Lol, why the curse?
The Osun incident has long been resolved and we've moved on. We don't dwell in the past. Friction is inevitable, but the ability to resolve our differences is what makes us Yoruba.

Ogonimilitant:
The truth is that an average yourba muslim sees Hausa man and Fulan muslem as their brother brother more than Christians.

If you go to Lagos state civil service, you will pity yoruba christans. 80% of the civil servants are the Muslims
Majority of the civil (not up to 80% tho) servant being muslim. Yes you're correct. And this is why;
The founding fathers of Yoruba politics were majorly Christians (Jeremiah Awolowo, Samuel Akintola, Abraham Adesanya, Herbert Macaulay etc) but then came the waves of Christian pentecostalism demonizing politics and traditions, hence yoruba Christians became passive towards politics leaving the political structure in the hands of the Muslims (tinubu, Akande and co who were disciples of Awo took over). They (the xtians) will rather choose to dominate the Academic and Corporate space.
Go to any political gathering/meeting in the SW and I can assure you, you'll find close to 80% of them to be Muslims. (except Ekiti and Ondo who are predominantly xtians).
And so far civil service jobs are often politically influenced, its normal/logical to have more Muslims.
That's gradually changing, as Christian youths are now joining different political parties of their choice.

When issues like this arise, ranting and playing the victim won't help but a conscious/ concerted and logical effort to correcting the wrongs.

Have you got any evidence of violent conversion to Islam in Yoruba land

JUST ONE?
FYI the greatest proportion of Muslims in the SW is in Lagos state. Educate yourself.
Islam has been in Yorubaland for centuries before Christianity.
The fact is there is no recorded history of violent conversion to Islam in Yorubaland.NONE
I beg free all this kids. The Yoruba dynamics and religion diplomacy is a mystery to them. They will wait for a thousand century for their seed of discord to germinate.

You can believe anything you want to believe, its your opinion. That wouldn't void the fact that I accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and personal saviour. My bible didn't teach me hate, I'm to love my neighbour as myself. So get behind me you children of hate.

I HAVE SAID TIMES WITHOUT NUMBER THAT THE PROBLEM WITH SOUTHERNERS IS DEEPLY ROOTED IN THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SOUTHERN CHRISTIANS (YORUBA AND IGBO CHRISTIANS) AND YORUBA MUSLIMS.

SOUTH WEST MUSLIMS WOULD RATHER DINE WITH HAUSA FULANIS WHO THE BELIEVE ARE MORE SUPERIOR TO THEM WHEN IT COMES TO RELIGION.

SOUTH WEST MUSLIMS WOULD RATHER GIVE OUT THEIR DAUGHTERS HAND IN MARRIAGE TO HAUSA/FULANI MUSLIM.

SOUTH WEST MUSLIMS REGARDS BUHARI AS THE GREATEST AND HOLIEST MAN IN NIGERIA PRESENTLY.

SOUTH WEST MUSLIMS ANTICS ARE

(1) YORUBA IS YORUBA

(2) DONT DIVIDE US ALONG RELIGIOUS LINE

(3) THERE IS NO RELIGIOUS DISCRIMINATION IN THE SOUTH WEST

(4) BOLA AHMED TINUBU, A MUSLIM MARRIED A CHRISTIAN WOMAN

(5) FASHOLA A MUSLIM MARRIED A CHRISTIAN WOMAN

(6) GOVERNOR AMBODE IS A CHRISTIAN

NOW MY QUESTION IS

IF THERE IS NO RELIGIOUS DISCRIMINATION IN THE SOUTH WEST, WHY WOULD A SANE NAIRALAND MUSLIM FROM SOUTH WEST TELL US THAT THEY ARE THE MAJORITY. IS THAT NOT DISCRIMINATIONhuh

WHY DO YOU ALWAYS REMIND ME THAT TINUBU MARRIED A CHRISTIAN WOMANhuh

WHEN IS PROF ISHAQ AKINTOLA AND HIS PARTNER IN CRIME, PROF ISHAQ OLOYEDE GOING TO MARRY OF THEIR DAUGHTERS TO A SOUTH WEST CHRISTIANhuh

WOULD AMBODE HAVE BECOME THE GOVERNOR OF LAGOS STATE WITHOUT THE HELP OF BOLA AHMED TINUBU AND HIS BIGOTED MUSLIM BROTHERShuh

ONE ALCATRAZ005 AND COLONELDRAKE TRIED TO ADDRESS THIS ISSUE SOME MONTHS BACK BUT SOME MUSLIMS LIKE MICHAEL004, MARKFEMI AND JESUSLOVESYOU ACTIVATED THEIR CHRISTIAN MONIKERS IN OTHER TO DRAW SYMPATHY FROM GULLIBLE SOUTH WEST CHRISTIANS.

