline.Sorry, you know her off-line too? |
binger: Seriously babe, you have an issue...a very ginormous issue. She doesn't have issues, stop using such harsh words. I personally admire her personality, even if it's obvious she likes attention. BTW, most women are wired like that. |
FXKing2012: This is blasphemous! This is preposterous! You need deliverance from the the shackles of the devil. I pray God forgives you.Guy, you ok? |
Sweetlemon: BE HIS FRIEND!!!!Nice. You really for real? lol |
Attention seeker again ![]() |
He didn't work hard but smart: he married an older woman with cash. He's a 24 carat gold digger. ![]() |
My guy you dey fall my hand. This lady likes you so much to tell you your flaw. Classic. I don't know if it's too late now to salvage it, that is, bringing back or close to same feelings like the first time she met you. She simply wants you to man up to her and stop being a wuss. You're killing the attraction by being an enabler and not a challenge. Work on how to be a challenge and interesting to women. Aside money, 2 things keeps women interest high: challenge and humor. |
kitty kat: Ur next will be better. Stop wallowing in self ppity. People have been there and made it out alive. You too can do it and be a better person. Stephanie Okereke is a success story.Stephanie na big girl now- a celebrity. Though I understand the message- there's hope. |
Sweetlemon: Lol!Amen to that! I personally know someone here that's ready to marry you like yesterday. So be sure this real for your dignity. I'm serious now. |
Sweetlemon: Didn't you see where I wrote I don't have much time to plan the wedding and I want a variety of choices?Atleast lets see the engagement ring ![]() |
