Part of the reason I mentioned Common Sense in my last response is that you speak out of sentiments and emotions, so your sense of reasoning is beclouded, unfortunately. Let me ask you, don't the so-called troops, the officers and men fighting, as you put it, dont earn salaries? They are doing their jobs for the pay they earn. Do I also earn the pay with them? So if they don't do the job well, why should I not talk when its part of my tax money that is being used to pay them? Two weeks ago I remembered that Air Force Day was approaching. Then I forgot.

The sight of 3 Attak helicopters and 2 Super Tucanos flying over Five Cowrie Creek last Friday reminded me. One of the helicopters was carrying the Nigerian flag.

The Nigerian Air Force was founded on April 18th, 1964 (61 years ago). There have been open days (when members of the public are allowed to visit selected air bases and aircraft), medical outreach, sports competitions and other activities to mark the event.

Of course the activity that has caught the attention of the public the most has been the air display. People have been trying to find out what's going on.

I wanted to get my mum a small car last year.
Didn't have money for a tokunbo so I asked my brothers to help me surf jiji for any affordable car.
They showed me a Civic 08 and since I drive one myself, I felt it would be nice to match with my mum.

My brothers and a Kazeem went for inspection and they discovered the car had a few things to be fixed which made them slash the price from 2.4M that we initially agreed to #2,050,000.
This was in June last year.

They set out to drive the car down to my house before heading to my mum's but brethrens, since June last year till this very moment as I type this. The car has only been parked from one Kazeem shop to another, on some days it was left by the road side or a petrol station for days out of frustration. I have spent above 700k on it all to no fruition. It's been almost a year now and this car hasn't made me it my house yet talk more of sending it to my mum. I contacted the guy and he said he had tried by slashing the price and that was all he could do. At some point, he stopped picking my brother's calls.
Please what advice can you give me?

Can I get him arrested or take legal measures against him at least? Or has this become my headache for life?
I need chunks of recommendations please.

The only brand of car I can buy in that state to fix a few things like you said is Toyota. all these honda, Nissan etc, no be me and them o. They can fall hand. Imagine this ur own case now is beginning to sound like a spiritual problem. Honestly, one year is too much. Buying Nigerian used cars is not advisable. Bad roads, poor maintenance culture, poor mechanics knowledge, etc. I no envy you at all. My advice, omo just take it as a bad market and move on.Nothing will come out of this case if you arrest the person. Next time, look for someone who truly knows about cars to check them for you.

Confirming the occurrence, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) said through its Director of Public Affairs & Consumer Protection, Mr. Michael Achimugu, that such unexpected events are part of the operational challenges that sometimes lead to flight delays.

Posting on X (formerly Twitter), Achimugu explained, “Monitoring reports yesterday indicated that an Air Peace aircraft ran into a large antelope, decimating the animal and leaving the aircraft on ground.

As a result, flights meant to be operated by this aircraft would naturally be disrupted, even though engineers are on the ground to assess and fix the plane. Passengers waiting would naturally be infuriated.”

He added that while the incident was beyond Air Peace’s control, the airline is still responsible for promptly informing passengers, issuing refunds when necessary, and providing care.

He warned that the NCAA would sanction the airline if it failed to meet its obligations.

A source close to Air Peace, while speaking with News360 Nigeria, clarified that the incident happened during landing and was immediately handled in line with aviation procedures.

“It happened upon landing. As an aviation procedure, the aircraft has been checked and fixed. It was not a big issue,” the source noted.

In the meantime, the NCAA has assured travelers of safety at the Abuja airport and promised to investigate how the animal found its way onto the runway, with a view to preventing a recurrence.