THESE ARE SOME FUNDAMENTAL QUESTIONS THAT NEEDS URGENT ANSWERS
You're on a long thing, if you think you can separate us (Yoruba's) on the basis of religion.
Years of joint Harmony, tranquility, love, intermarriage and unity cannot be broken by your cheap propaganda.
We are first Yoruba before being Christian and Muslims. You're judged and valued based on the content of your character and not on your religion affiliation.

Yinmu. Talk is cheap. Enugu state is a glorified village of which only a small fraction (probably no more than 2 local government) out of the entire state is urbanized/'developed', and that's by SE standards anyway, while the rest are rural areas (dude, I have enough drone shots to prove this). You can Quote me anywhere. In otherwords the 'city' is just too small to even be considered robustly developed let alone the entire state. Outside that tiny 'city', the rest of the state is an overgrown village. It's an insult to compare your enugu village to Ibadan. You can remove no less than 20 Enugu 'cities' from within Ibadan. Ibadan has 5 mega malls (compared to just the Polo Park mall in Enugu), 4 Cinemaplexes (compared to the one in Enugu), arguably the best and most equipped teaching hospital in the entire country, is home to way more multinationals and international brands that don't even exist in the entire SE, let alone Enugu (I'm talking about the likes of KFC [which has 4 outlets], ColdStone, Dominos Pizza, e.t.c). Enugu has no leader o, guy. Even your own SE kinsmen would agree with me on that, considering your 'leader's show of shame episode during the fulani herdsmen attacks on his people. Enugu is a civil service state so you aren't fooling anyone with your crap. Aba and Onitsha can brag a bit about having considerably modest economic output but certainly not Enugu.

Dude, I just gave you data from specific and different sources (telcos, euromonitor, business insider, and fraym) that clearly show that your region is an economic featherweight, in spite of your hype and baseless posturing. Those stats are from non-Nigerian/credible sources that can be VERIFIED. You on the other hand have failed to refute any of them. And yes, those voice and internet usage data are credible measures of purchasing power because they are consistent with the other data that I presented on cities with the biggest markets AND fastest consumer spending in sub-saharan africa. 'Recharge cards' have become basic necessities and valid measure of purchasing power and consumer spending. Pray tell what these Anambra 'high bank depositors' are spending their money on that isn't getting captured or reflected in their local economy to catch the attention of data analysts?? You even unwittingly (and probably) under-represented the state's population in your attempt to show that it has a relatively under performing economy, but in any case, why is this purported high purchasing power of Anambrarians not reflecting in the state's VAT, neither is it reflecting in the state's IGR? The fact that some traders at Onitsha main market make multiple bank deposits in a day doesn't translate to a 'high purchasing power', mr. okoro.

Anyhow, I wasn't really expecting you to put up any credible rebuttal (besides that weak and tired bank deposits crap -- it's interesting that Anambra, in spite of all the noises and hype you all make about the state, is yet to make a debut on the international scene undecided).

Dude, Lagos didn't even make the cut on the 'fastest growing consumer markets in sub-saharan' africa list, hope you noticed that? Anambra has the largest population of any SE state, yet Onitsha its most populous and commercial town, didn't make the cut on any of the lists I referenced. Benin city made the cut on the top 35 Biggest markets list (at #32). Where is this elusive Anambra purchasing power that caused the likes of Delta, Kaduna, and Edo state inhabitants to have more money to spend on recharge cards than almighty Anambrahuh If Anambra people are spending so much (mind you, if you aren't spending how will your local economy be stimulated, how will money circulate?), where are they spending the money? What are they consuming that isn't getting captured or attracting the notice of data analysts??

