Honestly I don't know how Nigerians reason, especially our youth. The purpose of education is to develop your reasoning capacity but unfortunately when I see the way the so called educated young people reason I don't think this country has a future.

This is a governor that has plucked his state into heavy indebtedness. A state with monthly IGR of N1.37b and has about N147b debt profile. Even if all the monthly allocation is used to pay off the debt, it would take the more than 15yrs to pay back.

This man has used the allocations of 4 governors and people are praising him?

I hope and pray we wouldn't wake up one day and see Osun State for sale on OLX or on EBay for auction.
Oga only an economic neophyte criminalise debt. Good economist will tell you Nigeria needs to borrow more to fix is infrastructural deficit. The debt was approved by the debt management office (under okonjo iweala) and they have more qualified economist than what we can laymanly imagine.
I have reservation towards his human developmental programs though.
Osun is a predominantly civil service/Academics(due to the tertiary institutions) state with little or no investment, no state can survive on the long run when all his people look up only to the state for survival. How can you change this trend?
Massive investment in infrastructure.
With the completion of the gbongan-ajegunle road project, Osogbo kwara project, you will open up the state to massive investments, just like Ogun state is presently reaping off Lagos, Agricultural produce will find their way down to Lagos with ease, real estate companies will start springing up as population explode in Lagos, tourist will find haven Osun. Good infrastructure and enabling environment will motivate investors to the state.
I understand the pains of Osun indegenes (I'm also one) but Ti ta ri ro la nkola, to ba jina tan oge niida.

I'm not impressed. A governor owning his workers salary and he is busy commissioning projects. Mtcheww...
Is he the only state governor owing salaries?

How can you live your people in debt and be building stupid roads?
How can you save your people from eternal debt when you don't borrow to invest in their future?

Only an Economic barbarian criminalise debt.
So all you ever want the state to be doing is receive money from abuja , pay salaries and expect the next Abuja stipend.
We don't do that here in the west.
We take our destinies in our hands and invest in the future of our people.

He commissioned more projects than even the FG. grin
I tell you, how he does that compare to the meagre Osun income amazes me.

You may abuse him for not paying workers as at when due (baba hafusa) lol...that's a national issue.
You may castigate him for plunging the state into debt (aregbese)...debt is not a crime after all if used/ invested prudently.
But when it come to infrastructural development aregbe is waist above all his colleague and even the FG.

ONA BABA ONA

I hope he quickly complete the 120km Osun (Gbogan) - Lagos (ajegunle) project and the Oshogbo kwara road. This will Open up the state to massive investment.

why dont you build it yourself??...why are you waiting for the goverment to build it for you??...

look...all you igbos can turn even umuhahia in something better than lagos...just relocate their and bloody stay their....!!!!.... angry angry angry
Abi o, they have three of the largest markets in west Africa but they can't leverage on that to develop any of their state into a Commercially viable state.
All they know is FG, they will never hold their docile and ineffective leaders responsible.

kettykin:
you are quite correct the FG did nit build the industrial estate but if you check i did not mention industrial estate in my write up , clearly mentioned federal scretariat and other offices owend by the FG. if Awolow left his seat of government which clearly was in ibadan and built an industril estate in ikeja how does that prevent the Federal Governemtn contemplating a new commercial capital.
Federal secretariats Hqtrs have since relocated to abuja, what you have in Lagos are mere Auxiliary offices.
Awolowo was the western region leader in which Ikeja district and a larger part of Lagos was under. I know most of you don't know this and always ignorantly assume that the whole of Lagos state was the former FCT.
Lagos became the commercial capital of Nigeria due to the foresight and forthrightness of it leaders and not because the FG made some budget available for its development into a commercial capital.
Same cannot be said of your eastern leaders who always depend on others/FG to change their Diapers.

So wake your leaders up to develop your eastern states too to a commercial capital before you also start complaining about Ogun state being the Industrial capital of Nigeria.

Omo nna. If you had this kind of leadership in the east, the number of ifesinachi buses shipping ipob almajiris to Lagos in search of greener pastures will reduce. The project you're condemning now will still be a trade haven for your brothers who specializes in gala and fan yogo once completed. What can you people do without Yorubas. Yet you scream biafra like a castrated goat sad
You dey mind the Olofo/Olodo.
Development is alien and anathema to the potor region that's why IMO state is just commissioning its first flyover and potbellied Governor is busy unveiling status of people who don't give a damn about them.. Imagine
Enugu is busy commissioning potholes.
Anambra commissioned a bricklayer constructed deathtrap flyover.
Abia state epitomise non development.

So it's normal for potor people to hate development. They are not use to it.

kettykin:
yorubas can take lagos after the federal government builds a new commercial capital the same way China developed Shenzhen
And who told you the FG built Lagos into a commercial capital.
When Awolowo was building the first industrial Estate in Ikeja what was your Zik doing?
BTW you epileptic jaundiced history failed to educate you that there's a difference between Lagos FCT and Lagos State.

Everyone should get a camera phone and record the announcement of results in their polling stations and upload it to facebook. It will act as insurance when APC begins to announce their fictitious results written in Abuja. That way you have video evidence of the correct number announced at the polling station.

Even if APC sends police and army to polling stations to prevent people from entering with their phones, let the mothers and women hide it in their underwear and bring them. Everyone must record the elections reziltz announced in their polling station and post to facebook immediately. It will checkmate those crooks already writing the results right now in Abuja
