Hello guys and ladies in the house,

Could you kindly help suggest colleges that would grant admission to a 33 years old adult. His academic qualification is a Diploma he got in 2003 from a Nigerian University. He applied to Selkirk and Lambton colleges for Diploma, Advanced diploma and PgD in Business Administration but was denied admission because he has a study gap of over 5 years.

Please is this clause of "5 years gap" thing applicable to all colleges and universities in Canada?

PS: I actually suggested that he send emails to other schools to find out if he could be admissible, but I'm actually wondering how many schools he would end up sending emails to.

Please anyone that has overcome a similar challenge kindly respond. Would sincerely appreciate responses from the house and from experienced peeps.

One love house!
.
I have exactly 5 years Gap but got double admission in same school in a very short time. I think the gas is not really the schools concern per say its the embassy that frowns @ d gap

It really depends on the finiancial expenses for a year. But i'm sure it would be Ok since you would be given a work permit and not solely depend on your sponsor for everything.
Thanks bro. I was given PGd in niagara I want to pay tuition of 50% first b4 visa application, another thing is , is it necessary to bring my own statement of acc as I am not sponsoring myself. My acc no even reach 200k o chai!

The CCTV hardly every work and even if the work a simple face cap well bent or a hat can block the view. And imagine a cctv in adeniyi jone atm machine viewing some robber dat finishes his satanic ordeal and goes to his house in Epe. How d police wan start d investigation and that's if d cctv even worked

Bro did u say u got admission without paying application fee?
Dapsey66:
>> I guess that depends but I believe Centennial College has more ratings than Conestoga. Not many people will agree with this but that is by the way. I did not have to pay the $95 application fee. Serli said there was no need. I got my admission after a week though and paid upfront school fees.

I have tried not to comment on political threads but this is not a wise way to go by any party. If only they know that there are still people like myself who have not made up their minds yet on who to vote for, statements like this help put things in clearer perspective... This kind of talk is really not helping in winning the hearts of REAL THINKING NIGERIANS. This is really immature, LET THE WORK U HAVE DONE SPEAK FOR U!

Ditch him if u want to, you can submit an application urself, i did mine myself jst like most Nairalanders nd my application was successful. the services u pay agents for are gotten here for free. nonetheless if u can afford the agent, it is fine as well

Ecash planet can we communicate closely? Are u also going to Niagra? U can reach me on consultscholars@yahoo.com
EcashPlanet:

You talking about Maple? I'm quite sure.
As long as you have your admission letter sent to you by the agent you can go ahead to gather all supporting documents and apply for a study permit.
Travel / Re: Travelling To Canada Part 7 by Pyroxene: 12:45am On Mar 01, 2015
Thanks a lot that was very clear! I got admission to niagra tru an academic agent. I was not hinted on future charges. I am just discovering they charges for visa app which was diff from admission processing fee is too outrageous. My question is can I ditch d academic agent and go abt d processing mysel? Hope it won't work against me as d said agent is quite a major player in the canadian eductational system for years

Career / Re: How Lucrative Is OPTOMETRY by Pyroxene: 2:04pm On Feb 23, 2015
OK, there is a Difference between Optometry, Optician, ophthalmology etc majority of peeps will not be able to answer your question. BUT I ll tell u from personal experience, Most people in optometry are people dat did not get their preferred option which was Medicine, so Most of them go tru the program feeling sad all tru,
I ll tell u why u should not study optometry:
1- I believe u did not choose the program, u are looking for a reason to like it because dat is what u probably were given

2- Are u ready to stand the dichotomy Medical students ll give provide all tru u years in skul and even in ur professional career?

3- Quite Frankly there are almost 80% of ladies doing the programe. Hence seen as a womans course

4-Nigerian Factor has limited optometry to opticians. Without Lasik surgery

5- I can go on and on

But I can also give u reasons why its also a great program
