There is no such US Immigration law for a grand parent to petition for grand kids.

When you don’t know and you will not allow those who know teach you thats uscis website look at the marked section ,go to dr google and learn!

You people are ceeating unnecessary panic

This is a first step to modyfying the rules but as of this new drama it does not affect birthright citezenship,it affects ur grand kids if they are not born in the us or if your kids never lived in the usa for 5years of which 2 of those 5 years must be after age 14.

Go to their website and read the head of the organization did an interview and said it does not affect birthright citizenship

To abolish birthright citizenship an amendment or wxecutive order is needed

The new rules affect ur grand kids if they are born outside usa,ur kids didnt school in usa and ao dint live up to 5yra here hope this clarifies d tension!

In fact if you ever get a green card or citizenship you can transfer to your grandkids if ur kids dont meet the criteria ,as long as you have lived in the usa for 5 years

Just build your countries and give birth there. Sheesh.

Right now naija is undergoing total destruction

(boko haram,ritual,kidnapping,police vs soldier killing,bandits,ruga,coza,jamb no score,hospital no drug,bsc no job,el zaky zaky,sowore,senate chop all the money)
Maybe after the total destruction we will start rebuilding but for now all road lead to better pali.

Thanks Ma'am but pls how can this mistake be rectified? At the time I went for baby's birth there was no talk about this and really didn't take note of the difference.

I'm all about the honest route so if anyone knows what to do pls help. Thanks

But remember using a naija addresss make it harder for u to proove ur child is resident in america when you bring them for college to pay home fees,u will not qualify also harder for dem to proove residence when getting pali for ur grandkids .....so dem get sence wan hook u for later all na trap

Well summarised........

Theres a lil more for those of us that had kids here our grandchildren do not get citizenship automatically except our children are resident in the united states,note that residence in us is different from physical presence (the one used for green card),owning a house or renting does not proove physical presence except you are actually living there more or less like having a social security no,living in the house n paying a mortgage these are e.g of d proof

• U.S. marriage certificate indicating the address of the bride and groom;
• Property rental leases, property tax records, and payment receipts;
• Deeds;
• Utility bills;
• Automobile registrations;
• Professional licenses;
• Employment records or information;
• Income tax records and income records, including W-2 salary forms;
• School transcripts;
• Military records; and
• Vaccination and medical records

So basically our grand children need to be born on us soil too or our kids have d above or they follow the immigration route and naturalize but they can’t run for presidency if they naturalize
Pull ur kids ears to come here n birth ur grandchildren.

Last last uk citizenship na still d highest gelato!!!

Aamey 15

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/apply-renew-passport/under-16.html

1) passport If father is around
Get birth cert preferably 2 copies
Snap babys passport photo with white background
Fill ds-11 form leave notarized spaces free
Calculate the cost of passport some passport offices take postal order some u can pay with card
You will have the form notarized by a notary public in the presence of u,hubby and baby and it costs about $20-$50
Take it with ur passport datapages,pix,birth cert of social security is out fill on ds11 form if not fill 000000
Go to passport agency and apply i prefer to expedite d passport application and expedite the return mail service

If dad is not available

https://ng.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/local-resources-of-u-s-citizens/notaries-public/

Follow d link for lagos or abuja its notary seevices not passsport services

Dad should fill ds3053 form and leave relevant pages blank
Book appointment at usa consulate for natary service
Take $50 in naira along
His and ur data page and front of passport
(Am not sure if dad needs a birthcert to do this one which is where am confused cos it states on d birth cert you cant photocopy it)
He will dhl this form take with other requirements to passport agency usually a library or post office.

http://www.nigeriaembassyusa.org/index.php?page=passports

I only know process for naija passport not visa
Fill form online
Preregister your atm card with innovate 1(1 month bank statement scanned on same page with atm card block the middle 8 digits also scan your data page to them ,they reply is 24hrs)
And then pay
You will get interview date ,appear on that day with letter of consent cosigned by both parents ,hubby can do it and send then you sign ur part
They will tell you to come back anoda day for pick up,atlanta does same day pick up

Pls i need more info on documents req for notary appt if you find out

Gde pls i have a few questions
1) pls what docuuments are required to be sighted in usa embassy in lagos for notarizaton apart from ds11 and ds 3053 and passport of both parents, do they need birth cert cos on it it says you should not photocopy the birth cert.

2) pls for naija passport can the letter of consent be notarized or do both parents have to appear

Thank you.