Guy, this right here is the biggest bullshyt of all. Obiano's political opponents within Anambra have challenged him to prove the veracity of his $5-billion dollar worth of investment claim, and his best retort through his handlers was that it's based on previously signed MOUs that are awaiting execution. In otherwords, they're non-existent investments that can't be verified. There's absolutely NO WAY that a state like Anambra would attract that much in investments and the entire country wouldn't feel the impact let alone the natives of the state (perhaps in your twisted mind, you're confusing $5-billion with the scandalous $5-million Ugu export claims). The Ogun investment -related report I cited was sourced from MAN (Manufacturers Association of Nigeria) and the figures were for half of that year (2014) -- the state actually attracted a total of N690-billion in manufacturing sector investments in 2014 [ https://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/05/ogun-state-attracted-n690bn-investments-2014/ ]. The previous year (2013), the same Ogun led other zones with about 60 percent of investments into the manufacturing sector, closely followed by Oyo/Ondo/Osun/Ekiti and Kano (Sharada/Chalawa).[ https://guardian.ng/business-services/industry/nigeria-s-industrial-sector-in-perspective-by-man/ ] In 2015, Ogun repeated the same feat when (according to MAN) it similarly attracted 69% of the investments into that sector. And according to a british envoy, Ogun attracts 75% of FDI that comes into Nigeria. http://punchng.com/ogun-attracts-75-fdi-into-nigeria-uk-envoy/ undecided lipsrsealed

Meanwhile, in the SE:

https://s1.postimg.org/5b2vliy4sv/overtaker.jpg

Dude, those investments you listed are yet to materialize. They were more or less MOUs cheesy. You must be from Anambra coz you and that Obiano guy have a penchant for deceptively appropriating MOUs as though they're actual investments. Same thing applies to the Aba chinese shoe one you also touched on -- a kobo of that proposed investment has not yet landed in Nigeria let alone alaigboland. Your own people are already crying to their Ikpeazu to desist from inviting the chinese into Aba shoe industry coz they're afraid of competition. [ https://www.vanguardngr.com/2017/06/aba-shoe-makers-jittery-chinese-shoe-magnets-investment-aba/ ] Look, when these investments arrive, they'll certainly be captured and we'll all be here to celebrate them.

Dude, you think too highly of yourself. Lagos debt profile that you're masturbating over hasn't stopped your people from emigrating to Lagos and the rest of the 'indebted' SW en masse for economic sustenance. Until it does, you are just blowing hot air coz even your own folks ain't buying what you're tryna sell. undecided #Real Talk.

ibabz:
i don't like arguing because I believe everyone is entitled to his / her opinion. However, I will like to correct some of your point.

1. In 1999 when Obasanjo became the President, he said one major challenge confronting his administration was servicing debt with about $6b annually. This was loan incurred by past administrations. He said no Country can survive under that huge debt. I don't have any issue if any government - Federal, State, or LG borrow money. But the clause is, that loan must be paid fully before leaving the office. Failure to pay back before leaving the office should attract jail sentence and all his properties and assets seized by the government. Believe me if this clause is there, our debt profile would reduced drastically. Most of the money borrowed often end up in their private bank account both locally and abroad. If you look at the proposed 2018 budget, over N2tr would be used to service debt. The question I want you to answer, did the project that money was used for yield that N2tr?

2. I keep saying it and I will say it again and again, LAGOS IS A TIME BOMB! How do you justify a state that's the richest state in Nigeria and the most indebted state in Nigeria. That's is why I never praised Fashola's government. A state that has a monthly IGR of over N30b - over N360b annually. In Fashola's 8yrs, Lagos earned about N3trn. The same state also has over $1b debt. The question is, what did they do with all the money? Of course, they built a personal blog for N78m.

3. You mentioned advanced country. Yes, this countries, in most cases borrow money to equip their military Base. Some of the equipment are later sold to developing countries for profits. No advanced country would borrow money to construct Road or build school or hospital. They only borrow to 1. Defend and protect their country. 2. For investment purposes.

4. Buhari's government borrowed about N2trn in 2015 and when asked the finance minister what the money was used for, she said "I think". She couldn't tell us specifically what N2trn was used for.

5. I hope when all these loans are matured for repayment, those project would have yielded the money back. Otherwise, we may see our country or state for sale on OLX.
Lol, you just show your economic ineptitude. Lagos debt profile is rated by Fitch at an healthy B+. The new stat on Fiscal responsibility and viability still has Lagos topping the list.
Nigeria debt to GDP is still around 20% it only become worrisome when it start approaching the 60% mark.
Only Economic deficient folks criminalise debt. The question should be what is the debt uses for. Good Economist will tell you Nigeria needs to borrow more to bridge it infrastructural deficit.
No nation developed solely on its income not to talk of third world countries like ours with huge infrastructural deficit. How do we catch up with the rest of the world without borrowing. Our budget of #8.6T (<30b dollars) the highest so far, is not even up to the money US spends on it foreign missions in Syria and Iraq alone, and were talking of moving close to those country. Do you know south Africa, Egypt, Algeria, Libya annual budget?
