yomi007k:
Its d pharmacists n laboratory scientists job to find a cure and not the doctors.

I thought doctors are the lords? They are asking for all nigerians money for hazard allowance, what happens to those nurses, ward ordlies and even the lab scientists whom the samples are taken to for test and confirmation?...the 100k shd be given to them and all the ebola patients put in d cage with them let's see how dat money will protect them.

Family / Re: Is My Son's School "Over Teaching?" by QEFRAN6: 9:06pm On Sep 17, 2013
@Op,I dnt think the school is over teaching ur son...we learnt stuff like dat in our house b4 we even start sch and at such age,cos mumsy is a teacher and it had no negative effects on all of us.(Me and my siblings) rather it adds to us,there is no day I don't get compliment on ma handwritting excecpt I didn't go out or write and eachtime I remember my mum cos she did a gr8 job...all u need do is support ur son by putting him through wen he comes back home.As soon as a child begins to talk, anoda level of learning sets in,humans hav the ability to learn a lot of things under condusive environments...I think u shd b proud that he is not being draged backward, rather moving forward and standing tall.

0key: Some people don't understand what it means to b a consultant. A medical consultant is a doctor that specializes in a particular area of medicine or surgery. That is why u have neurologist, cardiologist, urologist, cardothoraxic surgeon, orthopaedic surgeon, ophthalmologist etc. These specialists have different roles they play in teaching hospitals and FMCs, and they don't encroach on one another's field. So, d reason for doctors to b consultants is not disputed. Coming over to health workers who are clamouring to b consultants, are they going to perform the same work or their work is going to b divided. For eg, in pharmacy department, if they have consultants, what would b their job description? Are they all going to perform the same function (i.e. compounding and dispensing of drugs) or is there any special thing one consultant is going to do different from another one?
Again what are the areas they are to specialize and the scope of these areas?

A doctor is the head of d medical team cos of his centralised knowledge he possesses which is not sufficient in other health fields. For instance, a doctor has broad knowledge about laboratory, pharmacy and patient's care coupled with his own work. He supervises how things should b done to achieve total cure & improvements in quality of life. Hence, their role is a centralised and unifying one.

Proper understanding of d above will go a long way to curb unnecessary tensions in healthcare sector.

Hahahahahaha!wow see display of ignorance in high order...pls better park well cos a doctor knws nothg(shikum) about medical laboratory...if they do,they won't be sending specimen for urgent culture and expect the result immediately after few minutes, they won't be requesting for antibiotics sensitivity were there was no growth after culturing a sample (simply because they belif the result of every sample they sent to the lab for culture should have antibiotic sensitivity were they can mak prescriptions)...and many more, pls let me not expose u guys here...Learn to talk on were u hav ideas abt and stop encroaching at other teritories cos ul be LOST.

ACM10: The law by default recognized doctors as the head of a health institution. Only doctors are taken to court in the event of patient's mismanagement. Therefore, the doctors hv inalienable right to head a health institution. If the health workers are to share doctors responsibilities, they should be equally prepared to share the blame.

Y won't they. Be the ones taken to court wen they mismanage a patient? Shld others pay for dia crimes..NO.
They shd learn to be deligent and more careful in their duties just as other proffesionals do to avoid court,SIMPLE.
Secondly, who said they have the right to head other proffessional bodies?..if they want to head everywhere in the hospital, they shd b prepared to head the cleaners, security, works, admin and other sub units in the hospital.
...Sometimes I wonder why they r scared of other proffessional bodies.

Hmmmmm! It baffles me somuch wen dese physicians brag abt them being d all in all were as they r nothg if u take a close look at them, esp the new ones in the system today...u all knw that u cannot and will never be able to operate alone without the help of other health profefesionals...all u guys do is assumption and without the med.lab sct who corrects and put u on the right tract thro a test, and the pharmacist too corrects the nonsense u scrible down in the name of prescription, while the nurses takes absolute care of the patients in the wards...only God knws how many ppl ul b killing per day.All u guys do in the hospital as far as I'm concern is pen down the patients data and history of which any secretary can do that perfectly...why on earth do u want to be were u shdnt?...its time u guys get another parking lott as uv occupied other ppls space for so long and the owners are back and ready to occupy their space...if u guys can operate alone, why on earth did u discharge patients from the wards and refuse admitting new ones while the other health workers went on strike...y can't u guys accept the truth for once?

NYSC / Re: Picture Of Corpers Being Punished By Soldiers In Camp by QEFRAN6: 7:41pm On Nov 18, 2012
Super1759: Hahahahahha. This pix reminds me of the chaos I caused when I was in camp.
Normally,10pm is light out. So me and my guys were gisting and I suddenly gave a loud roar of laughter, I didn't even notice the commandant was at the hostel door.
"Quiet every one here" we were at the extreme,we ignored him(we thought he ws a mere soldier).
The next we had was " everyone jump out,on your knees"
At that point, people start trooping out kneeling down on the hard rock, I realised say wahala deh, I sneaked inbetween a ghana-must-go and a cupboard by my bedside, unseen. All other people went out,on their knees and asked to walk to the field, that's the highest punishment I have ever seen, people's knees were bruised and some were crying like baby(even my guy). when they got to the field, they were asked to produced the noise maker, one aboki volunteered to find me, he couldn't find me in the crowd. They were again asked to roll to the next post, until they produce me (they know me very well but can't say how I disappeared),I was peeping from the window. So when the commandant noticed their innocency, he said "that boy must be a crook,he must have sneaked away" he collected my name and platoon number.
To cut the story short,I was on the run till the camp fire night, when I went to him. I gave him a grEen bottle and we became cool friends(I still have his number now), my platoon commandant will always signal me when they come to look for me in the field. No be small thing, that's the highest fun I had.

Nice one bro.....fun indeed. My experience was woiw at fika in yobe state in 2007

Jokes Etc / Re: If Honourable Patrick Obahiagbon Was To Be An English Teacher by QEFRAN6: 7:23pm On Nov 17, 2012
Foxy_Rebirth: I was going through the dictionary to check meaning of words while reading an exciting novel, it later occurred to me, if it is to be Honourable Patrick Obahiagbon that is to teach us simple proverbs and their meaning in school, how is it going to sound like, going by the way he murders vocabulary...

But nothing spoil sha, I was able to come up with these ones and funny enough, it looks really close to what he would say when asked to teach in a class....

Please enjoy, and add yours if you have....

Peace