Try having your baby elsewhere.
1) you used the wrong visa to birth in 2015 which have earned alot of pple denials

2)your bill is less than 10k while some have escaped this combining it with reason 1 made d case worse.

3)whats the time interval to your next application and what has changed about your application...did u pay back discounts etc

4) why should d whole family travel cos you are having a baby? You need a robust travel history to pull this off,how many times did u use ur last us visa

5)travel with d us citizen alone or travel with ur mum alone or travel with ur husband and leave the kids with mum,or best still travel alone and spare ur kids having to explain why dey were refused a uss visa when dey r off to uni .....abroad

6)be careful with canAda cos if you apply you must get it o,
apply with ur mum or hubby alone
Have good bank statement,be honest about usa denial add you hospital receipts to ur canada app if applying for medical or else even shengen will flag ur passport red tomorrow

Be positive its possible

Thanks house, I have carefully read all the advice given. Though at some point I was confused.

I appreciate all inputs and I intend to travel with the existing visa, come with a clean undiscounted bill, zero balance et al( hope I am not forgetting anything).

The reason for this decision is... though I have a reasonable account statement, work ties and marital ties in Nigeria, having followed this thread I observe that they reject for flimsy reasons or at their discretion. I would be as honest as I should at the POE and come back to face the risk later. Probably trump is out by then or maybe not. Either way it would be a risk reappearing now or after birth.

Thanks for the kind thoughts and replies again.

Everyones decision must be respected.

Pls keep ur bill around 10k for vaginal 12/15k for c/s. Keep reciepts of scans,labs,immunizations.

Stay away from texas and virginia.

Most importantly mention at POE you are having a baby.

Keep ur stay as brief as possible.....all d best.

Please house, I really do not know if this is the right way to ask a question in a thread. I need advice.

I have US Visa expiring Jan (did renewal in 2018 jan) however I have used this visa twice last year for casual trips prior to having a bun in the oven. What do you advice, as I am due in the first week of December and just got married. Hubby does not have a visa at this time and I intend to use a reputable hospital. My worries are no more change of intent letter, reappearance at the embassy et al. Should I just travel and come back with a clean bill?

I like to look at things long term,if u apply for a b2 visa now,ur account balance is healthy and u choose a reasonably priced hospital your chances are very high for an approval but it could still fail.

If you travel on this visa now you will definately enter the usa and have this baby .......but what happens at your next renewal ......the VO will hold on to this...... you may escape it or you could get denied at that point,your chances would be much lower.

Hope i havent confused u further

So basically ur child is ill, ur now pregnant nd cant travel so hubby is travelling with the baby,you both cant afford the healthcare and are being funded by a charity for treatment.

The best person to have followed this child is you ,if for any reason u cant come back early n u have ur baby in usa that would be trouble.......

If the childs condition is bad i.e a hole in the heart and the charity amount is alot to cover for as much as child will need they will consider,they wont let a child that could be saved die!

If they dont believe u dey will ask u to go to india.

But one parent n the sick child alone should apply not both of you.

I wish your child a full recovery and Gods mercy with the VO.

Its up to you but a Nigerian man sacrificing 4 months to look after a 4 year old in the USA with a hospital bill of $10,000 would be a red flag for any VO except am missing your narrative

Document to proove he can care for a child would be training with a nanny academy which may look worse,these VO’s are abrest with our culture,or travel with ur mom or mil

May be good u go alone, u want to proove ties to home,but then again depends on ur travel history and proof of funds,thats what i wud do.

With walter carrington this is just advice u can meet a vo who will give u all ,but i wont bet on d odds esp hubbys 4 months Visit!
If he is a salary earner max leave is 6wks no biz man wud leave his biz for 4months typically.

You can use abuja or lagos. Is this ur first baby in usa,whats ur hospital budget,travel history,

I have noticed justwise SUPPORTS everything doctoresesparati says no matter how dumb and the reasons are not far fetched!!!

Lawyer = to suing? Really what about arbitration/ appealing etc
what about a breach of contract against the hospital for an unsolicited adjustment forcing them to eitheh formally write the embassy on this matter or accepting this discount back which would automatically change the basis for denials.

Since u donno n u don’t want to hear from those who know khip misleading people and “suspecting innocent people”,whilst the real mecenaries hound their victims for cash...

Anyone is free to abuse me the Truth remains a Bitter pill.
